Animal Watchers is conveniently located along your drive between Sierra Vista and I-10. We are just 1/2 mile west of Route 90 on HWY 82 (440 W Highway 82), in the Whetstone Area. Mary began her dog career in the early 1980's, in Denver, Colorado. Realizing her true passion was dogs, she volunteered at the Denver Dumb Friends League as a dog walker. She quickly worked her way up to teaching obedience classes for them, and answering phone calls on their Dog Behavioral Help Line one of the best in the nation.

Services
Our boarding facilities well maintained and provide your pets with the highest level of comfort throughout there stay with us. Animal Watchers offers a variety of services within boarding as well. See our featured highlights below! Pre-boarding visits are welcome any time during our office hours, 7-10 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. daily.
We accept all breeds of dogs. We are firm believers that it is the environment in which the dog is raised that causes problems/aggression, not the breed. However, you must notify us of any dog behavior problems your dog has. Dog-aggressive dogs are usually not a problem. We have several runs with high walls so your dog will not become stimulated by another dog.
Cats are kept in a separate area away from the dogs. We have several cat condos that are from floor to ceiling with lots of cubbyholes and climbing opportunities. We also have smaller condos available for shorter visits. Personal Belongings: You may bring whatever belongings you feel will make your cat comfortable.
We can provide lodging and care for your birds, hamsters, and some other small animals. However, due to their individual needs they must register in their own cages. To avoid upsetting their delicate digestive systems, we ask that you also bring along their own diet and litter. Daily prices vary depending upon the amount of care each animal needs and if you are boarding any other pets at the same time. Please call for pricing.

Took my dog here about two years ago. Left her toy, her medication, and her bed with them. When we returned she had some kind of abrasion on her nose, her bark was raspy (not so concerned about this since she's a very vocal dog), she had not been given her medication, and her bed was given to another dog. The only thing she was given was the food I ledt and her toy.

Animal Watchers are the BEST! We having been boarding with them since 2010. They are professional and Conscientious. Their location is perfect for anyone going to Tucson Airport as it on the way. Just a 1/2 mile from Rte 90. Just Perfect! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, now, that we board. Our last boarding, our deceased dog was very ill and Animal Watchers took care of her while we were gone.
She actually was better when we returned. We credit Mary and her employees for this turn around that gave us another 3 weeks with her. Our dogs are always excited when I turn in to Animal Watchers yard- They know they going on vacation and that they be happy & safe, just as we know they'll be happy & safe. The cats reaction- they're cats what more can be said! Animal Watchers are the BEST!
