Companion Training

I would recommend TJ to anyone for dog training. He has a lot of experience and loves what he does. He was punctual, professional, and positive through the whole process. We trained a service dog for my special needs son. TJ was so patient and kind. He knows dogs and is very passionate about teaching them to help people. I felt he truly wants to help people have a better life.

I have endless amounts of good things to say about TJ and the whole experience of getting to train with him. Working one on one with him was amazing because I could tell he was truly invested in me and my dog and really cared about us succeeding and getting certified. Even when training was difficult or frustrating, it really meant a lot to know he was always ready to give super helpful tips and advice whenever I needed it.

He's so knowledgeable about what he does and you can tell he loves working with dogs and their owners. Not to mention he's fun to talk to during training and my dog absolutely loved him! Even though my dog is certified as a service animal now, we still keep in touch because that's how great he is, and I would absolutely love to work with him in the future! I have had the opportunity to work with TJ for the past two years. He helped me navigate the entire process of finding a puppy that would meet my daughters needs, create goals and set up a plan for training. This was our first time raising a puppy and TJ was so helpful answering all of my questions and helping with puppy training. TJ has done a wonderful job helping me train a service dog for my special needs daughter. He truly cares about his clients!

Tj has been my life saver. He has helped me through the entire process of finding a service dog prospect, to training him with me, and today, my service dog has graduated! I have had the pleasure of working closely with Karen and TJ over the past year. I hired Companion Training to shape my Black Lab into a licensed service dog. I was in an accident 6 years ago that left me with the diagnosis of a walking quadriplegic. I was in need of a dog to assist me in getting up from the couch, using the stairs, and overall balance when walking. Companion Training was able to not only meet my needs but to exceed them. I attended the two group puppy courses at the facility beginning when my puppy was 9 weeks old and it was a terrific start to his training. After my high energy dog passed his first birthday I realized that there were some unwanted behaviors that needed to be addressed. I met with TJ for 5 private sessions in the park and the change in my dog is truly remarkable.

He was very available for follow up questions via phone between lessons. I think he has a solution for every conceivable dog behavior issue. I will continue to work with TJ in the future for some fine tuning when needed or to address any new issues.

Working with Companion Training was a total blessing in my life. I needed a Diabetic Alert Dog and fortunately my doctor recommended Companion Training to me. They helped me train my dog Gigi to become my Diabetic Alert Dog. I would highly recommend them. They were always professional and helped me every step of the way. Training Gigi has made a huge difference in my life!
