For the past two decades I have worked with dogs professionally. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Duke University, and I began my dog training career in Los Angeles by doing an intensive year-long apprenticeship with well-respected dog trainer, Julie Sterling Burditt. I then earned a Counseling Certificate with honors from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers run by world-renowned trainer/behaviorist, Jean Donaldson. I have passed the accreditation exam by the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers.
Services
Working together with you and your dog in your home/neighborhood setting, and in real world places of our choosing, we will establish goals and an individual plan to ensure the success of your training partnership. We will work on basic cues/obedience behaviors and mores complex skills if desired. I can help you with puppy specific training and/or more complex behavior modifications.

We've been using Jim La Clair and his team for doggie bootcamp for our Pug, Ellie, for the past 2 years. Ellie attends 2x/week and loves every minute. She actually squeals with delight as we approach her drop off site. Jim and his team regularly send videos of the various dogs at play during the day. We're delighted we were introduced to Jim by our Vet, Dr Smith of Bay Road Animal Hospital.

Jim La Clair. is the BEST. just ask the dogs he trains.my Bonny adores him, my son's dog Lily adores him.in fact, every dog Jim works with adores him. Jim is a gift from the heavens for our dogs and he is the most patient trainer I have ever worked with. I am fortunate to have found him. and my dog Bonny agrees!
