Holy Fluff! Love this place, I feel it's a little pricy but Drea ALWAYS does a great job! We have a golden schnoodle and we asked her to accentuate the schnauzer in him a little bit and boy did she! He had the perfect beard and the eyebrows too.maybe a little too evil on the brows because he's such a little love bug, but we asked for a cleanup and it was taken care of in seconds!

Parking isn't usually an issue there is 5 minute parking right outside and I've never had too big of an issue or had to wait more than a minute or two for a spot to open up. Our guy is about 70 pounds and it generally costs about $120 after tip and everything. But what can I say, he's our fur baby and he looks great! So totally worth it!

I've brought my pomeranian here twice and been very happy with the results! I asked for a short haircut this time due to the heat and she looks very cute. Very good service for a reasonable price. For reference- I paid $90 + tip for her bath, haircut, nail trim and deshedding service

While visiting town, our dogs had such a blast at the beach. We needed them cleaned before we left. It was easy to make the appointment for the self-service wash. Once we got there, you get to choose the kind of shampoo, conditioner, etc; and they spend time explaining all the things there by the bath and where you dry them. It was so easy to wash them and dry them.

And the dogs left squeaky clean and smelling nice. I can imagine this place being an amazing place for grooming as well seeing how the staff interact with the dogs so professionally and with such patience! Only downside is parking can be finicky but anywhere downtown can be like that.

I took my 1 year old for a nail trimming. He had some experience with his nailed being cut with a dremel tool but he's always been a bit anxious. The staff were so helpful - I called ahead and they reminded me to bring his vax records and we were able to walk in. When we arrived they were so welcoming and good with Chance. They ended up using a clipper but assured us he did great and over time will work with him to feel comfortable. Really clean inside with great staff. Awesome pet supply downtown, I will definitely return!

Allison is the best! Louie always looks like a 10/10 walking out of there. I don't trust my dog with anyone else

Allyson has been grooming my dog ever since she was 3 months old. I contacted Ally and let her know it was important for my puppy to have a positive grooming experience. I wanted my puppy not to be scared of going to the groomer. Penny loves her! She is always happy with her tail wagging every time we go see her. I was also really surprised at how well behaved she is at home for me when i groom her myself. Ally did an amazing job acclimating my pup to grooming and Penny always smells and looks so fresh. Always timely and service with a smile. I go to get my dogs nails trimmed and filed and they do it the best in the city. Love City Dog!

They did a great job on my puppy's first nail trim. She has long quicks and they trimmed right to them without nipping her. That should help the quicks recede a bit for the next trim. We will definitely go back.

Love City Dog! I have been taking my dog there for years. Every groomer that has taken card of my 100lb GSD has been amazing. And very reasonable pricing. I won't take my dog anywhere else.

The team was very friendly and knowledgeable about, the dog and there products. I will bring Shay Shay back for her grooming. And the price wasn't to bad.

This was my first time bringing my dog to city dog to get groomed. A friend had recommended I come here I typically go to Petsmart but the last 2 times I took him there I didn't like the cut. So I dropped him off today the groomer was very reassuring when I explained how I wanted the cut. She called me 15 mins before he was ready to give me a heads since I was at work.

The grooming only took 2.5 hours. When I got there he looked awesome! When I brought him back to the office with me everyone was complimenting him on how cute and soft he looked. I 10/10 recommend this local business!

This is a long over due post of appreciation! We started bringing our chocolates (4 y/o male & 1 y/r old Female labs) to City Dog a few months ago. We've had 3 or 4 washes by now and we are NEVER disappointed! Our pups look A-Mazing and are so happy after being there! I'd have to leave them for HOURS @ Petco, then have to bring the big boy back because they never cut his nails enough! Here, they're done in an hour-Both of them and they look completely awesome! They take such great care of our pups! Thank you friends @ City Dog! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Ally & City Dog are THE place to go if you are looking for a groomer in San Diego! Located right by Petco park (& 100% worth the drive even if you don't live downtown), the store/salon is a one-stop shop for everything you need - grooming/baths, treats/ food, apparel/accessories, etc. Ally always listens to what you want, provides helpful tips on maintenance between grooming, & while she is amazing with ANY type of dog - she is definitely a doodle aficionado!

Our pup absolutely loves going to see her & gets so excited every time we walk through the door; we always have to drag him out of there when he's done! People are always stopping & asking me where he gets his hair cut, & the fact that this place is puppy + puppy parent approved is an easy 5 stars for me!

They take great care of my dog. She comes home ultra clean, smelling great and fresh teeth. This place always delivers friendly staff and happy dogs!

So glad we found this place on google. Their price was reasonable and their service was exceptional. Greeting was okay, I hope they were more friendlier when we first arrived. The grooming part was outstanding. Our dog smells amazing, super fluffy and soft. We Will definitely come here again. Thank you! Also, this place has many varieties for treat, but we didn't get to purchase any since there was not a parking space when we got there. So we had to rush out after paying for grooming.

I recently called to see if they had a certain brand of dog food. The gentleman that answered assured me they did and checked to see that they had all 3 sizes in stock. I went down to city dog and was met with their friendly staff. I ended up finding other things that are hard to find as well, and bought something for my cat as well. I highly recommend city dog, As they are knowledgeable and carry hard to find items

They do a great job, friendly staff and lots of treats and stuff for pups. The wash is done out in the open so I feel good about leaving and not being worried. I bring my boy there once a month and he comes home soft and happy. Be sure you tip your groomer guys!

I've taken my beagle mix, Dodger here on my last couple trips to San Diego and have been very happy with the service. The first time, I just wanted to see about getting a nail trim while in town, but when I saw their very reasonable prices for the full bath service, we decided to treat him to the whole shabang, which includes a bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, anal gland expression, and more.

It cost a little over $30, so well worth it and a much better deal than what is available in my neighborhood. The location is convenient within a stone throw away from the Gaslamp district. Making appointments have been super easy, and I had no problem making a same day or couple day in advance appointment. They just asked for me to email his proof of vaccination which was no problem. They also have a nice little store that sells everything your pet can need! We'll be back next time we're in town! Thanks City Dog.

Amazing staff. They did a great job and my dog looked amazing after his grooming. He hates getting his nails trimmed and they managed to get most of them done anyways. Not an easy task with a 120lb dog.

City Dog was amazing! Took my little Ember there to get her legs dyed pink and Andrea went above and beyond my expectations! They told me Andrea was really good with pink dye and they were SO RIGHT. Ember hates her paws being touched and Andrea was so patient with her. Thank you.
