The Animal Clinic is a full-service mixed animal practice located in Hastings, Nebraska. We are proud to serve multiple communities in south central Nebraska. Our hospital offers a full range of services for your companion animals, including routine wellness, medicine, surgery and dentistry. We are also a full service boarding facility, including medical boarding.We treat every patient as if they are our own and pride ourselves in building lasting relationships with our clients. We also offer production animal services for cattle, swine and small ruminants as well as routine equine medicine.

Services
No matter what life stage your pet is in we are here to care for them, and a wellness exam does just that. We perform a complete physical exam from head to toe. Checking for any abnormalities, heartworms, parasites, and updating vaccinations. We prefer to see you and your pets at least once a year to further your education and help prevent illness.
When you haul your cattle into us, we only use the best. Our Silencer hydraulic chute is known to fit almost any size of cattle you bring. We also now have a hydraulic adjustable Daniels Manufacturing alleyway made to adjust to big bulls or small calves. For those calves too small, we do have a calf alleyway and table for spring time work.
We do provide routine equine medicine, but we do not offer advanced care. We will do everything we can to care for your equine partner and are more than willing to refer you on to specialists that can better assist in your horse's care. An annual check up for your equine partner is a great idea at any age.
Our boarding facility has three different types of kennels for your dog's stay. All varying in size and style, there's sure to be one that will fit your fury friends' needs when they stay with us. Our back yard exercise area is a fully fenced in grass yard. We do only allow dogs to run off leash if permission is given, and only by themselves or with dogs of the same family.

They were my vet for my first pet over the last 17 years. There were times when I thought it was the end, and Dr. Werner and Dr. Overmiller both tried other things rather than simply putting him down. Because of their caring and insight, I was given another two years with my sweet boy before they finally said it was time. with my new puppy, they gave me lots of tips and information about raising him. They gave him a thorough check up with great explanations. I just feel safe with my dog going there!

Ashley Scherbarth was amazing with our rat terrier Lydia. She was up all night with a stomach problem and stood on her little four legs all night. Ashley and the team took great care of her the next day and when she had to stay overnight I knew she was in great hands. When my wife went to get Lydia she said Lydia acted like she wanted to stay with Ashley. Thank You so much and Lydia is doing great!

I've been taking my dog to Animal Clinic for about 7 years now and I like it. They have a great front staff and the techs and vets are always awesome! They always make me feel better about how loud my dog can be when they have to give him shots or trim his nails (he's a miniature husky and VERY vocal) and that's the other nice thing, they offer grooming services like nail trims which is great because I know Beau can be a bit nippy and because of that some of the groomers in Hastings won't take him.
Up until they told me they offer nail trims I had to attempt to do them myself or let them grow out which was not favorable. I'd recommend Animal Clinic to anyone looking for a vet.
