I found Sit Means Sit in HB thru a referral from Neisha (employee of the Las Vegas Sit Means Sit). Our lil Casper was rescued and has high anxiety (he'd been adopted and returned prior to me). This lil guy, who is as cute as he can be did so much damage to my house and I was at wits end (ex. Bit and ruined blinds, tore up my couch, dug major holes in my yard/grass, and he bit a hole in the replacement/new wing back chair, etc., causing over $3000 in damages/replacements & I still need blinds).
Enter Sit Means Sit. Casper had a difficult time with training at first because he is a pup, at times he's stubborn and pit bull, at that, so he is high energy, easily distracted and barks at other dogs. But with the help of the Sit Means Sit team, he's come a very long way! They are hands on and the sessions are one on one, except with group classes. Needless to say, Casper is still a work in progress but he has come so far, in such a short period of time.
He actually looks forward to wearing the collar daily because it means we will be training (or as he sees it, he's making mama happy by obeying). I highly recommend Sit Means Sit! The trainers (trainers are rotated) and staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, kind, patient and dedicated to helping both, Mama and Casper be successful. The key is definitely consistency but the trainers help you every stop of the way, make recommendations on products to help improve pups performance and give simple tips and tricks to make sure our Casper is successful. Thank u!

Michael is amazing! He was the trainer for our 1 year old Corgi, Nori. It was difficult to make the decision to board Nori for 2 weeks but we quickly grew comfortable because Michael was incredibly communicative and sent multiple photos/videos so we could easily track her progress. He was super helpful on pick-up day, making sure we understood the training techniques and was patient with all of our questions. Nori is the same dog she was before training (maybe even happier!) and so much more obedient.
We just picked her up a couple days ago and we are already noticing a lot of improvement - she walks right by our side, she doesn't whine/cry when seeing another dog/human, she is calm when we take her out to public places, and she is less anxious. It's only been a couple days! Taking Nori to Sit Means Sit was one of the best decisions we made for her. Thank you, Michael!

Our Corgi, who is only 5 months old, came home after 8 days away and is able to follow come, place, sit and down commands as well as to walk calmly beside us on her daily walks. Her trainer, Michael, was amazing in teaching her these behaviors and in passing this learning on to us. She is still a puppy so we expect to be consistent in our training behavior as we are the weak link at this point. Looking forward to further lessons for our very intelligent companion. Thank you Sit Means Sit for great training!

Our dog just finished a 10 day overnight training with Bryan. Prior to training our 1 1/2 year old Lab was having trouble staying focused, jumping on people, not able to listen to commands, etc. Since he has returned home we have noticed such a change in his behavior and obedience. He will return in two weeks for another 10 day stay. If you are looking at the packages this company provides I would suggest breaking the 20 day class up into two different sessions. That way you can really focus in on what didn't stick and what did. We can't say enough great things about Bryan! Thank you so much and Boone misses you!

I signed up my new 4 month old puppy, Hendrix, on a 5-day board and train, and it was absolutely worth it! I was shocked to see such drastic progress just after 5 days. Hendrix was so well-behaved after the training, and they did a great job instructing me how to continue training her. Michael was amazing with her and did a phenomenal job! Thank you so much!

There were not enough stars to tell everyone how good this operation reallyis! From the care from the people who watch over our pups in the Kennel to the great trainers. In my case both Cory and Brian put nothing but their expert experience and love they put into their work. Up To The great managment everybody there pitches in everybody is positive supportive and given and give u great information on the do's and don't to make life anywhere you take ur dog a pleasant one. I just would recommend this place for anyone sit does mean sit and my animal is a 100% better. Thanks Everyone

We could not be happier with the training provided for our English Bulldog. The trainers worked with our dog for two overnight weeks and then we have had 2 additional in home trainings and one training at the facility. All of the staff was wonderful and very loving with our dog. This experience was worth every penny and extremely beneficial for our dog and us as dog owners.
The first overnight week was hard on me and I was missing our dog so badly. every time I called with questions or just wanting to check on him the staff talked me through all of those feelings. We worked with several trainers along the way and they were all wonderful, knowledgeable, patient and caring about the process and our pup. Thank you to the entire Sit Means Sit family!

We sent our lab to sit means sit and cannot get over how amazing the experience was! Michael is an amazing trainer and explains everything so well. He is also so patient and helpful when he comes to our house for a 1:1- we have a wild two year old, so it's pretty chaotic. We thought our dog, Moose was a lost cause, but Michael and sit means sit helped change that. He's a completely different dog and it was worth every penny! Thank you, so much Michael and everyone at sit means sit!

Following up on my previous review. Today, thanksgiving, we had several people come for dinner. This was the big test and Tucker passed with flying colors. Prior to going to boot camp, Tucker would jump on everyone and acted wild and crazy. Today, as guests arrived Tucker was much more relaxed. He did make a couple of attempts to jump but when commanded "off" he immediately stopped and didn't do it the rest of the day. He behaved so much better than we thought. Thanks Sit Means Sit!

I choose this place based on reviews however I did not have the best experience. My dog came back with muzzle marks and rash from the buzz collar and would shake when I tried putting his collar on. I send my 6 month dog to another board & train that was half the cost and it's night & day from my 2 yr old I send to sit means sit board & train program. Only reason I didn't give it a 1 star because it was during covid.

I am very pleased with our experience. Chris and Bryden have been working with our two pups for a few months. The trainers are kind and professional. They really know what they're doing and care a lot about the pups and our success. My husband and I haven't put in as much work as we should and the trainers give us kind reminders and support to stick to the training schedule. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for an effective and positive puppy training experience.

We enrolled Shadow, our German Shepard-Pittie-Husky-whatever else mix, to SMS' 10 day boarding training program. the results were amazing. Shadow definitely came back more obedient. There are also different follow up sessions (1 on 1 at home, 1 on 1 at the training location, group training etc.) that come with the original program enrollment to continue to reinforce the training.
The training sessions are effective and SMS does a great job introduce new variables to each session to mimic real life settings. Big shout out to Bryden and Michael to your help! It's great to see Shadow so excited to see you both at the training sessions.

The best trainers every.! They worked with Gracie and me for the best results. I can say I do not hesitate to take my dog out in public. Even though she may be a bit excited by her surroundings she follows commands. I have received numerous compliments on her behavior. thank you Sit Means Sit. My Gracie has been worth the time and investment.

When my wife and I got a puppy, we knew we would want to have her professionally trained. Of course we did this during the covid shut down. Chase took the time to drive to our house during the pandemic for our puppy lessons to get us started on the right track with our dog maple. We could not have asked for a better trainer for her. Our regular day trainings are still underway, but we can already tell a large difference in how maple reacts around us, and how she handles different situations. For a 4.5 month old puppy, we have the best dog around! So thankful Sit Means Sit and Chase are willing and capable of making such a huge difference in our dogs training.

Very happy with Sophia's progress. When we started I could not get leach on her, she would back away, refused to get in vehicle to go anywhere, would only come into the house when she was ready, would shy away when I reached out to pet her. All of these bad habits have been resolved. Wonderful just to give command come and have her stop what she is doing and respond and to be able to love on her. So happy I found Sit Means Sit Dog Trainers I have recommended trainers to others.

Before training, Violet would growl and bark at the guy loading groceries into my car at Walmart. Today, after 4 sessions, we stopped at Discount Tire for an air check. She sat quietly, no growling or anxiety, no barking at the technician, and no fear at the new noises she was hearing. I'm more than pleased at her progress!

If you are reading this review you are probably contemplating using "professional" assistance. Let's just get this out of the way after reading several poor reviews. HB SMS does not use an electric collar. It is a remote collar that taps the dog to make sure you have the dogs attention. Now for the review: God knows after owning a handful of Newfoundland's who were therapy dogs I managed to adopt a brown one who is 1/2 Newfie 1/2 Monster.
We were dealing with aggressive humping towards adult male friends, aggression towards mail carriers, and no recall or basic manners at all. I had a few consultations with a few locations. Here is why I chose SMS. 1. Take my dog for 30 days and please break the stubbornness. I rather be at the bar than at home every day after a long day working, working with him tirelessly sounded dreadful. 2.
Word of mouth from a handful of friends. 3. HB Local company (#HBSmallBusinessStrong). 4. I still wanted a dog not a robot. We opted for the 30 day program. After losing a leather chair, my Gardner's, refusal of any delivery services, and chasing Chuey countless times down the street (yes sometimes even after midnight) I needed a break. I received weekly phone check ins (NOT text but actually voice calls), 3 videos a week, and When he ran out of food I told them I would bring more, SMS sent staff to go get the brand Chuey consumes.
I can tell you this. I do NOT have the anxiety I use to have with him being at the door because he knows there is a boundary. My Gardner's have returned. My packages, mail, and food gets delivered NOW, and we get to play at dog beach every day! We walk off leash, and people are impressed! Listen. we have to still work with him daily even for just 15-20mins a day even professionally trained service dogs take at least a whole year to make perfect, but we do our best to attend Weekly group trainings and our individuals. Is Chuey a perfect service dog yet? Lol No! but he is 1/2 way there.
Below is a picture of he and I off leash INSIDE John Wayne Airport (8.16.2020). One small baby of a hiccup. I wish they wouldn't trade out trainers so much for individual sessions as they all have their own style, and I wish the individuals weren't so spread out between dates; but between Michael, Kyle, Brian, and Chris; Mr. Chuey gets way more compliments now and it just isn't on his fabulous tale.

Thank you Chris and sit means sit! Me and my gf dog, Winston, just came back today and we are absolutely floored by the progress he's made. Knowing that you guys will be there to every step of the way in training our dog is very reassuring, and we trust(and know!) he is in the best hands! Thank you again so much! (Btw definitely buy the collar, it's worth it)
