This was the first time boarding my cats here. Check in and out was smooth. It was clean and my cats came home none the worst for wear from the experience. They don't like to be away from home so they are rather clingy when they get back but no more than usual. I was allowed to see the area used for boarding the cats and while it wasn't home it was functional and separated from the other animals.

FonJon have taken incredible care of our two elderly dogs on a number of occasions. It is much easier to enjoy a vacation when you know your dogs are in a kind and loving environment. Highly recommend

Super friendly staff who you can tell loves dogs! Times are busy and they even mentioned that and apologized for missing our phone calls but were happy to help us when they called us back. Our dog absolutely loves this place and the staff! With any facility or dog park, health is not 100% guaranteed and they let us know immediately when our dog got a scrape from playing too hard in daycare. But dogs are dogs and it happens. We really appreciated their open communication and trust them with our baby, definitely recommend them!

Anthony was amazing at getting my 71 lb corso / pit bull (Big Paw Paw) in last minute boarding on a busy Thanksgiving weekend as a referral from a long time client Maxine. I read some referrals here about breed discrimination and I did not experience that at all. My dog is not neutered so we did opt for the one on one boarding option for the safety of other dogs so nobody ended up pregnant in the yard. Seems like a fair option to me.

He was housed in his own yard and had play time in the yard one on one with a handler. They require all vaccines to make sure your dog is safe. When I left my dog there overnight I specifically asked what the communication is like because I've never had to board my dog before. As a dog parent I'm sure we all know pets are family and this can make us a little anxious.

They assured me no news is good news. As nervous as that made me I trusted their ten years of experience and appreciated they communicated that to me in advance. He was returned to me the next day happy healthy and seemed to have a lot of fun. The staff seems to have a log of experience in the industry with training, pet care, animal behavior and obedience.

I was very pleased with my stay. He will be coming back for doggy day care one on one. Please have elastic expectations while leaving your dog here. They are spending time looking after the dogs giving them individualized time and don't have time to do that if they are constantly having to call back frantic parents who want updates every 5 minutes. Trust the process. Your pet is in good hands. Side note first time customers check in on yelp for a free day of doggy day care.

I would never send my dog to this place. Just from the first couple conversations I have had. I called three Times asking for someone to call me back. When I finally got to speak to a receptionist I told her that I had vision problems and could not fill out the form. She told me she didn't have time and would call me back. I did not get a call back even though they said they did.

When I spoke to the man who was in charge he gave me a very hard time telling me that my dog would have to get a special test to see if he could be there. Meanwhile my dog is a trained service dog with all the proper papers. The man became very angry when I asked to talk to the owner. He said he had no contact and no cell phone for the owner and he would not give the owner my number so that he could call me back.

If he has no way to reach the owner how can this place be responsible without any kind of communication with the person who owns this place. He told me the owner would have no interest in doing dog training with my dog. He became very irate and finally said that he didn't think there would be room for me and my dog. His attitude was horrible as it was the woman who I spoke to in the first place.

First impressions mean a lot. There are so many other places that are so nice in this area. There is so much competition that they should be nice to people to call. Never ever use this place for your animal.

I had my first dog training session at Fon Jon Pet Care today and it was excellent! The training from Jared, was spot on with his observations of my dog and how I handled my dog. He gave me concise tips and literally "homework" for me to work with my dog at home. I will update this post if the training gets bad but so far it's good.

We boarded our 7 year old dog here for a week while on vacation. I paid the extra money for him to have all day play so he's not in his kennel all day. I emailed twice through the week to check in on him and both times they told me he's great! We also paid for him to be groomed before we picked him up. So when my husband goes to pick him up he notices open wounds that are actually bleeding, on both his elbows, scabs on the back of his legs and he has an eye infection.

No one said anything to us about any of it! My husband asks what happened and they told us they didn't even notice. I call the manager and she said she "investigated" it and no one knows anything. She said she thinks he was just being lazy and laying around. I know my dog, that's not like him. He's not a lazy dog and he wouldn't just lay down that long until he was wounded. All they did was "credit" my account. Why would I ever take my dog back?!?

I will never take my dog back here. He has open wounds on both of his front legs and has a bunch of green gunk in his eye that appears to be infected. We paid for the grooming session where they like to do "a once over" and they missed this. I had to bring it up when I picked him up and they didn't even know or inform me of the issues that were clear as day to anyone paying attention.

So not only did I have to Pay $400 dollars for the boarding, but now I get to take him to the vet in the morning to make sure he is ok. My happy excited dog that I dropped off a week ago is not my happy excited dog that I picked up today.

The biggest thing that stands out to me about Fon Jon is it's always the same employees when I'm there dropping off and picking up my dogs. Dog daycare tends to be a high employee turnover kind of business, since the employees are on their feet all day and spend a lot of time cleaning and picking up poop. When I see the same people all the time, it tells me that they treat their employees well, and it also gives me confidence that these people actually know my dogs, their body language and how to handle them.

I have two dogs - one does not like daycare, and the other LOVES it. Fon Jon's a perfect fit, since they do both social and individual boarding, and I'm able to bring my lunatic golden in for daycare during the week to burn some energy. I am sure she is a whole lot to handle in a room full of other dogs, but they're very gracious about her nonetheless : I would definitely recommend Fon Jon for crazy social dogs, those who like to be left alone, and any in between.

Staff was great and friendly. Both dogs were here for a 2 day doggy daycare. Drop off and pick up was fast and easy. No temperament test like a lot of other places which was great for us bc we were just there for a couple of days. Some place want u there a day before, do a 2-4hr temperament test, answer this 6 page questionnaire, etc.

So all of the sudden our healthy, fit 10 year old dogs who take long walks or hike with us daily and have zero health problems are NO LONGER welcome at Fon Jons! They will not board dogs over 9 years old! This is an absurd policy. Instead, they should use waivers and make it the owners responsibility if something were to go wrong. But to assume every nine-year-old dog is elderly and decrepit is shameful. There is no reason to start leaving your dog here, because you will have to move them somewhere else later, like we had to.

Great place to take your fur babies. I just wish they had one in Wildomar. They were so great with our two dogs. I highly recommend them.

Great place for boarding, various services are provided for all your pets needs

My dog Buddy has anxious tendencies and tends to walk me while on leash rather than the other way around. I came to Fon Jon after a friend recommended their training services and spoke with Laurie who educated me on the various packages they had to offer based on my needs. I purchased a 4 pack of one on one sessions with trainer Alayna and she has worked wonders. Buddy seems like a completely different dog!

My once anxious pup who feared interaction with other dogs has become exceptionally confident at the dog park and on walks. Gone are the days when any movement or sound outside would send him into a frenzy of uncontrollable barking. He has simply become the best boy on walks as he looks to me for guidance and couldn't be more obedient. The best part has been the growth of our relationship and the abundance of respect he seems to have for me. I couldn't be happier with Fon Jon and more appreciative of Alayna!

I have taken two of my dogs to Fon Jon. Things have changed over the years, especially during COVID, but what hasn't changed is that my current dog and my previous dog LOVE(D) going. The price is competitive compared to other daycares in the area, and the staff is amazing. Every time I take my Great Pyrenees mix she can't contain her excitement and when I pick her up, she sleeps the rest of the day.

I have gone from working full time to being a full time law student and Fon Jon has been a life saver in both instances. They take wonderful care of my baby. Fon Jon has large yards for the pups to play in all day. They put up tents for shade and have plenty of water. They also offer individual or small group playtime if your dog is not great in groups.

I've also taken my pup there for some training and enjoyed the experience. The only issue I had was with my current pup when I boarded her, but she is very sensitive and anxious so I discovered kennel boarding is not for her because of her anxiety. I boarded my previous pup there with no issues. I also can't stress how amazing the bath specials are.

It is hard to find a good price for a full bath including ears and nail trim for a big dog like mine! I love whatever soap they use, she comes back smelling great for days! I highly recommend this business.

The best place in San Diego for pets! My dogs both do group play and absolutely love it! They have the best set up for boarding and the dogs don't just sit in a crate all day since they have access to a huge patio and get to play with the other dogs all day long! My cats were more shy for sure and as cats usually don't adjust as well as dogs, it's expected they weren't happy we were leaving them haha but they still were taken great care of and got loved on!

I found FonJon through a USBP canine handler. He recommended FonJon. My GSD is anxious, not good with other dogs, and former working dog. They have boarded her several times. She comes home happy and smelling good every time. I do pay extra for her bath and they'll clip nails too. The boarding price is fair. I would recommend FonJon for boarding.

We have a highly active 18 month old cocker spaniel, who we adore but know that he needs an outlet! Fon Jon came highly recommended by a few friends, as a place that they take their pups for socialization, activity and boarding. It was the best decision that we have made for our dog, Lou. Just as the other reviews mention, Lou jumps out of the car with his tail swinging and cannot get to the gate fast enough to see his friends at FJ (both the staff and the furry pawpals!) He comes home exhausted and happy after a day romping around.

We also travel a lot and feel so safe boarding Lou, knowing that he plays with his friends all day. It's vacation for him, as well! They take such great care of the dogs (and cats!) and are very aware of all the needs & special notes. The add ons are great, as well: bath & grooming, pups come home shiny and smelling great. In December, at our request, Fon Jon hosted a birthday party for Lou and his five bestest daycare friends.

It was a better party then his paw-rents could throw him, with the same amount of love and peanut butter. Thanks Fon Jon, we couldn't have gotten through his first year without you. and cheers to many more!

I would give 1000 stars if I could! This place is amazing! The people here are so knowledgeable and caring! My 3.5 month old golden retriever puppy went here for board and training. I missed her tons but it is so great to have an obedient dog that the whole family can enjoy. It is amazing to see all that she learned! You would not believe what they can teach a puppy! It's seriously astonishing! I cannot thank them enough! I would recommend them to everyone! Their training is worth every penny! All the staff is wonderful!

We always board our dogs at fon jon and they are so good with our little monsters! Our Belgians are working on being around new people and new dogs and every time they are so happy to see the fon jon staff. As a dog momma it makes me at ease when I go out of town. Plus the photos they send me are so cute!

Staff are welcoming, and absolutely wonderful with your fur babies. Great customer service and rates are reasonable too. They sincerely make my dog feel so welcome, he can't wait to go. He loves the day care and the boarding.

We love Fon Jon! Our dog always comes home happy and exercised. We also like that they sometimes post photos and videos of the dogs on their Instagram story. I just wish they did it every day!

I'm working with Alex and he's great at helping you understand the process of training your dog. We all understand that dog training is for both the dog and the owner. I've had 6 prior dogs and I'm convinced that we'll have our best trained dog as a result of this effort with Alex. If you're too timid to become 'the Alpha' then make sure you get a little 'lap dog'.

If you're going to have a dog over 40# then you're much better off becoming the alpha. It's invaluable to have him assess how you're doing, what to focus on and how to 'correct' the behavior. It's not terribly comfortable using the techniques for both the owner and pet - but it works. We've finished our 3rd (of 4 planned) lessons and everyone are amazed at the improvements. Our dog looks forward to learning, wants to succeed and needs the consistent guidance available with this sort of training. Thanks Alex!

Around April with dog parks and beaches closed, my perfectly well behaved 16 month old pitbull rescue mix became leash nervous ( pulling like if there was no tomorrow), ball possessive and snappy with dogs approaching her. Around the End of May, fearing she will become increasingly aggressive, I called different dog training places. from all the places I called, Laurie from FonJon was the only one who picked up the phone and explained up front services; as well as returning my call within 15 minus setting up out class with Alex the trainer. Alex the trainer is AMAZING, he connected right away with my dog Stella, listen to my concerns and there were no questions he could not answer. Alex is extremely knowledgable about dogs ways and behaviors.

As Alex noted a lot of Stella's behaviors had to do with me and how I dealt with them, he guided me to relax and understand dogs prospectives. Alex is patient, enthusiastic and truly passionate as well as dedicated about his works with dogs and even brought is TA ( training assistant) Begian Malanois Freia to help Stella. Stella is doing so much better after four individual classes and I gained more confidence.

Even though our sessions ended, we will purchase another set to continue strengthen what we learned. FonJon is great and affordable, Thank you so much for doing what you do; and thank you Alex for understanding Stella and working so hard with her!

This may be a great place for dogs, but my cats did not come back the same. We boarded them for 5 days, one of my cats was in the exact same spot we had left him in. Not sure if they actually take them out to the 'play area' like they said or not, but I do know that one cat is now very skittish when he was the most outgoing. Will never bring my cats here again.

I LOVE FON JON! I was a first time dog mom, and I was super-nervous to put her in daycare all day, but they answered all my emails/phone calls throughout my dog's first day. They even posted her on their Instagram story, so I could check in and see how she was doing all day. The staff is so kind, and I can tell how much my dog loves them - her tail starts wagging, and she basically jumps into their arms when I drop her off.

They also do super cute activities on the holidays (Christmas, they made my dog's paw ornament, and Valentine's Day, they made valentine's from her puppy boyfriend!), which is under-rated soooo cute and appreciated. I would recommend Fon Jon for everyone - a great way to get your active pup's energy out! Really just such a wonderful place! Also, I have left my dog here for a few nights when I was on vacation, and she came back happy and smelling great from her bath! I'm such a huge fan. I couldn't possibly leave my dog in better hands.

We LOVE Fon Jon! We live 25 minutes away from it but we don't mind the drive, knowing that Juna is in GREAT hands. We've taken her at least 15 times for daycare and she did a long 7 night stay once when we went out of town. We loved seeing photos of her on their Instagram page. Everytime we pick her up, she is mad at us and always tries to go back inside.

On our first visit they gave us a complete your and showed us the difference in the overnight kennel options. Everyone in the office is wonderful and Rachal is an absolute rock-star. Thank you Fon Jon staff for caring for all of our 4 legged friends! You are passionate about what you do and it shows.

The dog training here is second to none. I can't speak for the kennels or any other services but the staff is friendly and if you put the time in with your dog you will see HUGE results. Another bonus is their training is very reasonably priced.
