I will definitely be coming back with my dog Reign. The groomers were all so sweet and helpful. They accommodated to my dog which took a huge stress off my shoulders. My dog is not the easiest and can be quite wiggly so I appreciated their kindness and patience. The location is also ideal right off Richmond Hwy. I can't wait to continue bringing my pup to this location, as I really feel like I've found a location where I fully trust the groomers. 10/10!

They did a great job. When we arrived they asked lots of questions to ensure they were doing what we needed. I have a doodle breed so it can be difficult for groomers, but they did great. We will be returning

I took my little boy today for the whole grooming process. We are new to the area and I was a bit nervous to leave him. Upon walking in? It was clean and well maintained. After I handled the proper paperwork (shot records etc) the groomer came out and sat down to get to know my little guy. He is always a little standoff-ish with new people. Never aggressive just nervous.

But she was calm and sweet. I told her that he HATES HATES HATES his nails clipped and I had given him some puppy CBD before coming in. She assured me that they would take him back for his nails promptly so it didn't wear off. Anyway. I came back a couple hours later (they call you when your doggo is done) and he was in wonderful happy shape. The price was very em reasonable and I highly recommend them! We will be coming back!

They do a great cut on my labradoodles, one of which has a challenging tail and beard to get right, but they always do. The check in and out process is an absolute breeze (unlike the other big box pet store up the street, which is a nightmare). One of my dogs has some anxiety but he always seems happy when I pick him up. Last, the online booking process is smooth. Highly recommend Pretty Pets!

We have a 140-pound beast of a dog whose double coat can be a LOT of work to maintain. Shelly does an amazing job at regular bath/brush/blow-dries as well as with his scissor cutting to keep him in a manageable puppy clip. She's never overwhelmed by the size of our job and treats our boy like he's her own. Very flexible and so easy to work with. HIGHLY recommend for a quality grooming job!

Finally found my groomer since my move to Alexandria. I do have to make an appointment about two weeks out for all 3 of my dogs. This place is just around the corner from me and so that's a plus. Picked up my dogs and they looked great and were happy to be there. The staff was super nice and will definitely be here frequently for grooming visits.

We are new to the area and I found Pretty Pets online. We previously had Shadow groomed at a big chain store (you know the type) and the cut was marginal at best for the same price. Oh, and he was extra long due to COVID so I'm sure more work than usual. Thank you for giving Shadow a nice summer cut, we'll be back!

This is the second time we've been to Pretty Pets and I'm extremely happy about it! I first brought Nacho when he was a puppy and we were in town. I remember it was such a great experience and he seemed comfortable with whoever was handling him. It's been seven months since then and we went back today and I'm so glad about it! The customer service is awesome!

Extremely kind and you can tell they all have a passion for what they do. At first Nacho was a little afraid to go back with them, which he usually is, but didn't seem too upset about it later. When he was brought out to me, he was happy and didn't seem scared like when I took him to PetSmart. I was told he was a really good boy and I really appreciated that she took the time to report to me how it went.

I love the bandanas, and I really appreciate that they listened to what I wanted for him. The price is good, the customer service is amazing, definitely worth it! We will be coming back without a doubt!

So I came across this business on Groupon when I was looking for a groomer for my miniature poodle. I've gone to a couple places before and they can never cut Thomas's hair the way I'd like. THAT HAS ALL CHANGED! The staff here was just amazing! Customer service was great. It's a small business but that's one of the reasons I stopped by.

I like how you're able to have that one on one communication which made me feel very comfortable. I called and was able to get an appointment the very next day! The staff is very welcoming and they're so polite. I was able to drop my guy off, run a few errands and had time to relax. His haircut is soooooooooo nice I love it and he looks so cute! I will definitely be returning! Thank you for making my baby look his best!

I take my golden retriever mix here for a grooming every few months and each time he looks amazing when I pick him up. They do a fantastic job trimming his coat and he is always super soft and smells wonderful. You can tell they really know what they are doing and love animals. Pricing is competitive and worth every penny.

My dog struggles with being uncomfortable and sometimes aggressive with strangers. I don't know how they manage to deal with him but I truly appreciate their service and patience with him. At the beginning we were paying extra due do his behavior but overtime he's gotten comfortable with the staff and the price was reduced once he started to behave better.

I also absolutely adore when holidays come because that's when they give each pet a little bandana and it's just so cute! I have been to the pet smart groomers (bad decision-don't even think about it) and the service and hospitality is nothing compared to them.

Thank you Pretty Pets for making my Maya girl pretty. She looks great and the ladies at the desk were friendly, professional and helpful. I am picky when it comes to getting her groomed- and would gladly bring her back.

Caveat Emptor - We used this business before the current owner took, we gave them a 5 star review. We have sent five different dogs, even rescued dogs that we fostered before they went to their forever homes. In fact, we had such a good relationship with the previous owner, they wanted to use our dogs for a grooming competition. When the new current owner took over, during the first visit they hurt one of our dogs.

They did not mention it to us when we picked him up, it was noticed when we got home. We took pictures and took him to his Vet. Thankfully, everything turned out fine. We quit using them, until we got a Groupon. As a strong believer in using local businesses, we thought we would do our research and give them another try. The first visit went fine, hence a second visit.

When we went to pick him up, things went bad. Not wanting to get into the assorted details of what happened, we will not go back. This is what we all should expect at a minimum from a groomer or anyone we entrust our puppies to: 1) They will not hurt the dog and if an accident does happen, they report it to you when it happens. 2) They will cut the dogs hair according to the breeds standards, and if they are not able to do this, they will let you know in advance. 3) They will not be rude to you, their customers, and if it does happen they apologize. 4) They listen to you, their customers, and not yell at you when they report any of these issues.

Ace was happy when he got home and he didn't shake in the car ride. I know pretty pets took good care of him! They shaved him so the cut was good. I would have liked it if he didn't have to be crated but Ace gets a bit too friendly at times with other dogs so I understand.

Megan did such a great job! She didn't "poodle my doodle". Was really nice about explaining the different options and my dog came back looking just like the picture I showed her. I love that they leave the big dogs uncrated if they are well behaved. Already looking forward to going back!

Two days later and I'm still angry! Took my 2 Shishons in and specifically and repeatedly said I wanted them "TRIMMED" -- not shaved -- and emphasized repeatedly NOT TO CUT their 2" eye lashes. I arrived to two shaved dogs with no eyelashes and a lame apology as if that was good enough. If you care about your dogs and/or what you pay for go somewhere else

Quaint little shop off Richmond Highway. They were very nice and definitely knew how to handle all the dogs/pups. I wanted his hair to be a bit longer, as the breed is supposed to have, but he turned out like a nicely cut poodle. My puppy was very calm though and was not traumatized or anything like that. So if you're looking for a simple cut for your dog, this is definitely the place. I would definitely come back for a grooming session and a quick haircut.

I utilized Pretty Pets for a few years and the grooming was great for my 3 dogs. The prices are lower than other grooming facilities in the area. The last & final time I went there: My dog came home with a corneal abrasion. I took him directly to the vet and they confirmed that it was not from my dog scratching his face and somehow scratched his own eye.

The vet said the cut on his eye was too deep to be from his paw. The vet concluded that he believed that either the groomer's scissors or hair clippers fit my dogs eye. Initially Pretty Pets said they would pay my dog's vet bill, only to retract the statement after my vet sent them a fax the $400 bill. Now my dog is blind in that eye. I will never return and suggest that others be wary of their services.

I have finally found a groomer that can do standard poodles! I took in my girl to get groomed, and after showing pictures and explaining what i wanted, I was in awe at how perfect she looked when I picked her up. I can't remember the groomers name, but she is the "poodle queen" on NOVA, that's for sure! I will definitely be taking Prim back when i return from my deployment in six months! Wish I had found this spot a year ago!
