Ark Veterinary Hospital

Dr Bennett is a very competent and caring doctor. The staff at the clinic are amazing as well. I am very happy I found them. I brought my dog in because she was limping. I had gone to another clinic in town and they told me she needed a $3000 treatment. Dr Bennett gave her some $60 medicine and after about a month or so, she was back to normal. I'm willing to spend money on my pets, but I am so glad that I got the second opinion.

His dentals are also very reasonable and he does a good job. This past week, I brought in one of my cats who was not eating or drinking and only hiding under the bed. After a few hours with Doctor Bennett he was back to his old self. He no longer hides under the bed and is now eating and drinking normally. I am so impressed. Sometimes the clinic is busy so its necessary to wait but I have never had to wait for very long. The most has been about 5 minutes. I've had much much much longer waits at other clinics.

We were vacationing in Kerrville and brought our pups with us. Late Friday evening one of our pups became very restless and had signs of a UTI which had proven to be almost deadly to her several years ago because of other health issues she has. We had no idea what to do so we called our own vet and explained the situation. He advised us to try to find someone to see her first thing the next morning.

We got very little sleep that night and were so worried we wouldn't be able to find anyone to see her since we were from out of town and It was a Saturday. We drive into town to try to find someone and we are so incredibly thankful that this is where we stopped. They did not hesitate to see her and treat her. The guy at the front desk was very kind and the vet was wonderful and little did we know that Yorkies had a special place in his heart.

Thank you doesn't even come close to explaining how grateful we are. This fur baby belongs to my military son who will be home in a couple of months to visit her before he leaves the country and my heart was breaking at the thought of her possibly not making it til then. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our baby and making us feel like family.

Very friendly staff and vet, I think we will have a good long association. The African Gray is beautiful.

After 15 yrs. we are leaving Dr. Bennett's practice. Very poor customer service from front office guy. Does not return phone calls, gave incorrect information about a medication(asked if it came in a liquid form, it does, but the quick answer was no it doesn't.). Have recommended the Ark to several over the years, sorry to have done that.

Dr. Bennett is very kind and experienced. He has saved some badly injured cats of mine. Ramon is also very nice. Recommended!

Literally switching from my current vet to them! I boarded my Yorkie puppy with them (it was his first night away from us, and I trusted them because a friend of my families trusts them, also their main Dr knows all about Yorkies!) And they were delightful! So nice, and I was actually allowed inside!? Seriously great, so excited for my babies to be their patients!

He not the best BUT nobodies better. No for real the man is awesome and soo reasonable

Good caring vet who took porcupine quills out of our pups's mouth and tongue. Also kind for boarding.

I will never forgive myself for bringing my dog here. Misinterpreted my dog as spoiled and neurotic, kept calling him a "titty baby." My dog was in PAIN and SCARED. I agreed to a dental, and it was the worst decision of my life. He removed one of my dogs canine teeth with very little anesthesia. I've picked up dogs from dentals before: they spend the rest of the day groggy. No, I picked my dog up, and he was very awake, agitated, and barking.

My dog got worse and worse over the next 48 hours, and I had to have him put down at another vet's office. This man is very kind and folksy. He puts you at ease. Do not be fooled. Please, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Critical: Professionalism Ramon the front desk is clerk is so rude and he has poor customer service. I will never go there again or recommend. I been there twice both times he's rude and today he was very rude on the phone. This place needs a person that wants to be there.evidently he doesn't and it shows.

Misinterpreted my dog's behavior as being spoiled and neurotic instead of being in pain. Worst dental ever. Dog had to be put down 48 hours later. I will never forgive myself for coming here. I knew better. I understand that vets are human just like anyone else, but DO NOT go to a "cheap" vet who doesn't even suggest pre-surgery blood work. Trust me, your dog is worth more. Spend the money.

HORRIBLE VET! I brought my sugar glider in for an abscess to left side of his face. He claims he gave an abx injection and sent him home on cipro eye drops. Eye worsened despite abscess draining a FOUL drainage so I brought him back.nothing was done despite my request to lance it and wash it out. Two days later my glider self mutilated the abscessed part of his face literally digging his skin and bottom eye lid completely off.

I called the emergency line and this "vet" tries to blame it on the glider fighting with my other one which they have NEVER done! He had no regard to what has happened to him and his neglectful care! I asked if he was even comfortable working on such a small animal because his only way to "resolve" my now zombie looking glider was to put a cone around his neck. I'm now in the process of being referred to a surgeon to remove his eye and clean the remaining of his face before his dies of sepsis

Dr. Bennett took my sun conure in on a Saturday for an eye injury. Her right eyelids were stuck closed & I was so very worried that she might have also been blinded in that eye. After 3 days as an inpatient, her eye fully opened. Although she'd lost a very tiny piece of tissue from the lower lid, she seems to see perfectly well. Thank you Dr. Bennett for helping my little feathered friend & putting up with her neurotic "mom".that would be me!

Wonderful! Our 114 pound dog doesn't like to have his nails cut. They were knowledgeable and not afraid of him. They have a new patient for life!

My grandma and I have been going here for a few years now. Dr. Bennett is such a caring man. His staff is also very kind and they have always done their best to take care of my fur babies. I've done about 4 spays and neuters with him and if any of them had complications with it he always (free of charge) took care of them. He is definitely my family vet and I will probably never go anywhere else if I can help it!

I own and operate a 60-cat rescue shelter and am a frequent visitor to The Ark. I have found Dr. Bennett and his staff to be extremely knowledgable, caring and devoted to administering the highest quality care to animals of all types. They take as much time as needed to be certain I understand the problem as well as the treatment protocol. Every one of the friends and colleagues I have referred to the Ark over the years has been equally as pleased. I highly recommend them; your beloved pet will be in good hands!

What a wonderful resource here in our communities. The vet and staff were so caring and professional. They treated my precious maltese Dasie with kindness and gave me assurances that she would find relief. I recommend this clinic to pet owners in our area!

Dr Bennett never knew what he was doing with my ferret. I wasted my time here instead of seeing someone who knows how to handle small mammals. George could have lived longer had proper treatment been available here. He is dead now, thanks a lot.

The Doctor has always been very kind and super helpful with any questions/concerns I had with my dogs separatation anxiety. He is great with my puppy and has helped us through this struggle. Very knowledgeable and approachable

My friend took her cat here twice spent over 200 $$ and it just got worse. She called them asking for her cats records and explained that it wasn't getting better and she was going to take him to a different vet and the receptionist just said " oh okay you can swing by and get them". I recommended my vet Kerr Vet Clinic ( AWESOME STAFF AND GREAT)

The quality of care here is just awful. After my animal had surgery I stopped by to find the clinic closed at lunch and no one there with the post surgical animals. When I approached Dr Bennett about it he dismissed me as if I was stupid to even be concerned. I have since used other vets in Kerrville and found them excellent so there's really no reason to ever bring your pet here if you care about them.

Love Dr. Bennet! Very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable man. I recommend many clients to him, and he always comes through. Best vet I have ever met.

Customer service does not exist here. Was treated very disrespectful for someone of my age and stature. The phone was not answered nor was my message returned. Due to my pets timetable, I had to pick up his meds today. I also wanted to return food my pet would not eat. After making a trip to the office, I was sickened by the odor. The young girl greeted me with rudeness and appeared to be too busy to help me. I tried to communicate my concerns and take care of my transaction. I was ignored by the staffer & the Dr. I have taken my business elsewhere.
