Chachere Veterinary Clinic is a full-service, mixed-animal practice serving clients in Dayton, Liberty, Huffman, Cleveland, Humble, and other surrounding communities. We welcome cats and dogs as well as cattle, horses, and show animals, including goats, sheep, and pigs. Chachere Veterinary Clinic has proudly served companion pets and farm animals in Dayton and the surrounding communities since our founder, Dr. Luke Chachere, opened the practice in 1984.
Dr. Luke Chachere established Chachere Veterinary Clinic in August of 1984 after completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at Texas A&M University. Born and raised in Dayton, he returned home to serve his community as a veterinarian. His wife, Julie, is also a lifelong Dayton resident and teaches school in Dayton I.S.D. Dr. Luke is the father of 3 children: Lukas, Elizabeth, and Rebecca.
Companion animal care: From vaccines and parasite control to annual checkups, surgery, dental visits, and cold laser therapy, we provide a range of healthcare services for cats and dogs. Show animals: We're here to help you keep your cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats healthy. Bring your show animals to us for health certificates, general wellness, diagnostics, and more.
Your pets provide you with unconditional love and companionship, and it's our job to help them stay healthy and active throughout their lives. I've recently moved to the area and needed a new Veterinarian for my 9 year old Lab mix. I've had the same Veterinarian for 13 years and had grown so comfortable with him. They made me us feel very comfortable and welcoming. Answered all my questions. Everyone was very friendly. I think we have found a new home.

AMAZING WITH AGGRESSIVE DOGS! I recently moved here from Dallas. I have a 100 pound dog who has severe anxiety which he expresses through aggression. I always get anxious myself when it's time to find a new vet because I've witnessed some awful things done to my dog in the past. The vet and the vet techs were WONDERFUL with my boy Bear. He didn't try to eat their faces when he got his nails clipped and only growled once during the exam. It was a great experience. Absolutely amazing clinic, I'm so grateful for them.

What a terrific family practice. We like 40 miles from here but make the trek just because of the staff and their caring, pleasant nature. They actually care about our animals and go above and beyond to be helpful. I won't go anywhere else, ever. Their prices are fair and they are so helpful. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

So disappointed. Have used this vet for 5 years. I take my older dogs in to have their teeth cleaned on a Friday. Everything is fine that day. The next weekend my wolfhound comes down with classic kennel cough. Have to go to emergency vet and she'll out big $$$. Call in the next day and they deny any dogs with kennel cough. Couldn't possibly be that.
It must have been the intubation tube. So I say ok. He gets better. One week later my new puppy comes down with kennel cough. They don't bother to work her in. Say they are full. They can see me next week. There doctors are full only so much they can do in a day. Beware! I'm changing vets.

They were absolutely amazing. After trying to get an appointment at the vet in Crosby for about two weeks of calling, I called these folks. They answered my 1st call. They took all three of my dogs in the same appointment, no problem. They only charged $45, $25, $25, for the visit. $95 all three dogs. With medicine, ear wash and shampoo for yeast it only came to around $200! they were gentle, they listened, they were knowledgeable, they were not judgmental, they were Covid 19 compliant, they were patient, and they were friendly! THANKS YALL - HOW REFRESHING AND COMFORTING JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME.

I switched to this Chachere Vet Clinic after a less than stellar experience with another local vet, and I'm so glad that I did! Dr. Luke has done a wonderful job with my pups, and has taken the time to explain things to me in detail, giving me options. Their prices are very reasonable, they charged less than half the price quoted to me by my old vet for a surgery to my elderly cocker spaniel, and still gave her great care.
She is now thriving! Their facility is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and overall I could not be happier with the service we have received. You can feel confident taking your pets to this clinic, they will receive excellent care.

I had a great experience here, everyone was very friendly, the wait was 5 minutes before I was back in a room. They go by appointments and I like that. I had 5 ingrown nails on my cat removed, an antibiotic shot, a pain shot, and flea medicine all for $140, so the prices are unbeatable. I will definitely be bringing my cat here from now on
