WELCOME to Molly's Country Kennels, situated on 5 grassy and forested acres in rural Worcester Township (between Lansdale and Norristown, Collegeville and Ambler), is a family-owned full service pet care center. In 1988, we purchased a boarding kennel that we named Molly's after our beloved Golden Retriever.
A recent survey states that 86 percent of pet owners consider their pets to be an extension of their family. At Molly's, 100 percent of our staff treat our canine guests like family 100 percent of the time. Our warm, home-like environment and caring staff ensures that your dog's day with us will be a pleasant, comfortable and fun!
Each six foot tall Townhouse includes four levels, one of which is a shelf with a window looking outside to birds clustered around the birdfeeders there; a custom individual fresh air system and a litter box which is enclosed on its own level for privacy. Some of the Townhouses have optional connectors to adjacent Townhouses for multi-cat families (see above photo).
Your pet will receive a Manhattan Bagel with peanut butter or cream cheese for breakfast, then will be taken outside three times a day on our triple play activity, and will have a Krazy Kong for a bedtime snack. Your dog will be taken out for a morning hike on Molly's trails, and afternoon swim, and then another evening hike through the woods.

We had just brought home our Malinois puppy and were looking for a trainer with breed experience. John has been amazing, I don't know if we would have survived the maligator puppy year if we weren't working with him? We started with a group basic obedience class, added private lessons (so worth it) and also did some day training too. Now go to day school once a week to socialize her with other dogs.
She is so excited to go inside when we get there, the best part? She comes home exhausted! They organize doggy events and holiday parties and take great photos too! All of the staff members that we've encountered have been great too. We've have also boarded her as well. I have not seen any of the issues that other reviewers have written about, our experience has been positive.
It is true, they are a bit more expensive than some of their competitors for boarding but most places do charge extra for walks and play. We will continue to send our pup to Molly's and train with John.

Horrible Place! RUN! They lie through their teeth and charge you for things you did not ask for. Run by a low class family with no training excelt for John. My dog still has a scar over his eye from day school. Also, there are ZERO people there on the weekend! I would NEVER board my dog here. You never know what may heppen when they are left alone for most of the weekend. Do not believe their lies! What a potential death trap for your dog. BEWARE

I am grateful to Molly's for taking care of my cat during vacation. I love that they provide everything he needs while there (food, litter, etc.). I think one improvement would be to provide a little more detail upon pick-up about how the stay was, but they will communicate if any issues arise. Lastly, I would add that they are extremely flexible and considerate when it comes to the dates of the stay which make vacation-planning easier and less-stressful. Thanks for all you do!

Beware! I left my dog in their care for 5 days. When I got him home and took his collar off he had an open sore, oozing pus. The vet's diagnosis was acute dermatitis and they prescribed 4 meds: cefpodoxine, ketoconazole, prednisone and animax. I contacted the kennel they said they would investigate and get back to me. I sent pictures and my vet info. I never heard from them. I even paid for a bath on his last day, so either he never got it or they saw the injury, put his collar back and tied a bandana around his neck.

Fantastic experience with Molly's dog training, Day Training Program. I was referred by a friend to sign my dog up for the day training program and I couldn't be happier. I first spoke with the dog trainer, John Bickel. He took the time to explain the entire program and address all my concerns. At drop off I met with John that morning. I can admit, while driving I was nerves about leaving my puppy at a new place for the day.
Because of covid I have not been able to get her out very much, so she is very nerves around new people. When she met John that morning the first thing he did was get down on the floor and sweet talk her. I couldn't believe it. She ran right over to him, wiggling and wagging her tail. It was a huge relief. After that I wasn't worried at all about leaving her.
At pickup time I came in the office to meet with John. We were talking for a few minutes. He was sharing pictures and videos of my pup training with him. and all this time I didn't even realize my baby was sitting calmly in a sit stay right behind the desk waiting for us to finish talking. My dog never sat still for 5 seconds and she was sitting right there for at least 3 mins.
I was completely amazed! We just finished our 3rd day of day training. I can't believe the difference. We have a private training lesson set up with John for this weekend. I'm so excited, I can't wait. This was the best decision we made for our pup. I highly recommend dog training at Molly's Country Kennels with John Bickel. Definitely Five Stars. Thank you!

I'm sure this kennel is adequate enough for your average happy-go-lucky dog but avoid like the plague if your dog has any special needs or anxieties. Considering the multiple accreditations and awards displayed on their website, I was sorely disappointed with my experience. I am very understanding, and I have worked in several shelters/kennels and veterinary hospitals over the last 10 years.
However if you're too busy or short-staffed to handle the extra business, I would have appreciated being turned away as opposed to how I was treated as a new client. The website says the facility is full of soundproofing both inside and outside but I found the barking to be very loud and apparent from the parking lot. I knew this would make my dog very anxious.
The general manager checked me in. She was very short and rude and unwilling to explain how things worked. She shoved a pamphlet at me and said to pick from the menu. I told her I wanted him to have as much attention or extra activity he could handle but if he was too nervous or scared to just wean him in and see how he did. I didn't care about the cost, I just wanted him to be comfortable.
Her response was, "Well be doesn't have to sign up for anything then." She did not ask me if my dog had any allergies, and just assumed that they could hide his medications in whatever people food they had on hand. There were 2 children, around 10 years old, running in and out of the back rooms and even behind the counter answering the phone. My dog is almost 70 lbs and I was very uncomfortable with the fact that a small kid could just run through the door and get knocked down, an incident which I would be held liable for according to the forms I signed.
I was not reassured that his safety was in their best interest at all. When I asked if the facility had indoor/outdoor access or if my dog would be leash walked, she repeated like a script "it is an indoor-only air conditioned environment." Failing to mention that without specifically asking and paying extra, my dog would not be let outside AT ALL during his 48-hour stay.
I found this out only by reading other reviews after already leaving for my trip. Their website says "At Molly's, 100 percent of our staff treat our canine guests like family 100 percent of the time." Well apparently my pitbull is the black sheep of this family. When I told her the kids and other dogs running around made me very uncomfortable, I was asked if I wanted to take my dog back. Pressed for time and against my better judgement I left him.
I was told if I was concerned I could call any time and check in on him. Well I called to upgrade his stay to include potty breaks. I was placed on hold and waited over 20 minutes before the line disconnected. I called back. Same thing. I called again and got voicemail. I left a message and never got a return call. I called when they opened again at 3pm and got left on hold again.
I called 7 minutes before they closed for the night feeling absolute panic at the thought of my dog being forced to hold his bladder for 48 hours and possibly getting a UTI. Finally the very condescending woman told me I "declined any me-time activities at check-in." I told her there was miscommunication and I wanted to please pay for my dog to be taken outside.
She responded, "What do you want then, two times a day, three times, what?" As if I, as a new client knew what they offered off the top of my head. When my fiance picked him up he looked absolutely panicked, was covered in pee and poop and had his elbows scraped raw. He asked why we weren't called and notified that he wasn't adjusting well. The trainer came out and said the wounds looked fresh so they obviously occured overnight while he wasn't being watched.
I also mistakenly assumed that for $76 a night someone would be in the building overnight. My dog obviously panicked being left alone and harmed himself. This is certainly not the kennel's fault, but if I wanted my dog left in a small room alone all day and night to soil himself, I would have left him locked in my home for free.

Fantastic facility, we HIGHLY Recommend Molly's Country Kennels. My wife and I just relocated to Montgomery Co. from the west coast. Our baby boy was about to be delivered any day now. Not having any family here, we were at a loss of who would care for our anxiety filled pup. During a walk at a local park, someone recommended we give Molly's a call.
I gave them a call and explained our situation with my wife being pregnant, just moving to town and having a pup going through severe anxiety. I spoke with Ann and she couldn't of been more sweet and understanding of our situation. This was a complete stranger to us and she gave me her and her husband's personal contacts and said, when your wife is ready to deliver you call us day or night and one of them would be at Molly's to care for our pup.
It just so happens that I spoke with Ann on Saturday and we were dropping off our pup Monday morning. I have to admit both my wife and myself were very nervous leaving our dog because of his anxiety issues. When I pulled up John was waiting for me in their parking area, with chicken pieces in hand ready to take our pup. He jumped right out of the car and went with John.
I was in complete shock. Our pup has never gone with anyone before. Molly's staff was also there to take his belongings. It was the most perfect curbside service. It couldn't of taken more then 2 mins. and we were off to the hospital. Two hours after dropping off John texted me an update and pictures of how much fun our crazy pup was having. I have to admit I teared up with relief and happiness.
Over the next couple days the same, updates and great pictures. When I picked up he was completely groomed, so handsome and happy. They also gave us a beautiful card congratulating us on the arrival of our baby boy, signed by all the staff. I know I rambled on but it is not very often that you come across people and a place like this that will go above and beyond to show how much they care.
I cannot thank Ann, John and all the staff at Molly's country kennels enough for such a wonderful experience. You made us feel completely at ease knowing our pup was taken care of. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I really wanted to like Molly's because of how convenient the location is to my home. I just don't. It just isn't worth the price. First they charge you per calendar day. So if you board your dog overnight you pay for two days. (Starts at $38 per day which includes nothing, so $76 for an overnight stay). On top of that their hours suck, with limited windows to pick up and drop off.
I got the Me Time package so my dog was walked so that is $104 for an overnight. So a Saturday late afternoon drop off to Tuesday morning pick up is $214. The people who work there are not friendly-no smiles or warmth towards me the customer or my people-loving dog. No progress report about the dog's stay. After trying them again in a pinch, I know I will never go back. There are other kennels out there that are significantly less expensive and have similar accommodations and much better hours I will just have to drive farther.

Molly's is a well-organized, clean, and fun place for our dog. We use Molly's for boarding, grooming and day school a couple days each week. John, Anne and staff take their responsibility to your pet seriously and will work with you to optimize your pet's experience. Plus, they clearly like to have fun with their furry friends, throwing numerous parties, complete with food and photos. We rescued our dog from her third shelter and Molly's worked with us right out of the gate to customize care for this anxious 7-month-old pupper. I highly recommend Molly's!

My family and our dog Nala love Molly's! Great staff who treats you like family! Their services are amazing and thanks to John and Molly's training services our dog is calmer, listens and our son is no longer afraid of her because she is no longer hyper when she is around him and he was able to learn the commands John taught her and us so he now has some control over how she behaves in his presence! We highly recommend Molly's to our friends, family, and anyone looking for a place where they treat pets and their owners like family!
