Our philosophy is simple: to care for others' pet companions, just as if they were our own. Thorough client communication is the hallmark of our philosophy of pet health advocacy. We believe every pet parent deserves to understand the options available in modern veterinary medicine. Everything you can imagine in human medical care is available for pets.
Dr. Sanzone was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She lives in Grafton with her husband, daughter, son, two dogs (Bo and Jun) and cat Prince. Her interests include dermatology, neurology, pain management, cytology, and preventive care.
Did you know that accreditation for animal hospitals is voluntary? Surprising, isn't it? Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Jan and her team were very accommodating, and my pup was well taken care of while we went out of town! I have a 9 month old lab who's a handful. I gave Jan his food/poop schedule and I was impressed with how much she listened and stuck to it. She asked me several questions to make sure she had all the details! I can tell they got him the proper amount of exercise, and he had no bad behaviors when he came back home (I've had bad experiences before where this was not the case). Her staff was kind, helpful and respectful. I definitely recommend Forever Friends!

I called several days in advance and made a 4pm appt. We arrived at 3:40 and were not greeted upon arrival by Amber, the receptionist. I approached the counter with the copies of my dogs' vet records as requested and waited for her to speak to me. She took the papers, laughed, and went to the business next door to copy them. While they have what appear to be several exam rooms, we were never shown to one and waited for the next hour and 20 minutes before anyone began charting our dogs.
There was a lobby cat and an unsupervised child who brought a kitten in from the crate of them outside. This coupled with the dogs coming in and out was a lot for my dogs to take in for more than an hour waiting. There was a vet, a vet tech, and the receptionist in the building but it seemed they all work in the same place at the same time rather than splitting up to be more efficient.
The receptionist rarely answered the phone to the point that a lady came in and asked if the phone weren't working. The lack of privacy due to the vet visiting each patients family in the lobby was astounding. I felt bad for a gentleman who began to cry over his 13 year old dogs status in front of the entire group of people waiting. We were finally seen at around 5, in the lobby just like everyone else.
At no point were prices discussed so I was shocked to finally cash out after 5:30 with a $630 bill. $50 of which were for vet examinations which were brief and mostly in the waiting room. They did take each dog to the back for their injection. We don't live in the area so we won't be back, but if you do I encourage you to try another spot.

Before I get into the review I would like to share my background of being involved with private practice veterinary medicine for over 25 years. The incident occurred on 11/14 and today is 11/18 as I want to make it known that this is being written with a level head. I remember (as a child) waiting after closing time for a client and patient to arrive for euthanasia and aftercare because that is the only time they could make it.
It was always sad, but my father's practice always accommodated because it is such a sad time for families. With that being said, the time came to put my 13 year old lab down. She had a rough bought with cancer and it was time. When I was told that the veterinarian had to be out at a certain time and that they couldn't even wait 15 minutes for me, I was shocked.
My dog was euthanized by a veterinarian in my residence and I just needed Forever Friends to provide after care service. I was charged $90.00 (which is fine I understand the financial aspect), but to make me help carry my dog in with a stretcher (No gurney available) while the veterinarian was sitting down screwing around on the computer, beyond disappointed.
I do not wish for this review to reflect the entire practice. The reception and techs are fantastic, but I am beyond disappointed with the current veterinarian. My father went to OSU Vet School with Dr. Forthofer and I have a difficult time believing that this is the future that Dr. Forthofer imagined for his practice.

A great experience every single time. I love going in the afternoon because the employees are giving belly rubs and having cuddle time with the pets. Our dog literally leaps from the car to get into facility. He doesn't even look back at us as we are checking him in. They offer grooming, vet services and outside activities Like a "beach". The employees love what they do and never fail to greet us with a Smile. Yoshi especially likes Matt and He warmed up to Rachel. We have used them 6 or 7 times. Will continue to come back!
