My dog enjoys his days here. He always comes home and crashes. You can tell they like it here when they run to go behind the counter with the other dogs.

I have health issues and had to cancel at the last minute. Anthony was such a light in a very dark day. This is the place to go for your pets and yourself.

I took my 13yr old puggle here for a bath and blowout (first time in a long time for her) and she came out all full of herself! She definitely had an extra pep in her step when we were walking out. I could tell she thoroughly enjoyed her mini spa day and attention she received while there. I'm glad we now live around the corner so I can take her more often. #treatyo'self

Absolutely love this place and staff. Everyone clearly loves animals and loves those that come in like their own. Have used for all services including boarding and Nugget is always excited when we get to Clark as she knows where we're going!

Another great grooming experience at Bark Place. Our Betty had started to resemble a drunken Goldie Hawn and she needed a makeover. The problem was we hate that short hair, fresh from the groomer look. We explained what we wanted and that is exactly the cut we got! Plus Betty loves to go there. I may have to stop going to The Handsome Bastard barber shop and see if Bark place will do my hair.

Our dogs love Bark Place for daycare and grooming! They're so friendly and accommodating, and I'm so glad we found them. Our dogs couldn't be happier!

This review is long overdue. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Our pup has been coming to Bark Place for almost 5 years now. I can write a whole long story about all the ways in which Anthony and his crew (special thanks to Ami, Dan and Caitlyn) at Bark Place have been absolutely incredible and helpful with our little girl's specific needs, and they have essentially been part of our extended family for the last 5 years.

I dread considering the idea of having to find a different daycare if we were to ever leave Chicago. Our pup loves coming here every week, and I can say without any doubt that your dog will be in good hands at Bark Place.

We have used for grooming! Cannot say enough about how good our pup looked 100%. She was super happy with her cut. They were flexible and I left with my next appointment. Likely to follow up on daycare and nodding but didn't need it at the moment

They had exactly what I needed to pick up to prepare for the arrival of my new dog. Easy parking and a friendly, helpful staff. It's always a pleasure to spend money locally and especially with a business so locally involved.

Took my toy poodle to this local spot for grooming. The receptionist who answered the phone was very friendly and professional when scheduling an appointment. There is no self parking for this place so you have to park in the street but not a big deal. The groomer who greeted was very cool and friendly. He was very good with my dog. The haircut didn't take too long and was very pleased of the service.

Particularly the nails being cut and shaved because other groomers I been to never do a good job but this place did awesome! Overall great experience and happy with the grooming. I highly recommend this place for sure!

The workers are literally the nicest people you will ever encounter. My dog can be very wild and jump on everything and they are so good with him. They calm him down better than we can. Fantastic store, fantastic prices, locally owned. If you have a dog or cat make sure to stop by here on every walk. You won't regret it. They have treats for dogs just stopping by! During covid they only allow one person and one animal in at a time, which makes this the only pet store I feel comfortable shopping at. Go here.

I have no words to say how amazing this place is. It's just amazing! Please take your dog here to get groomed. I am very picky when it comes to grooming (so picky I manage my dog myself because I'm just worried they would shave his coat) and I will say my mind is now at ease because I found the perfect groomer! I will say they do book out 2 weeks in advance so just be sure to know this prior. Made an appointment for my fluff monster because it was beyond time.

I was so worried he might have to be shaved bald because he did have a couple mats but the groomer assured me that he would not have to do that because my dogs coat was manageable. He also shared some tips on how I can brush my dog to avoid mats in the future which I was grateful for. Very kind, helpful, and my dog was crazy about him! Now when I picked my dog up, he looked better than I could imagine!

The groomer did his thang and then some! My dog looks like a million bucks, smells fantastic and I think he knows it.;) also the prices are very reasonable, 55 for a standard groom for a small dog. I will be back Bark Place! Thank you so much!

I am OBSESSED with this place! After my old groomer closed her business, I was in search for a new place for my kiddos. I am beyond satisfied with Bark Place! My dogs never looked better. Not only are they great but fast. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies!

This is a great place for dog care! The staff care about my dog Rooster. He is an older guy, blind and with other issues. They really take care of his needs. He also gets groomed there and they do a fantastic job. Thanks for taking such good care of him and all of the animals.

We are very pleased with our experiences so at Bark Place. Our elderly shepherd mix has long fur, a bad back leg, arthritis in his spine, and other health issues. They are super gentle with him. He never seems the least bit traumatized when he's done being groomed by the staff at Bark Place. They do a beautiful job, even when we tell them we don't care about the aesthetic, we just want him to feel clean and healthy. We highly recommend the caring staff at Bark Place.

First time my dog was groomed at Bark Place. I have a yorkie-poodle who desperately needed a haircut and nail trim. Saul the groomer did an amazing job! Haircut and nails are perfect! Also my dog seemed really calm when i picked him up. In the past at other places he would always be shaking after. So it seems like it was a good experience for my dog!

I highly recommend this place! Also the front desk was so helpful and polite. And the price is great! I've always paid usually $15 more at other places so I was so happy about that. It was just an an around great experience!

Will take my dog here more often for his dog wash! Thank you Anthony and the guy who washed and took care of my dog despite of him being so active and naughty. Never saw Macky this happy when i picked him up, I guess he saw his other dog pals!

Took our dog here for the first time and had a great experience! Usually after a groom our dog is anxious, shaking and doesn't eat well for a few days but this time he was the complete opposite. He was happy, calm and like his normal self. Not only that, Saul did an amazing job and he looks great! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Both Trevor and I are happy customers!

We adopted Winnie a few months ago and quickly learned that she LOVES other dogs but takes a bit of time to warm up to new people - we figured daycare would be a great option for her. Bark Place is SUPER convenient from our house, came highly reviewed by our friends in the area, and has hours that work PERFECTLY with our schedules - we had to give it a shot!

Also worth noting that their full-day daycare cost-per-day rate when you buy the 20 day package is LESS than what we were paying for daily 30 minute Wag! walkers! Winnie was nervous our first few times going, but after about a week, she now runs to the daycare gate and doesn't even look back at me! She comes home absolutely exhausted and just wanting to snuggle - and she's not an easy girl to tire out! Thanks, Bark Place!

We couldn't be happier' Updated to add: Winnie tends to be nervous around strangers on the street, especially men. Today on our walk to daycare, she saw her buddy Aiden sitting outside of Bark Place and started BOUNCING for joy. A true testament to how wonderful this place truly is.

The man who owns Bark Place is a hero who would stop at nothing to ensure the safety of an animal. He rescued a dog running injured on lake shore drive during rush hour saving its life. A place run by a man like that is a place I will always bring my pets.

I have been a customer of Bark Place for the past 8 years. in this time I have used probably every service here from doggy daycare, to nail trims and attended fun events such as pictures with santa and dog walk for a new dog park. In that time I have also moved and moved again and always somehow found my way back to the Bark Place and that is because I trust the owner and the employees. They have always been welcoming and understanding and treated my dog well.

Bark Place is a great place! Today I took my 9 month, 125lb St Bernard " puppy" for a first time haircut, I was nervous, so was he. The minute u walk in you are put at ease by the warm greeting from Eli, he is an asset to the business, super friendly, informative and great salesman for the other services they provide. The cut.is beautiful, my puppy, Mc Lovin looks so good, he smells good, the cut is even, no nicks, attention to detail is obvious. Couldn't be happier.

Every pup I encountered seemed happy to be there. It is clean, has lots of fun dog stuff for purchase, including food, it's a one stop shop for your fur baby. Mc Lovin is looking forward to his next visit, me too.

Always available to groom my dogs nails on the go. My dogs don't require grooming but anytime I need to have their nails trimmed Bark Place takes me on the spot. It's even better that I only live a block from them so I can stop by on a dog walk! Check them out. Great small business to support.

Watson is an anxious dog when outdoors--he jumps at strange (read: most) noises, hates busy intersections, and will tuck his tail between his legs at the sight of a stroller. After going to Bark Place for daycare for several months, however, he has become excited to walk there! He knows the route well and, instead of trembling or tugging at his leash, prances most of the way.

This is a BIG deal for us, and we couldn't be happier to see him happy. Bark Place's staff has always been more than accommodating and welcoming to both us and Watson. They know him well by now, and will update us on his favorite playmates when we come to pick him up. Having them nearby has been invaluable for us, and Watson absolutely LOVES being there.

He boarded with them over Thanksgiving weekend and had a blast. He's a tough pooch to tucker out, but when he gets home from Bark Place, he is all satisfied snoozes. All the employees seem to know every dog and his/her quirks--I would definitely recommend Bark Place to anyone seeking a friendly, trustworthy daycare venue for their pet.

We love it here. Very friendly and professional staff. My boy is always well cared for and absolutely loves going here. I feel safe leaving him there for daycare or boarding.

Surprised to see such great reviews from a newly expanded facility, but unfortunately that isn't the case when it comes to the situation I'm finding myself in last night. I had just arrived home after a weekend of relaxation, and just picked up our dog a little after 6; just to find that our dog was abused, physically. She had some torn skin off from her paw-pads along with a deep red color between all of her toes, which looked as though she was standing perhaps in some chemicals of some kind. Also, several teeth marks throughout her body, legs, tail, neck where blood was drawn.

Now I'm no professional when it comes to how to I run a facility like this, but if the dogs that are kept there aren't getting along, then they need to be separated. It's just that simple. Not to mention what actually goes on when the keepers aren't paying attention to the dogs. Are they free roaming and abusing one another? I am sorry to say that I will never be bringing my dog back to this kennel, and fearful of the owners not caring, it gives me anxiety to even think about asking for my money back. This just is an unacceptable situation I've found myself in.

We are so thankful for Bark Place and can't say enough good things about it! We brought our 4 month old Havavese here for her first grooming, knots and all, and we got back a beautiful and clean pup. I almost didn't recognize her sans fur but we were so happy! And she smelled so good! The staff were very friendly and professional. They explained exactly what they were going to do to our little baby and said she'll be ready in 2 hours.

I got a call exactly 2 hours later that Bella was ready to be picked up. We have also signed up for doggie day care at Bark Place. Bella had her first day yesterday and again the staff were great. Bella was pooped from all the playtime she had. And again she came home smelling so good. The only thing that I would add if I could would be a live feed camera, where I'd be able to watch Bella during playtime online. Otherwise everything else so far has been great. Thank you Bark Place! Bella's new home away from home!

Best haircuts ever. The dog was received back relaxed, not jittery, smelling like - and looking like a million dollars in a 5lb bag. We travel all the way from Oak Park to go back to this place in our old neighborhood. That is saying something in a city with roughly 5,000 dog groomers. They keep a file on your dog so they should know the cut they want so it helps. No hassle, good staff, great haircuts.
