They give us unconditional love but some days we just don't have the time to give them the attention they need and crave. For those days there is Bark Avenue.We provide a clean, fun place for your dog to socialize and play with other dogs (and humans) during weekday business hours. Simply drop your pet off and our friendly, dog-loving staff will take it from there.
Services
Our dog day care facility is located in North Wilmington, and our 3,200 square foot dog camp features every amenity your dog could dream of. The building provides ample space for play, games and quiet times. Safety is our #1 concern and every measure has been taken to assure that your pet is in a risk-free environment.
House-breaking and socializing a puppy is very important. If a puppy is taught these things early and consistently, he/she will grow into a happy, full-fledged member of your family. We can help. Bark Avenue accepts puppies as young as 8 weeks old, provided he/she has successfully completed a worming program.

So great to be back at Bark Avenue! We moved and started taking our Basset Hound to another day camp. Not sayin' nothin' but the name of the franchise rhymes with "Messed Ends" Rather than go into all the problems with them, I'd like to list just a few of the ways in which Bark Avenue distinguishes themselves from the aforementioned chain. 1. They recognized Ike (after a 3 year absence) and welcomed him back with great warmth and enthusiasm. 3. Their hours are much more convenient 4. When Ike is bathed or gets his nails trimmed (by Marydean) the work is noticeable. 4. Best of all the director and staff seem to genuinely enjoy the dogs! Bark Avenue is not fancy or pretentious, but we trust them implicitly to care for our "best friend."

I've been a customer here for 14 years, with 4 dogs over those years. My dogs have always loved this place, where they have lots of room to run around, lots of toys to play with, and people who truly love them and get to know each dog. They celebrate birthdays, Santa comes for Christmas pictures, and there is nothing better than Halloween at Bark Avenue! The staff is great, the place is spotless, and my dogs are nice and tired at the end of the day!

I started bringing my lil doggie here a few weeks ago and he loves this place. It took him a couple days to get used to it, but now he runs straight in. The owner is super friendly and tells you what your dog did that day--did he eat, if he recently went to the bathroom, who he played with, etc. Great doggy day care!

Love love this place. They take the time to answer questions n concerns. They get to know each dog they play with them and walk them. I love love love them! I've taken my dog to another day care and it's not structured plus my dog got sick each and every time I took her there. At bark avenue I don't have to worry. She is in GREAT hands. I will always recommend this place!

We took our 6 month old puppy to Bark Avenue yesterday for the first time since we had plans at night and wouldn't be able to play with her after work. Ben (the owner) was so great and really took his time explaining what our dog's day would be like, how they take care of the dogs, etc. and answering my laundry list of questions. When we picked up our pup, she was still playing, but thoroughly exhausted when we got home (just as we had hoped). We'll definitely be bringing our dog back, especially since the price is so reasonable.
