Pet Spa And Resort

We needed day care for our two dog Gs while we attended my mother-in-law's funeral. Pet Spa did an awesome job and since it was our first time with them it was even free! We dropped off the dogs that morning and picked them up that afternoon happy and tired.

Autumn, my labradoodle, gets so excited when I take her to Pet Spa. She seems to love all of the employees. When she comes home, she's pretty tired so I know she got her workout. The socializing has helped her calm down around other dogs and humans.

My dog has always been well cared for.it could be for just a playday visit for socialization or when we vacation. He has so much fun and I am pleased that his day is shared with me at pick up. The caregivers (staff) are attentive to my dog's specific needs and are quick to interact with each pet in the many play yards. The management team is friendly and professional, and it's so easy to drop off and pick up my pup. He is always happy to play at The Pet Spa and Resort.

Overall the Pet Spa has been my go to for doggy day care and pet grooming. They have had some issues with COVID which has made them less then perfect. But they care about my dogs and are very respectful!

We used the petspa for years. New owners with a less personal approach to guests took over a few years back. And there are a lot of complaints on FB too. They don't really interact with the dogs, just grab a leash and go. They lost an amazing groomer. It is a corporate feel and not the pet loving staff previous who knew our dogs personality. We gave it a shot, but found an amazing family run boarding facility that is way better.

I thought I had found a gem but in the end I found pure disappointment and frustration. I left my three dogs for 5 days and upon driving away from the kennel do I get a call that kennel cough has been reported at their facility. Well. WHAT DO I DO NOW? No phone call ahead of time to warn me or give me a chance to re-think my plans. So I pray and continue on my vacation. Next, I get a call on the 2nd day of my vacation that the person administering medicine is new and accidently allowed my little (14lb) dog ingest my older dog's medicine (3x his body weight) and is now on the way to urgent care vet.

The next 24 hours were heart wrenching as we called the vet constantly to get updates since our small dog has seizures and the medicine he ingested can be lethal combination. During this time, NOT ONE CALL from the Kennel to say "Sorry" or just to check on us. I understand mistakes happen, I get that but I do not get the lack of compassion and caring for the customer.

To boot, earlier before the phone call I asked for a picture of the dogs because I missed them and was told it would be an additional $5.00, I was leaving 3 dogs for 5 nights and I couldn't get a FREE picture of them? So, upon picking them up they offered me 2 nights free that our small dog was in the vet only.still no apology only a "Boy, does that little dog have an iron stomach" comment.

And now, that same small dog has kennel cough on top of all of it. I warn you all that you should think twice before using.the customer service is lacking and therefore I question how well my dogs were cared for in general. TRULY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!

My friends recently brought their dog here and the poor thing received kennel cough. Unfortunately my dogs were in contact with hers and they also have it now too, i rushed them over to the highlands vet in sparta. For such a reputable place you'd think they'd be sanitizing place. Hamburg vet clinic also informed us that 4 other cases came from this place!

She called to inform The Pet Spa & Resort of our dogs getting sick and they replied by saying they had informed her of the outbreak prior to her boarding her animal (Which they did not)! Who in their right might would leave them there knowing theyve had a recent out break of kennel cough. You leave your pets in a place you deem safe, hope their taken care of, and come back healthy. So not only do you pay to keep them their but now you have to pay vet bills because they failed to keep the place clean and they DID NOT compensate her. SHAME ON YOU

Left my dogs with them for one week. Apparently kennel cough was going around- they failed to notify or even attempt to notify us and both of my dogs now have pneumonia - DESPITE having ALL SHOTS! This place won't answer and have not closed their doors despite knowing what is going around their filthy facility. I've had to hire an attorney to ensure they are held accountable for the result of their disgusting mishandling of my family.

The sheer disregard of the health and safety of my dogs is disgraceful. If you have reservations any time in JULY 2021 PLEASE RECONSIDER FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR BELOVED PET(S)!

We picked up our dogs who both have been fully vaccinated and now have kennel cough and are very sick. No one told us they had an outbreak or that our dogs were exposed. Very poor communication they wouldn't answer me all week I was away. They lied to me saying they sent out an email which me nor my other girlfriend got. She also boarded her dogs there. Very untrustworthy people. And to still not receive a phone call is very disheartening.

I would definitely not recommend. I'm a new client, I brought my 6 1/2 month old Chihuahua mix there for what I thought was daycare. When I arrived I was greeted by a person who didn't even introduce herself and wasn't welcoming. My little pup was scared with all the barking so I asked to see the inside. She would not allow me inside because they were cleaning.

She had to practically drag my puppy in. I texted an hour and half after drop off at 7am. Response time lagged a bit but said she's fine and playing with another puppy. I requested photos on another request and they never obliged. No updates provided. I decided to get my puppy out of there. Had a not so good feeling. When I arrived I wanted to enter, I mean I AM paying for a service, providing them with business only to be stopped at the gate by another unnamed person who said she can bring my puppy out to me.

I said I would like to come in and SEE where she is. Again, I'm paying for your service. Giving you my business. The "puppy" room was very small. Maybe 6-7 feet wide and MAYBE 7 1/2 feet long. Ceramic flooring. One raised bed. And about 10-12 dogs crammed in this room. I didn't notice any toys. Two little Lhasa Apso dogs were huddled in a corner scared to death.

None of them were playing. They were all anxiously waiting by the door. There was pee on the floor which makes me think they were not even outside? It smelt and the one no name girl looked annoyed she had to go in and mop it up. There was a small row of indoor kennels. Some dogs were out in this heat hopefully there was water but again, no supervision.

I was not provided any updates, no report card, no pictures of her playing so it's obvious she wasn't playing much. I brought a toy which I never got back, whatever the poor sad dogs there needed a toy. Clearly my puppy wasn't fed a snack that I also brought because she was very hungry when I got her home at 2. My puppy has a scratch or what looks like a bite above her right eye, and is missing some fur.

Clearly there was zero supervision. Since I brought her home she has been crying. I'm disgusted on the unprofessionalism, the incompetence of these two people. Will not be going back and should get a refund. DO NOT bring your dogs there unless you want them smelling like piss or brought home with anxiety issues or some other problem. Worst business owners ever. If I could rate this lower than 1 star they would get a -10.

Love this place I bring Nina, Jerry and Maggie every time I go away! They are always well cared for and bathed! The staff is friendly and always make you feel like part of their team

Awesome place. Allison was Amazing! Cannot say enough good things about her or this place! You can tell that she and the rest of the staff really love the animals they are taking care of. Plus we got pics throughout our vacation on facebook!

We love the pet spa! We have been bringing our "kids" Molly, Jackson & Tucker here for years now. They truly care about them & are soooooo good to them. Our kids come home well cared for. I highly recommend this facility for all you pet needs

What can I say? They are a second family to our Pepper pup and to us as well. She loves loves loves her playtime with all the wonderful employees and her doggie friends. Don't even hesitate to take your pet there - they are truly wonderful!

A wonderful place for pups but so sad that they increased prices over the years. Can not justify $200-300 to have pet taken care of when on vacation. Price point means we looked to other options and family and made it work. Baths are done well and dog enjoyed his stay every time. Just priced themselves out of a few customers.

We bring our golden retriever for grooming and boarding. Everyone is super nice and she is always well taken care of. Antonio does a great job with baths and there's no appointment needed for a quick nail trim. Plenty of space to run and play and a clean comfy place to rest. It really is a vacation for our fur baby!

Clean facility, professional, friendly staff. Everyone makes a fuss over your dog. My dog runs into the dog area without hesitation. Recommend.

I have been taking my bulldog for about a month now to daycare and he absolutely loves it! He is so excited once I turn into their driveway to drop him off! They give him the special attention and care that he needs; especially with his allergies. We walk in and they know my bully's name and are so happy to see him! It is great knowing that while I'm at work my furchild is having fun and being cared for.

I love seeing his photo of him playing with other dogs on their Facebook page. I have also been getting him groomed there by Antonio and he is great with his special needs! He always looks handsome and smells great after his bath!

Been bringing my bulldog here for the past couple weeks, he loves it here, they give him the special attention he needs during the day why I'm at work, the girls are always pleased with him, always taken photos of him, he loves to play with other dogs, I will be bringing him in every chance I can.

This is the first time for the grooming services Bodie and I were very happy with the care and results. We will return next summer. Three years ago I used their boarding service too, Bodie didn't complain much then either.

Be careful with them - My pup stayed there and when I brought River in, they asked if they should bathe her - "Sure, why not!" What they neglected to tell me was that it was $30! When I complained the snotty woman at the front desk (the worker was nicer) said it's on their website - Which is great, unless your wife is the one who made the appointment but I'm the one who brought her in (in other words, I never looked at the website) They certainly owe it to you to mention how much it is Needless to say, I wont be returning.

I really wanted to like this place. It has a lot of out door space. I know my dog, and I know that she may not always get along with other dogs, but when I asked they told me she was fine. I continued to ask because I know that she was most likely not fine. The woman at the counter said she was aggressive and only played with one dog, then proceeded to say she was a little "b****". Like I said I know my dog is not perfect, but she still has cuts from the muzzle they put on her, and neglected to tell me they had done that.

A wonderful place for boarding your furry family member. Hershey has boarded here several times and always comes back healthy and exhausted from playing. They have a ton of space that is fenced in for running around and playing and keep a good eye on the dogs. You can bring your own food if your dog has problems adjusting, but ours has always been fine. They even post pictures and videos on Facebook so you can see how everyone is doing. We always trust them with Hershey on a long trip.
