Naturally, as a cat grows and progresses through life, he or she will undergo physiological changes and face a variety of life events that will require care and attention. From kitten care to geriatric cat medicine, consistent preventive care can make all the difference in the quality of life of your cat.
At Hallett Veterinary Hospital, we understand that feline cancer is a devastating diagnosis. It is natural to feel highly emotional. However, a cat cancer diagnosis is not necessarily a hopeless one. Depending upon how early it is identified and the type of cancer involved, there are certainly options that can lead to very positive outcomes.
A cat's heart has four chambers. The two upper chambers are called the atrium (plural atria), and the lower chambers are called the ventricles. Additionally, the heart has a right and left side, each containing one atrium and one ventricle. Blood is stored in the right atrium momentarily until being pumped into the right ventricle.

The staff and service were amazing! The facility was nice and they were extremely helpful with answering questions and providing care! I have used numerous vets based on where I lived over the course of 10yrs. I have experienced a range of prices but nothing of this magnitude. I was extremely disappointed in the pricing. My dog just had the basic exam and an x ray of her back leg.
The total was $444.00. The xray alone was $300. For a basic scan and exam this is astronomical in my experience. I do not know if it is because it is in Oconomowoc or what but it is on the extreme high end for pricing when it comes to vets. I went to a diff vet around Thanksgiving because my 100 plus pound lab got injured by a big stick that got lodged in the soft tissue under his tongue/lower jaw area.
It went completely into that skin and tissue under there. They had to do xrays and a full blown surgery to extract the stick and pull out all the little pieces lodged into that area. This was all done as an emergency at night on a holiday that went well past bussiness hours. They took him in immediately and got it done right away. That entire vet bill came out to $635.04!
That price included everything, basic exam, xrays, surgery, surgeon fee, anesthesia, IV fluids, supplies, stitches, intubation, pain medication, and medication for infection and pain to take home. For $191.04 more, my dog got a full surgery. The xray at Hallet cost almost the exact same as the entire surgical procedure by itself at the other vet and I can't seem to understand how the pricing is so far apart.
I really loved the staff and how amazing, kind, helpful, and accomodating they were but I just would not be able to afford this type of care for any of my pets. I wish this place was more affordable for your average person but it isn't, unfortunately. If your looking for a nice vet and cost isn't a big factor, this place is very good. I really wish this place was more affordable because it is a really great facility with an amazing staff!

We took our new puppy, Dottie, to Hallett after seeing the great reviews online. They totally lived up to them! Dottie can be a little timid, and they could not have been nicer, more supportive, and sweet to our pup. As new puppy owners, they gave us so much helpful info - the vet tech, Lindsay, answered every neurotic question I had with kindness and helpfulness.
From the front desk staff to our wonderful vet, everyone was great, and made us feel very welcome and happy we picked them. Definitely taking Dottie back there as a regular patient!

Simply put, Hallet Vet is the best vet. We have used Hallet for the last couple of years for our two adopted cats and our newly adopted husky mix. We still make the drive here even after moving ~30 minutes away. Every single time they greet us with smiling faces and even remember our animals names. The reception/desk staff is always very friendly both when calling with questions and checking in and out.
The technicians are GREAT! Kayla (or the cheese lady as our pup knows her as) has been our tech the last few visits and is always very informative, professional, kind, patient, etc. Every other tech we have gotten has also been very kind. The doctors are always very friendly, respectful and informative. (We usually get Dr. Rachel and she is GREAT!) They aren't "pushy" like some other vets are always offering multiple options on tests and medications if some are more expensive than the other.
The techs and doctors are always very gentle with our animals and do a great job calming them (and us humans) during uncomfortable things like shots, blood drawing, tests etc. The wife and I both agree that when we go to Hallet it really isn't a chore, it's always a great time! (weird thing to say about a vet, I know.) I hope this review helps spread good word, if you are looking for a new vet this is the one!

I brought my dog here after he was cut open at the dog park. They put him under for stitches and have taken care of him for 3 weeks after! Everyone has been extraordinarily friendly and helpful during my dog's recovery. In addition, they took the time to explain everything and always made sure all of my questions were answered. I would highly recommend Hallett! Our pup is all better thanks to them!

Hallett Vet has been taking care of my two pride and joys since they were puppies. They are super friendly when you walk in. Whenever I have a question I can call them instead of reading 10 different solutions on Google. One of my huskys is very scared around things he doesn't know and they are always very patient with him, making sure we can keep him as relaxed as possible.
The techs and doctors always follow up with exams to make sure everything is going okay and to see if there are still concerns or questions. Absolutely love this place, HIGHLY recommend!
