Amoxicillin is an antibiotic drug commonly used in humans: it is used to treat bacterial infections and can also be used as one of the most commonly prescribed dog antibiotics, obviously at different dosages and only on the indication of the veterinarian, formulated both in tablets and in oral suspension. Among the best known commercial names there are Amoxi (Pfizer) and Clavobay (Bayer), but this antibiotic is produced by many pharmaceutical companies with as many commercial names and generic formulations.

Still, imagine what that cleaning procedure would be like for you if you did not brush your teeth at all between dental visits. With proper home care, your pet may not need that six month dentistry, thus saving you the expense and your pet the extra anesthetic. Periodontal disease is a major health risk for your pet.
In the early stages, some of your senior pet's problems may not be obvious and the gradual onset of health problems, in an apparently healthy pet, often goes unnoticed. Diagnostic tests such as a complete blood panel, complete blood count, thyroid levels, urinalysis, thoracic and abdominal radiographs or ultrasound are important means to evaluate your pet's health.

I've been going to Media Veterinary for a few years now, and have gone to other vets previously. Everyone at Media Vet including the doctors, techs, and front staff are always very friendly. We've seen several different doctors, and they have all been great and very knowledgeable. They are always willing to work with you and always have our furry family members' best interests at heart. Folks here are very nice and welcoming. My dog and I had a great experience. I was given a detailed information about the procedure my dog was undergoing and it was so helpful that the Vet called in the middle of the procedure to seek permission on additional treatment that was going to affect my bill. My dog is happier now and I will highly recommend this Vet hospital . Cheers

We adopted Sadie 2 1/2 weeks ago and had an appointment with Dr. Peters to have her checked out. Dr. Peters, as usual, was very thorough and attentive when examining Sadie. Sadie is in good health and heart worm negative. Dr. Peters has taken care of our pets previously and is definitely my "go to" Vet. I'm pretty new to the area and did some research before choosing a new Veterinary practice for my dog. I'm so impressed with how friendly and caring the staff are. Last week my dog had her first dental cleaning and ended up having three unexpected tooth extractions. The staff really helped to put us at ease carefully explained post care instructions. She is recovering really well. Highly recommend this practice! The staff alone are what keep us coming back.

Dr Peters is so thorough and really has great expertise in cats. She reviewed past records prior to our appointment and was prepared to exam and conduct essential tests for our cat's problem. In our first visit, I found the facility and staff to be highly professional, friendly and welcoming. Dr. Bender answered my questions, particularly about surgical teeth cleaning, concisely and with so much understandable detail that my concerns were fully addressed. Based on my friend's 30-year great experience with this practice and our excellent first appointment, I felt fully confident in scheduling Kat's dental procedure.
