PSA: This morning I witnessed an employee or owner of Rainwater Kennels whip a dog several times while he was outside with the dog. I drove by the first time and noticed him watching me drive by so I watched him out of my rearview mirror because I thought it was strange, as soon as I passed I watched him whip the dog several times. After dropping my son off I took the same way to work and witnessed the same exact thing happen, this time I was being more vigilant to make sure that's what I seen, there was two cars ahead of me and again he watched us carefully as we passed by and then as soon as we passed he took the dogs leash and whipped the dog a good 3-4 times.
I have reported the issue to the Humane Society but after talking to them it didn't seem like they were going to do much. I just wanted to make this post to make everyone is aware of what goes on there just incase anyone on here is taking their dog there

I took my two dogs that I absolutely love and had to leave out of town on an emergency. the older lady was there when I dropped them off. and I didn't feel like it was a good place but trusted her. when it's time to come for my dogs the lady isn't there I was waiting there for an hour and she decides to take a 2 hour lunch and by the time she come its like 2:00 and when I went in it stinker so bad, I honestly think they don't do a good job I felt bad for the other dogs, bad customer service I shouldn't have to wait so long to get my dogs and it was just a hassle to see when I could pick them up. there should be a person there all day or at least 2 people working to switch not good. and when I came for them my dogs were frightened if you love your dogs or pet yous shouldn't bring them there

My dog and I both LOVED this place! I was skeptical on this stay because I was unable to visit the business before dropping my dog off for one night when I traveled to Nebraska for a wedding. Typically I read all reviews, visit the boarding facility and also need a reference before trusting anyone with my dog. When I dropped off my dog (who is often more critical of people than me) she must have sensed how friendly the owner was. Amie the owner/operator comforted and relaxed my dog who has severe separation anxiety and arranged for an after hours pick up on Sunday. The prices were reasonable, she cut my dogs nails at no charge and was very flexible on our critical Sunday off hours pickup. Thank you Amie!
