Services
North Reading Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local referral hospitals when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at North Reading Veterinary Clinic, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.
North Reading Veterinary Clinic provides you with a full library of pet medical information from the Veterinary Information Network. VIN is the world's first and largest online veterinary community, where new articles are added weekly by the experts at VIN to make sure that our readers have the most current veterinary information available.

Moved recently to the area, very happy I was able to get a last-minute appointment for what turned out to be a double ear infection. Dr and vet techs were all very nice and calm with my anxious boy and offered to clip his nails when I mentioned how he hates it. even though it was right at their closing time on Saturday. Seems like they go above and beyond. We will def be back!

I have going to this practice for over 13 years. I took my dog there last night she is 12, an old scared dog. Usually the techs just work with letting me hold her while they do their thing. This time the tech goes in and bear hugs her startling her so she gave a warning cry and snap. She never even tried to make contact. This dog has been going there since she was a puppy she has never snapped or bitten anyone.
The vet insisted she be muzzled in her 12 years of life she never has been muzzled she was extremely frightened and this tech is bear holding her as she is screaming in pain. Vet had no bedside manner just said he isn't hurting her while I was clearly crying as well. I will not be returning!

My cat went in four days ago for his bloodwork and a test to see what he has going on with his nose. I told them he has a sinus infection because I get them all the time. When they did the test for his nose, the tech and doctor NEVER told me that it would take 3-5 business days! My cat has been pouring green snot and sneezing like there's no tomorrow and starting to have a hard time breathing.
When I called, two days in a row, there was still no results. I've had enough! I'm going to start going to Bulgers animal hospital. A REAL vet with people that know what they are doing!
