Rachelle Bailey Austin, CNWI (Certified Nose Work Instructor) dba About Face K-9 Academy has been teaching classes and providing behavior solutions for our best friends for 20 plus years and is educated and well-informed on the latest POSITIVE, PRACTICAL, & EFFECTIVE training techniques. We regularly attend continuing education seminars around the country to keep our training skills on the cutting edge. We strive to help our clients understand how and why their dogs think the way they do using reward-based training methods.
Services
In this class we will work on the puppies having a positive experience with other puppies and humans. We will work on basic skills such as: sit, down, stay, don't touch, come, go to bed, loose leash skills, owner/puppy handling skills, problem solving etc. All of the training is science / reward-based and positive!
It is not appropriate to contact or visit the trial location prior to the trial date, nor should training take place on trial grounds once an event is approved/announced. Our locations are real life search environments where people work, go to school, etc. Pre-trial contact or visits risk the host losing the opportunity to use the location again in the future.
Dogs were born to use their noses! This class will focus on building your dog's hunting skills and teach you, the handler how to read your dog. Our dogs are the best teachers in this activity! During this session we will work on searching containers and interiors. All dogs work one at a time. That allows dogs that aren't comfortable with other dogs to participate in class.

We took 3 training classes (basics, recall, and loose leash) and had one private training session with our pit bull Moose. He LOVES Rachelle, and her positive training worked wonders with his enthusiasm. The recall class was great, and I am able to recall him even in exciting situations like the dog park. We are very comfortable on leash and know many basic commands and a few tricks now. I can't imagine how much of a terror he would be without this training. Now his behavior is wonderful
