The San Mateo Dog Training Club is a licensed member of the American Kennel Club and we have been teaching dog training classes to the public since 1957. We offer classes from puppy all the way through the most advanced classes in competition obedience, Rally and conformation. All classes take place in our spacious, fully-matted and insulated training building in San Carlos. No matter the age or breed of your dog, we can help you forge a closer bond with your companion through training together as a team.

Classes Report

Class sessions are six weeks in length and meet at our training hall at 595 Taylor Way, Unit 2, San Carlos CA 94070. See Below for specific class information. Discounts are offered to returning students: 10% for returning students and 50% for those going to a new competition level (such as Intermediate to Novice, etc.).

Took my two dogs for dog training. The staff and volunteers were really nice and knew their stuff. They were able to suggest tips and tricks to correct all sorts of dog behavior. I went to get my dog to heel better but we came away with learning a lot more.

I'm so thankful our family found this Club! Everyone has been so nice, helpful and we've learned so much! The classes are perfect size so you get one on one help and work as a group! It is very clean and well maintained! We highly recommend them!

Non experience trainers always switching off. Never staying with the same thing. Talk more about themselves about the dogs being trained will not ever recommend this location. Well travel hundreds of miles to stay away from it. Place is a bad place. Bad trainers

Great place for teaching your pup. Fantastic trainers that care a lot about you pet, positive training and they cover everything from simply teaching them to sit and lie down to teach them proper etiquette of entering a building with you not by dragging you through it. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great training experience for themselves and their dog.

It's probably a good idea to let everyone know, you have to have a title on your dog to teach. This ensures the instructor knows what they are teaching.
