Altamont Country Kennels

We boarded our small dog here over a holiday weekend and were very happy with everything about his stay. We highly recommend it!

My dogs are always happy to be there. The owners are kind and caring. My vet recommended them to me 7 years ago and I've always been happy leaving my pets there.

Clean and great prices. Our go to for the dogs everytime we don't want to leave the dogs alone.

The kennel we had been using had recently closed. I was very hesitant and worried about having to find a new kennel. Previously, when my regular kennel was closed and I used a different kennel, my girl tore her ACL because she was let out into the play yard, when I gave specific instructions for her not to be let out in the play yard. But I was extremely happy with how ReRe was cared for here.

She has a habit of not eating sometimes if she is really tired. But they made sure to let me know, in case that was out of the norm. We will continue to use them with the utmost confidence that ReRe is well taken care of.

Carl and Mary are thoughtful and caring for the family pets that stay with them. Our rescue dog was given the attention needed to feel comfortable while staying at the kennel. We could not have been happier.

I boarded my dogs here a few years ago, 2015 and they were so poorly cared for that they had each lost 10 and 15lbs and one of my dogs had bed sores all over her legs which required hundreds of dollars of medical care. We picked her up and were at the vet the next morning for medical attention after we realized how poorly she was. The owners completely under exaggerated how bad of shape she was in.

My dog was traumatized and her mental health never fully recovered and neither did the scars from the bed sores. I can't hold the owners responsible for my dog suffering extreme separation anxiety but I can hold them responsible for negligence. They neither called my vet nor the emergency contact person if anything were to be seriously wrong. They didn't do those things bc they didn't want to lose a check.

This was my first and last experience boarding animals, I've never trusted anyone again with my pets. I should have wrote this review long ago but it was such an upsetting experience that I tried for so long to push it from my mind. I would never trust this place with an animal. I tri

Altamont Country Kennels is the best. Their cuts are always so cute, and their service is always friendly and professional. I trust my dogs with them absolutely.

My 3 pups have been under their care for over 6 years now. The staff is friendly, attentive to your pup's needs. We also love the grooming services. We have a Mini Schnauzer, a Mini Golden Doodle and a Giant Schnauzer, so grooming capability is very important to us. They are great with grooming all three pups for us! I get a lot of comments on how handsome the Giant Schnauzer looks! We trust them and you should too!

I've used this kennel for both boarding and for dog grooming. The place is spotless. My dog is always given a thorough washing and great cut. I toured the kennel prior to my first time boarding my dogs. It was very clean and didn't have any odors. I've boarded both my dogs and my cats (cats kept in a different building than the dogs, which is less stressful for the cats)there, several times.

My pets were very well taken care of. The owners are very caring and trustworthy. I know that I do not have to have any worries about my pets while they are there! I highly recommend using this kennel. You can trust that your pets are being properly attended to and that all of their needs are being met.

We just brought our dog Otto in for a grooming (bath, nails, ears) this morning. ACK did an outstanding job! Carl gave us a tour of the facilities. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We will be using them again for all our grooming and boarding needs. Thank you!

My dogs look so wonderful after their grooming today! They were very caring with my dogs, who are rescue dogs and scared often. And they went above and beyond to make them comfortable. I will definitely be returning with my dogs and would highly recommend them for grooming!

This has been the second summer that my cat went on "vacation" to Altamont Country Kennels; like other reviewers have said - I drive by many other kennels to go here. The owners are very friendly and it's always an easy process to reserve, drop off, and pick up. They do a great job looking after my cat and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a kennel.

Remember that Saturday night where the windchill reached -37! Me too, and my dogs were safe and sound with Carl and Mary! I love these guys. I will drive past many other kennels just to get to their place. Love your dogs and your life too? Meet Carl and Mary, the next best thing to being there. But make reservations, the word is out!

We love Altamont Country Kennels! My parents have been bringing their dogs here for years for boarding and grooming and have always been so happy! I have just brought my dog their for the first time- the owners were so caring and comforting (especially to me, who was so sad to leave my puppy). After the first day, Carl sent pictures of my puppy and my parents' dog playing fetch and having so much fun. Such a nice touch and so appreciated. Highly recommend!

I love Mary & Carl and completely trust them to take care of my pups. I moved to the area about 8 months ago and have struggled to find a place that I could take my 2 dogs. I previously owned a pet daycare and boarding facility in the Midwest - and so I tend to be picky about where I will leave my dogs.
