I can't believe I am about to share this with everyone and I hope nobody experiences what we just did. We can all agree we've volunteered to some capacity in our lives and the one thing we can all say is that the organizations are always grateful for those that spare their free time to help in any way possible. My daughter(15 y/o) was excited that she was given the opportunity to volunteer at CatNap and fell in love with her duties.
She shared her stories with us and despite some challenging moments, loved her time there. Loved it so much that she would reach out and ask if she can volunteer more than originally agreed upon. This morning she received a text, not a call, letting her know that after further review, it was determined that she was not a good fit? Not a good fit for volunteering? Unbeknownst to us, she had 3 shifts to prove herself before they determined that she couldn't handle the responsibilities?
I coach and one thing I take pride in is that I never give up on my athletes, instead I empower them and watch them excel! The least they could've done, which is the duty of the volunteer coordinator(Naila), is give her a courtesy call, thank her for her time, and let her know what the expectations are for a volunteer. Instead, she sent a text telling her that she's not a good fit and didn't even send a thank you!
Please put more of an effort in screening your volunteers, maybe let them know that they need a certain amount of years experience volunteering or only take on only those that have experience in an animal shelter. I know this organization does great things for the animals and by no means am I suggesting that they are bad people. Just disappointed that they didn't have the decency to say thank you. My daughter wants to give back to the community and we will find a place that will have patience with her and appreciate her kind heart. Thanks!

I foster cats for Forever Fortunate Felines, and I have had several fosters who have been spayed, neutered, or have had surgery at CatNap from the Heart. The staff is professional and compassionate and so very hardworking. While it is a long drive for me, and it's difficult dropping off any pet for surgery, I know that my cats will have excellent care.and there is great comfort in that.

Fostered 10+ cats through Catnap in just under three months with my girlfriend Angie and we love this place. They do a great job of trying to attend to us right away, even when they are busy, and do a good job of communicating. Chrissy does a fantastic job and really cares about animals and their fosters.

The people that work there are so kind and helpful. The vicinity is also very clean and well kept. I am not a cat person, but I fell in love with one of their cats I had to take him home. My mom adopted the brother and we are all so happy. If you're looking to adopt a cat or rabbits, you should really check this place out!

The staff is professional and very enthusiastic about the animals they shelter. I just adopted 10 week old kittens. in this case it's a foster to adopt meaning the kittens are still 'owned' by the shelter until we bring them back to be spayed and chipped. their adoption rates are very fair and they send you home with toys and little blankets. if you're looking for a any aged cat, this is the place to go. I'm extremely happy.
