I can't say enough about The Barrie Inn. I have been using them over the years for grooming of my 5 standard poodles and little coton de tulear and always been very happy with the results. I loved them for grooming but I never needed them for anything else. Then my circumstances changed and I needed to board my immune compromised 2 year old poodle.

This dog had been left once before with someone who boarded in her home and he was gravely ill when I picked him up. I was very concerned about my fragile dog and how he would do being left again. My vet recommended speaking to Ellen, one of the owners of The Barrie Inn. Ellen was superb! She listened sympathetically to my fears and promised she and her staff would pay very close attention to my dog's physical as well as emotional needs.

She told me to call as often as I needed and she and her staff sent me pictures and videos to ease my mind. I came home to a healthy, happy dog. The Barrie Inn was truly a life saver!

Apollo loved his stay. Staff was friendly and kept us updated daily.

At Barrie Inn, they treat my two dogs Max & Scoobie like family. Everyone there is so pleasant and you can see that they LOVE dogs.

Personally my first time taking my dog to a grooming facility. I give thanks and appreciation to Ellen. She was very understanding of my complicated wants in my pups haircut. He came out looking handsome as ever. Very caring and understanding customer service.

Very happy with our first grooming experience! We have a growing german shepherd puppy and he's getting stronger and hates baths so not an easy combination. I was planning on a mobile groomer but got an appointment 3 weeks out and the stinkiness was just too much. I called Barrie Inn and they have been very busy but were so nice and accommodated us the same day.

I'll admit, I was a little nervous, not so much because of the employees of the Barrie Inn but because I know our little guy can be a handful. When we arrived I called and a very nice girl came out and gave him time to sniff her and then brought him in (pretty much like curbside service). I appreciate measures are being taken to keep everyone safe.

In about an hour I got a message that our boy was ready for pickup, he came out and looked SO handsome and clean. He smelled great, had the cutest little bandana. His big boy coat is growing and there has been very little to no shedding, it's great. We will definitely continue grooming at Barrie Inn and hoping to use their other services :) thanks so much!

They know my dog and they are so good at showing me how much they care for him. He's always so excited to return and is pooped when I pick him up. They also make sure to wipe him down before I get him back. I especially appreciate that they take the dogs outside for walks - even if they do their business inside.

What a great staff. We boarded our two dogs there for 5 days. There are amazing people working there. We got daily updates when we wanted them. We were sent videos of them playing and interacting with the other dogs. Will definitely board them here again! And a special thanks to Desiree.

I've taken my dog to day care in the past here and he enjoys it. The review is specifically about the grooming services. I live in manhattan and actually only take my pups here. The price is great (lower than other groomers I've brought them to in the city) and they always come home looking incredible! The groomers follow instructions so well and they always put a little bandana on my guys that is on theme with the holidays/seasons I bring them in. Truly incredible grooms!

Huge thank you to the Barrie Inn, for taking such good care of our Kasper. We normally leave him with Family, but it was not possible this year. Leading up to our trip we brought him in every Sunday for daycare, just to see if it was a good fit. After meeting the staff and getting to know the facility, we knew he was going to be in great hands. One of our highlight on our trip, was being able to see the pictures they posted of him playing.

We also had him groomed before being picked up. We the Barrie inn and will continue to bring Kasper there on Sundays and use them when we go out of town. We think Kasper even made some new doggie friends during his week away and we know he can't wait to go back and play with them all.

We have done it all at the Barrie Inn. Boarded, grooming, day care and park. High recommend! Our dog loves being in the their building and all the people who work there.

Wonderful staff, wonderful service. We could not praise this fantastic doggy day care any more than our words allow us. This place is just happiness for dog owners as well as our five dogs who gave been attending the school five days a week for the past three-four years. Highly recommendable. Five stars is not enough!

I have been using their grooming service for around 1 yr now and I love it. Maria (the groomer) does an excellent job and my dog looks beautiful and like a real Schnauzer. I have a miniature Schnauzer and now he looks like the real deal (well defined face with a nice beard, mustache, legs, body, etc). He receives constant compliments on the street. I didn't use any other services there yet, but I would not hesitate if I would need it, all the stuff is very nice, dogs are well take care of and they look very happy.

I love this place! I've taken my dogs here for YEARS to get groomed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and my dogs always come out happy, clean and fresh! I've recommended many friends to the Barrie inn and I've never heard a complaint! I will continue to take my fur babies to the Barrie inn and I highly recommend you do the same!

This is without a doubt the best place to send your fur babies for grooming. I have been sending my Frosty (Siberian husky ) and Bronco ( French mastiff) for baths and grooming and they definitely provide a great service they know how to deal with big dogs. I love to see my babies coming back from there happy and clean. I highly recommended it. Staff is always professional polite and very helpful. They also offer a pick up and drop off service which works great with me since I have a toddler and it's hard for me to drive them all at the same time.

They were very friendly and helpful from the start. I needed an alternative boarding for my dog when our regular place closed unexpectedly for repairs. I called and brought him in for an evaluation and that was it. They were great with my 2 year old Min Pin and very nice to me as well. They seem to enjoy him and him them. We've been using them ever since and I have no complaints. I have even used the grooming once and that was the best bath he has ever come home from. They are also very reasonably priced in their services. All in all a great find!

As a new dog owner, I have a sweet puppy Remi. he is only 4 months and my long and unpredictable hours at work made me look into other options. My initial fear and anxiety of leaving him for whole days was erased when I first starting coming here in December. He loves it here and they love him back. This place is a very welcoming environment for your furry friend. Great, friendly staff and they always answer whatever questions I have. Glad to have a place Remi can grow I'm with other puppies and dogs.

This is my go to place for my pup, a 23 pound wheaten terrier and poodle mix (a whoodle!) They do a great job grooming him and at a very fair price. Russ and Ellen did a great job training him and were very accommodating with scheduling. He has boarded there several times for as long as a week and has a great time. On at least one occasion a family emergency came up and they took him on short notice with no questions asked. The indoor dog park really breaks up the stay. Highly recommend.

When I called to see if they had an available appointmen for my morkie to be groomed, they took her immediately. Ellen was super polite and helpful. They did a wonderful job with my morkie Nalah and I look forward to having them groom her again. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

I would never recommend this place to anyone! If you love your dog, do not bring him or her to this facility! They have 2 large pens, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The place is extremely chaotic! My dog is very social, goes to the dog park all the time, has doggie playdates etc. but when you put her into a pen for the 1st time with 15 large barking dogs she is naturally going to be skiddish and overwhelmed.

Instead of working with her they told me they had to use a pinch collar, feed her in her crate and said she had social issues. The workers were screaming on top of their lungs at the dogs. My dog cried all the way home after being picked up and acted strange for the next few days. She will never go back!

Thank You Gia & Co for taking such good are of Lukas + Lucy, my twins. We left for our trip to LA during the holiday weekend, our first time ever boarding, and we were worried, as our dogs were rescued and they are very skiddish. The Facility has a great staff, and I was made to feel very welcomed, and shown where the dogs would sleep and play, etc. We returned and our pups were very glad to see us, and very well looked after. Thanks again for your help, we'll be back.

There are no words to describe how thankful i am for The Barrie Inn. My dogs Duke and Kasey (who are beyond attached to me) actually PULL me in by their leash whenever we arrive. That speaks a thousand words. The place is large, clean and the staff is plentiful--made up of all animal lovers who make it seem like this is truly where they want to be. They know and love each animal like its their own. All is tribute to owner Ellen, whom I have tremendous respect for! The Barrie Inn is a GEM.

I've been there twice and I find that they are awesome. The staff is friendly and professional. My dog was given a blueberry facial. I can't praise them enough. You get a lot for your money. I will never use another groomer. And my dog smells wonderful.
