We have three doctors on our team, Dr. Todd Leavitt, Dr. Margaret McDougall, and Dr. Kevin Landorf. They are all wonderful and talented veterinarians. Please feel free to stop in and meet them some time. We feel that being part of the Oakwood Hills team increases our ability to bring a high standard of excellent care to your furry family members. Dr. Charlie Arntson, former owner, will still help out on occasion. We look forward to a relationship with all of you and are excited about all new adventures ahead.

Kindness Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Chippewa Falls, Hallie and Eau Claire WI areas for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is staffed by Dr. Charlie Arntson and Dr. Margaret McDougall who are licensed, caring, compassionate and experienced veterinarians. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. We have a veterinarian who is trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has.
My name is Dr. Charlie Arntson. I am a 1968 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. I spent the first several years practicing in Minnesota. In 1975-76 I was fortunate enough to spend time practicing in Africa. Upon my return, I continued my veterinary career in Minnesota until 1990 when I purchased Kindness Animal Hospital and moved to Chippewa Falls.

Dr McDougall is wonderful. She goes the extra distance that so many other vets do not. She contacts other specialists to discuss complex cases and issues that she has not previously dealt a lot. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Facilities are clean and smell clean (no unpleasant pet smells). This is a smaller vet clinic that has within the last few years combined with Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital, though they are a separate facility.
I have actually decided to switch my dogs over to Kindness rather than continuing to drive to Oakwood because of Dr McDougall. She listens to the owners' thoughts and experiences with prior pets with what appears to be the same illness. She takes those into consideration and offers her opinion and goes from there. She is very willing to work with owners to accommodate the best needs of the pets. I highly recommend Kindness Animal Hospital.

The dental care our Viszla received was amazing.she needed 2 broken molars removed. We were able to fit into a cancelation. The vets kept us informed during the surgery and after with info for future care. They answered every question and took the time to make sure our girl was healthy. I am looking forward to a great relationship between their vets and our two spoiled viszlas.

I can't say enough good things about Kindness Animal Hospital. Everything, from the time they pick up the phone until your visit is over is a great experience! My 13 year old Cairn Terrier has had multiple surgeries and exams with Dr Margaret and every time I have felt like my boy was in the most capable hands. Kind, caring, responsive, empathetic, reliable, professional, knowledgeable. the list goes on. Highly recommend!
