Downtown Hound

We love Downtown Hound! They have taken great care of our Westie. He's 9 years old, but he's gone off and on for boarding since he was a puppy. I really appreciate that we can see him interacting with the other dogs on the webcam, and the nightly pictures the staff sends at cuddle time warm my heart.

I am a nervous dog owner when it comes to boarding. My (very) old dog can be a bit of a handful and I worry about exertion, whereas my puppy is a rowdy little tank. Downtown Hound has been great for each of them and treated them with affection and care. I will never love boarding my dogs but Mandi and her team have earned my trust and appreciation. I definitely recommend Downtown Hound for your precious little partner.

We love Downtown Hound! I would give it ten stars if I could. I have been taking my dogs there for daycare and overnight stays for the last six years. My yellow lab loves it there. We love Downtown Hound! Our husky mix has lots of fun during his doggy daycare and always comes home happy and tired. It's been great to provide him more socialization, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

My experiences with Downtown Hound have been overwhelmingly positive. I started utilizing their services frequently while living in an apartment since I didn't have the opportunity to crate train my pup, and I didn't want to upset my neighbors by leaving behind a howling dog while I was at work. I have since moved into a house (so crate training is no longer an issue), but I still like to bring my pup to Downtown Hound for an occasional play date, comb out, bath, or nail trim. I don't recommend leaving your dog with them. We were taking our pup to daycare for 5 to 6 months at least once a week. An hour after dropping him off, they sent me a text to come and get him. I had to leave work and miss an important meeting. We called, left voicemail and asked for an explanation, they never returned the call. After calling for weeks, we reached the owner, Mandy.

She said they overbooked dogs and had too much energy. Now, we've ALWAYS made reservations so why is that my issue and then we had to find boarding somewhere else at the last minute due to their lack of management. Never leaving my dogs with these people again!

I absolutely love Downtown Hound! My puppy, Nash, is absolutely exhausted by the end of the day and is so excited to get out of the car when we get to doggy daycare. They treat him like family and I'm so happy to know that my dog is in good hands while I'm at work.

We've taken advantage of many of the great services offered by Downtown Hound, and they've never disappointed us! After we adopted a rambunctious eight-week-old puppy and needed some help with socializing him during the pandemic, we found DH's puppy socialization class. It was amazing! Our pup got to play with other pups in a safe environment, and we got expert advice on how to troubleshoot common puppy behavior issues.

Our pup, who is now over a year old, has attended the DH daycare many times, and he absolutely LOVES it. The environment is well managed by handlers who are very competent and kind. Our dog gets play time and socialization, and we get a happy, tired pup at the end of the day. We've also used their boarding services, which are excellent. They have great add-ons like cuddle time and peanut butter Kongs to spoil your fur baby, too. Having a trustworthy, quality place to take our dog is important to us, and if you're like us, then we highly recommend Downtown Hound.

My Westie has been going here since he was about 8 months old, usually just a half day once a week to play with the other dogs and wear himself out. He has learned good social skills here and has become a confident little guy. This is his happy place!

We have brought our golden retriever Rosie to Downtown Hound since she was like 6 months old and she is now 3. We love bringing Rosie there! She spends the day hanging out with her dog friends and comes home a tired pup. We love Mandie and the crew at Downtown Hound!

Downtown Hound is the best! We drop our dog there 2-3 times a week and he always comes back happy and tired. I love the webcams so I can check in and watch puppies when I need a break from work. They have even done bath time for our dog before pickup and he always looks better than if I get a special groomer. They are super responsive to requests and genuinely care about the dogs. Baloo hasn't picked up any bad habits (is jumping on people or playing too rough) because they are vigilant and wonderful at stopping bad behaviors. Highly recommend!

My pup absolutely loved spending time at Downtown Hound. He was super excited to get out of the car this morning and go play with his new friends. I was also super happy that I was able to check on him with the live cams. He was absolutely exhausted when he got home. Great staff and overall, a great place. Downtown Hound is the absolute BEST! My pup, Phin, loves coming here and we come here a lot! Mandie and her staff are very professional and they greet Phin like he is their own dog. Love, love, love this place!

Lacking in communication between the owners and staff. But I appreciate the owner handling business very professionally and I will always give a second chance when it is appropriate.

I could not be more pleased with the services of Downtown Hound. My mini Australian Shepherd attends doggie day care twice a week. Playing with other dogs gets her restlessness out and that is a great thing for me and her. The trainers and other staff are very attentive. They want the best experience for my dog, Aura. When it is the day we go we get up early and she knows she is going to play with doggies.

She can hardly keep still in anticipation. Soon she will have an overnight boarding experience. I could not more highly recommend this business. The owner Mandie and her staff work hard to make a positive experience for each dog who comes to day care or boarding. I'm so glad I found them. Absolute best place to bring your dog. Tucker, my pup, has been coming here since he was allowed to and could now have a better experience. Mandy and the other staff are so knowledgeable and so kind to the pups!

Our family LOVES downtown hound. The staff is very friendly, the business is clean, they have a lot of fun amenities (like the pool!), and most importantly they understand dogs. Other less doggie friendly places (like certain doggie "camps") focus more on high numbers than creating a good atmosphere. I love that dth doesn't split up our large and small pups, it helps keep them a little less anxious. My only wish would be for extended daycare hours!

Our black lab, Lucy Jane, loves Downtown Hound. She is there a few times a month. A highlight was the Valentine's Day party (2015) with 40 other dogs. She came home completely happy, exhausted, and with 40 V-day treat bags. How cute is that?!

My labradoodle loves to play (er, stay) at the Downtown Hound when I have to be away for a few days. I like that he comes home bathed, better socialized, and tuckered out. The webcam (in the big dog room only for now) allows me to sneak a peek at him from afar.
