Services
Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
For the safety of the pets in our care and for our own personal safety we require proof of rabies vaccination. We require that puppies have their first two sets of shots before they are groomed. We share this building with Carolina Place Animal Hospital and HIGHLY RECOMMEND that your pet be current on ALL vaccinations. All employees have been trained to spot the signs of excessive stress during the grooming process.
Generally we ask for 2-3 hrs for a bath, 4-5 hrs for hair cutting or deshedding treatments. We offer ASAP appointments where your dog is worked straight through without any down time spent in a kennel. These generally take an hour or two depending on the dog and the service. There is a $20 fee. All services include nail trimming, ear cleaning(plucking if needed),a nal gland expression and sanitary shaving.

I have been taking our Great Dane to Poochie's to have her nails trimmed weekly for over 1.5 years now. Eve, the owner, and Columbia are always pleasant and very professional. Everyone there treats all of the pets there waiting to be groomed with such care and love. Izzy, our Great Dane, loves going there every Fri or Sat. She walks in an immediately hops up on the table for Columbia to do her nails. I would highly recommend Poochie's for any pet owner looking for grooming services.

Very disappointed in my visit here. I thought I was going there to get my doggo a trim. My instructions were to leave all hair on top of his head alone and dont cut his back hair too short. I wanted the legs and butt shorter than his entire body but not shaved. I repeated not to cut the hair on his head twice. They did a good job cutting his nails but thats it.
It's almost like she cut his hair how she wanted to and disregarded everything i said. My dog cried the whole ride home and I dont blame him. A "three hour appointment" turned into 20 minutes and the amount of effort shows.

**Edit to add response to owner*** When speaking on the phone our appointment was scheduled for 1pm as my girlfriend and I have work and no one would've been able to take our dog at 11am. I'm not saying there couldn't have been a typo mistake to adjust this to 11am but we confirmed for 1pm. We also had been here two other times before and are apart of the app, we have been called before by the groomers to confirm appointments and pick up our dogs with absolutely no issue.
There's no reason we couldn't have been reached. Its one thing to make a mistake, it's another thing to completely lie. My girlfriend also provided her phone number upon scheduling the appointment. My girlfriend also called at 12:55pm and left her name and phone number when she found that you guys were closed. She never even received a phone call back.
I wouldn't say every effort was made, I would say barely any effort was made. My girlfriend has been taking our two dogs here for the last couple of months. The first time we took our dog lily here and Lisa did an absolutely amazing job on her, which prompted us to come back. The next time we took our dog Charlie, we found out Lisa no longer worked there so we gave another groomer a shot.
His haircut was awful and his nails were poorly cut. We were also charged significantly more and were really upset. We still wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt so we got lily in for today at 1pm. They were closed when arriving at 12:50pm. No call, no emails, no notifications of being closed or reaching out to reschedule. Groomers in this area are booked out months in advance, so now we're looking elsewhere for our dog when we really needed to get her groomed today. Very disappointing and just unreliable groomers. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

I am very upset at how my Goldendoodle haircut turned out, he is no longer a Goldendoodle he looks like a shaved shitzu. I asked for a small trim and I understand he has knots but I believe the groomer went way overboard. They even shaved the top of his nose and I know my dog did Not have a knot on top of his nose parts of his hair on his legs were even shaved.
I will not be returning to this place, I am beyond disappointed. This is not how my first visit went, the first time my puppy got the haircut I had requested, I'm not sure what happened this 2nd time. I would not recommend bringing your dog here for a trim or cut. I really wanted to like this salon after reading the reviews and it being a short drive from home. The two ladies there were very nice but the groomer did not do what I asked. I specifically stated that I wanted my baby's hair cut a little shorter but to leave her fluffy. We went over the hair lengths on the chart and I chose the appropriate one. When I picked my girl up all of her hair was cut off.
It literally looks like she was given a buzz cut. There was no fluff to her at all. I specifically said a puppy cut. I now have to wait for her hair to grow back in for the fullness I wanted to keep. She's even acting as if she knows something is different. Instead of making a scene I paid for the service and left. I did not get the service I requested. Sadly we will not be back.
