A Pets Best Friend

Dawn took fabulous care of our bunnies. It's not very easy to find a sitter of her caliber who will look after rabbits, so we feel very lucky having found her. She is experienced, reliable, and leaves detailed notes from her daily visits.

Dawn is great! We first hired Dawn when we were getting married and all of our family members were out of town with us. It was our first time hiring a pet sitter and we were nervous. But she impressed us from the time we met! She came to our house on a weekend to meet our cat and talk with us. She got all the necessary details and when the wedding got closer, all I had to do was bring her my house key :-) We just used her again for a few days and again, she was great!

My stepmom dropped in to visit our cat while we were gone (she adores him) and ran into Dawn (sorry Dawn!). She really liked her as well! Dawn kept to the schedule and job despite and unexpected visitor! And the cat got TWO visitors that day! She leaves a detailed report card on the counter and we love coming home to see how our cat did! I also got a text message from her on day 1 that said, "Ziggins says meow". How cute! We really trust her and we're so glad we found her! Dawn, I promise to micro-manage less now that we've gotten familiar with how great you are!;-)

Dawn did a wonderful job helping with our cat during our one week away. She left detailed notes following each visit, and when we came back, the cat was totally fine and well taken care of. We are very happy with Dawn and A Pet's Best friend, would recommend it and would definitely use it again.

This is a long overdue review for Dawn and her services as she has helped care for our lot of three cats on more than one occasion. She is a super attentive and reliable caregiver. As another reviewer mentioned, she leaves a very detailed note log following each visit which I always really appreciate reading when I return home. Our oldest cat was not the friendliest in her final years, and we always worried about her behavior while we were gone. Dawn was super understanding of her situation, and it made us feel better knowing that she and the other two were in the care of someone as experienced and caring as Dawn.

I just want to update this by saying I still use Dawn and she's still awesome and she continues to write me awesome, detailed notes about how the cats were each day I was gone, who came out for a cuddle, who was feeling shy, etc. She is truly a person I can count on and have absolute trust in. She even brought my mail in and alerted me to a small leak coming out of one of my faucets. She. Is. Awesome. And a true pet lover.

Dawn has an amazing love for animals. She knows what is best for them and will take care of your pets as if you were home doing it yourself. She is very dedicated and you can count on her. Her calendar fills up fast because she is in high demand. You will find her prices reasonable and she is trustworthy.

I personally have a cat that she's cared for over the years, but I also know dog owners who rave about her as well. It just doesn't get any better than coming home from an extended time away and find my kitty happy and content.

We have used Dawn's service for over 16 years. She is reliable and trust worthy and a delight to talk with. She loves animals and is very careful to find out what each pet needs. She feeds the scrub jays and the pond fish as well as taking care of the cats. We enjoy coming home and reading her notes about what the 'girls' were up to while we were away. Dawn from A Pet's Best Friend watched my 3 cats while my husband and I were away. She took careful notes on each of the cats everyday and I can tell she spent time with them based on the notes we received. She seems to have gotten to know each of their personalities. She even went out of her way to make sure she found our very shy cat on her visits.

The litter boxes were well scooped and the water and foods topped off on our return. Before the trip, she did a detailed consultation. It was very professional and I could tell she has a lot of experience doing this. She brought references, proof of insurance and other paperwork. I was pleased to know that she does medication (even sub-q fluids) if necessary.

The consultation is thorough so you know things will be covered in your absence. She is very knowledgeable about cats and they seem to like her! We will definitely be using her in the future and I recommend her as a professional, caring, and affordable pet sitter.

We just recently moved to the peninsula and needed someone to mind out cat while we were on vacation. We usually rely on friends and family, but since we are new in town we did not have that option. She is very professional (she came prepared with letters of reference, certificates of bond and insurance, etc), appears to genuinely love animals (especially cats) and made me feel relaxed and confident that my cat was in good hands. She even wrote a daily journal of her visits with my cat, took out the garbage, etc. which was a big help. Also, her rates are very reasonable compared to other pet sitting services I researched.
