Very wonderful trainers to work with! They really know how to read dogs when it comes to one on one classes. They are extremely professional and carrying when it comes to these animals. We also had a blast with puppy classes and our girl is seriously so well behaved. 10 out of 10 would recommend to ANYONE!

We couldn't recommend Kristen enough. We adopted a younger dog whose history we didn't know anything about as she was brought in as a stray. Though she was friendly towards us, our dog acted aggressively towards other people and other dogs. As we were trying to get her used to life outside the kennel, her reactivity was admittedly a little overwhelming.
But then we found Kristen. Kristen identified what "triggered" our dog right away and showed us ways to positively address it through reward instead of punishment. She walked us through how to work with her the right way, basically training us instead of training the dog, which is exactly what we needed. She provided notes to continue our training at home.
A year later, she is a transformed dog. We couldn't bring friends to our house for a while after getting her for fear she would hurt someone. Now, having used Kristen's training methods for about a year, our dog quickly warms up to strangers. We can enjoy walks without fear of an embarrassing display of a dog-gone-crazy. We just returned to Advances in Animal Behavior to get some more training for vet visits, and can't wait to put Kristen's training into practice. She is an outstanding trainer with decades of experience and we can't thank her enough for what she has done to help my husband, me and our pup.

I have been taking Murphy to training at Advances in Animal Behavior for over a year, starting with Puppy Class, then obedience, and now agility. He is a smart dog with high energy, and loves running through tunnels, over jumps and other obstacles. Come Here Now class was especially helpful, as he understood what come meant, just didn't see why he should! Katie and Kristen make it fun to train your dog, and it's never boring.
They have been very helpful with behavioral issues as well, as consistent training builds a great bond with your dog. Their methods are all positive rewards, exactly what I wanted for Murphy.

I have been taking my dog Chuck to Advances in animal behavior for over a year. First for obedience training and presently taking agility classes. Kristen was a big help in getting Chuck trained as a therapy dog. Love the trainers, Kristen and Kate. Great facility! Wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Best trainers EVER! We take agility classes here currently, and recently did Board and Train during our last vacation. You can board your pups upstairs at PHPR and have trainers work with them during their stay. Worth every penny! We have also had extremely successful private lessons and loved taking Obedience group class as well. We have a new rescue that we adopted back in October, and with the help of Kristen, Katie and everyone, our new pup has really settled in to life with us.
