I can't say enough great things about Barbara! She initially did a call to explain the whole process and what was included with Bark Busters. Then, she answered all my questions was flexible and highly responsive. She helped my nervous wreck of a dog learn to relax, to understand my husband and I were in control, and he was safe. The change in him is night and day!
Don't get confused - she actually retrained my husband and me to make our boy feel safer. We are still working on our behavior and being consistent, but he listens and is more affectionate instead of being on high alert all of the time. My only regret is I didn't contact her earlier! We were getting ready for a big move to another state, and she gave us tips on making it easier for him.
He traveled like a champ and adjusted to the new house very quickly! She offered to Zoom with us when we have settled and to get us in touch with a local Bark Buster associate in our new area if we need more help! Don't wait - if you are looking for a trainer, Barbara is fantastic!

Barbara Fassett, our trainers was terrific to work with. She addressed the issues that I had identified regarding my almost 2 year old Maltese, and clearly taught me how to achieve the desired behavior. She made it fun! She is experienced, knowledgeable, loves dogs, and is a pleasure to spend time with. Sessions are never rushed, and the fee for training includes as many as one needs. I highly recommend!

My husband and I adopted a puppy in October, and two weeks later he injured his leg and needed surgery. Being that he's a border collie mix, he is EXTREMELY high energy and didn't take well to having to take it easy for two months until his leg heals. His behavior was pretty out of control and we were so desperate. Before even hiring her, Barbara gave me a call and spoke to me for an hour about ways I could help my puppy acclimate to his new environment and make him more comfortable during his healing.
As soon as his leg was well enough, Barbara came by for our dogs first training session. Within minutes of her being over, our dog was behaving in a way we have never seen before. We've only had two sessions, so our puppy still has learning to do, but just in these few weeks we have noticed a tremendous improvement that has made our lives so much easier.
We can finally enjoy our puppy. I like that the training is more teaching owners how to lead their dogs. We are teaching our puppy how to respect us and understand that we are creating a safe home and life for him. We can't wait to continue watching him improve. THANK YOU Barbara!

I am so happy with Barbara Fassett from Bark Busters! She was so knowledgeable, friendly, patient and always punctual. She did a wonderful job training Scooter (and me )! Prior to Scooter, I'd trained or had a dog trained before so I had no idea what to expect or how long it would take for him to do the few things I need him to do (sit, stay, come, and walk without dragging me behind him on a leash).
After our initial discussion, she come to my home (kindly accommodating my work hours) and we had a more in-depth discussion and Scooter's first training session. Let me tell you, not only was that discussion incredibly informative, but by the time she left that night, Scooter would come to me when called! That blew my mind; I was not expecting that at all.
And things progressed like that at every appointment thereafter; whatever it was we worked on Scooter would do it for me by the end of that session. Our homework was always to continue to work on those commands to really solidify it for him and she would give me helpful pointers to make me a more effective "pack leader". She would explain the training every step of the way, and not just what to do, but the why behind everything (which helped me better understand how to effectively work with my dog).
It only took 4 lessons with Barbara to get Scooter to a point where he knows all the commands I need him to know. And I love that there's a lifetime guarantee; which means if I need her in the future, she'll be there for me and if I have questions at any point, I can just reach out to her for some guidance. If you're looking for a trainer, she is the person you want to work with. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. This was money well spent!

We are so happy that we've invested our time and money into Bark Busters. Barbara Fassett did an outstanding job"training us" to help train our rescue pup, Roscoe. We knew he would be trainable but we needed to know the right things to do and the right way to apply. From the first day, he was a changed dog. He's more attentive and follows commands. We are continuing our training because it works. Thank you Barbara for guiding us. We are ALL happier clients. We highly recommend Barbara and Bark Busters!

Barbara was the absolute best when it came to training our newly adopted 5 month old Golden Retriever. She helped us correct and overcome his behavioral issues and stubbornness (resource guarding, basic commands, and manors) without any physical force or food reward! I highly recommend Barbara for any level of training needs you may have.

I am so impressed with the results of our sessions with Barbara! Our dachshund Finn was a maniacal barker when anyone would knock or walk by our house, especially with their dogs. He also had some aggression issues when he felt someone was a threat to us or him. We immediately implemented all the training tips and techniques Barbara used - and have had amazing results.
It now only requires a word to stop any barking that's started and most recently I'm noticing he looks at me before he even lets out the first "woof". Progress indeed. In addition to the vast improvement in barking, overall Finn seems to be calmer and happier. No doubt that's due to our regular and consistent training and his knowledge that he's not responsible for managing the house, but rather we are.
Her methods did not include treats or physical handling. Much of it was based on "dog psychology" and our interactions with him. It requires absolute consistency on our part, but the results are well worth any effort. I love the fact that the training is done in your own home, on the dog's home turf. Finn had been to basic puppy and intermediate school, but this was the step missing - he needed more training at home, without distractions.
I have already told many of my friends about Bark Busters and will certainly recommend Barbara to anyone that needs help with their dog. We consider it money well spent and an investment in a happier dog.

I would highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone in need of training for their dog. I have a very dog aggressive daschund/beagle mix who has actually bitten me a few times because I have stood between him and another dog. I tried a personal trainer who did not correct his behavior so I thought I had a hopeless case. I work in the veterinary field and was familiar with the name Bark Busters and heard the success stories of my clients.
Well I figured I would give it a go so I went on line, took the test and was promptly contacted by Barbara Fasset, the trainer in my area. She was very patient with us and Lenny and was in contact with us afterward to see how we were doing. The techniques she "trained" us to do with Lenny worked! My husband and I feel that we have a new dog. We can actually take him out for a walk without fear of meeting up with another dog. Lenny seems happier too. I wish I had gone to Bark Busters a lot sooner. If you are even remotely thinking about using Bark Busters, don't think anymore, just do it! You will not be disappointed.
