Countryside Pet Resort

Called to book a boarding for my pup. She asked what the breed was. Being honest, she's got a few breed, Staffordshire terrier being one of them. "We don't accept pit bulls." What a flipping joke. People like this are part of the problem when it comes to pit bulls. There are a TON of mixed breeds that have "pit bull" in them. You're choosing to turn away a lot of good dogs for this ridiculous stereotype. ALL dogs are capable of what pit bulls are so often blamed for. It's the human not the dog. You are a great example. Happy to avoid this place.

My family and I are eternally grateful to Mrs. Anne and her amazing staff at Countryside Pet Resort. After last weeks tornados in Round Rock, we were left with no home and our fur(less) babies in desperate need for a place to stay while we prepared for what is sure to be a long journey ahead. Thank you for keeping them safe and giving is a chance to get organized.

I would like to give a huge shout out to the Team at Countryside! Last week when the tornado hit in Round Rock and my sister was left without a home and in need of a place to keep her 4 dogs. Ms. Anne was amazing at being ready on such short notice and welcomed my sister's dogs in as if they were her own. They have been wonderful in the care and attention they've given those poor pups. Thank you Anne Barlow and team! We are eternally grateful!

We let them take care of our older dogs (11 and 9). They sent a text every day with pictures. There was some wicked weather and they assured me the dogs were safe. Great place, would not hesitate to let them care for our dogs again.

They took great care of my Wallace during the Winter holiday. He was excited to see me when I returned to pick him up, but obviously was so comfortable around the handlers. Thank you for keeping Wallace warm & dry during Austin's cold frosty last week of 2021.

Our dogs are always well taken care of here, so glad we found Countryside! I really enjoy the homey feel and prefer it over something that feels commercialized.

I boarded my pup at Countryside for a week and had nothing but positive experiences with Anne and her staff! The place doesn't look super nice from the outside and the lobby is pretty messy (kinda looks like they're doing some renovations), but my dog had a great time! He got individual playtime everyday, had access to the outdoor patio area of his kennel the whole time, and came home super tired and happy!

The prices were the best I could find for the central Texas area and I like that the place is smaller so I know my dog was genuinely cared for unlike at some large kennels where they keep 100's of dogs at once. I highly recommend Countryside if you want an affordable place to board your dog!

**UPDATE: See classless response from management below. (She edited her initial response where she called me immature, to sound a little less combative.) Just a little insight to the conversation I had with her and how she spoke to me over the phone. I called Ponderosa Pet Resort right after and they had the same hours/policy. They were actually more expensive than this option, but because of the amazing customer service and attention to my questions, we will be using them for Christmas.

I highly recommend giving them a call.** Horrible customer service. The lady seemed put out by giving me any information about my dogs staying or pricing, not friendly at all. I needed to pick my dog up on Saturday and she informed me they close at noon on Saturday and I would have to pick up on Sunday. No problem I can do that! Them informed me actually they don't open to the public until 4pm on Sunday so you will have to pay a full day of care on Sunday because of their hours.

So if you are having your dog stay Saturday, expect them to stay Sunday as well because there is no way to get them out. I told her I would need to call back, other borders don't charge extra because they open late, they only charge if you can't make the early morning times. She was super rude and tried to justify the policy. If she would have been some what nice, I would have possibly had my dogs stay there anyway due to the great reviews and reasonable pricing I saw. I really wanted to go to this place, but I have a very poor first impression. Going to keep calling around to otter places.

Absolutely love Countryside Pet Resort. They have taken care of my German Shepherd several times for 2 - 5 nights at a time. Bottom line I trust the staff, and my dog has excellent care from the staff.

I have 2 Jack Russell terriers and both of them did very well here. The large play yards and indoor/ outdoor runs are perfect for making sure they have plenty space to keep them happy. Would highly recommend this kennel. The facility is clean and very well designed. 11/10
