PCOTC's training facility is located in White Plains, NY-though the club began in Port Chester, NY in 1940. Completely volunteer run, our club aims at encouraging people and dogs to excel in all manner of skills. Our Family Manners training program aims to produce well-behaved dogs that are welcome in the family and the community. We also train in the competitive dog sports of Agility, Obedience, Rally, and K9 Nose Work, with some additional specialties such as disc dog, canine musical freestyle and breed handling.

PCOTC is an AKC Member Club, started in 1940 in Port Chester, NY but now located in White Plains, NY, near Exit 6 from I-287. The club includes basic training for puppies and dogs-which we call "Family Manners"-along with training in dog sports, including K9 Nose Work, Obedience, Rally, Agility, and some other specialties such as Therapy Dog training.
PCOTC recommends all dogs start their training by attending Family Manners Foundation (for dogs 5 months and older), even if they have begun training at home or taken classes elsewhere. In this class, owners will learn to use dog-friendly training methods as they teach their pets to sit, lie down, wait, walk on a loose leash, come when called and more.
Port Chester Obedience Training Club's Family Manners program is based on our belief that training a dog should be a fun, enjoyable experience for all parties, whether your goal is a well-mannered family pet or an obedience champion. For puppies and dogs of all ages, Family Manners classes help to build a happy, lasting bond, and a harmonious relationship between dog and owner.

I have tried instructors, classes and dog training clubs all over Rockland County and North Bergen County for the over 25 years I have owned dogs here. PCOTC has the largest variety of courses with instructors who are actively involved in their discipline. I have not yet experienced any course where instructors were teaching by rote, and some who have helped motivate me to get to a level of competition I would never have imagined.

I have been training at PCOTC for several years now and have really enjoyed my experience there. The trainers I have worked with in agility are extremely knowledgeable and have really helped me build my connection and relationship with my dog. I'm grateful for a great local club that allows me to continue to grow in the sport, and for the opportunity I've had to work with different styles of trainers. I also have really enjoyed the half-day seminars there! Definitely check out this club!

I have been taking my dog to PTOTC since he was a puppy. The have been wonderful! My dog is shy and they have been very helpful in making him comfortable in class and raising his confidence level. The instructors are great and the classes are a lot of fun. Training my dog at PTOTC has really enhanced my life and my pups!

Great variety of classes to get you & your dog engaged & connected. Who knew there were so many activities to keep your dog physically & mentally stimulated and challenged! From obedience, agility, rally, nose work, & pet therapy training, PCOTC has got it all for both the novice & experienced, all taught by a host of highly-skilled instructors.

We miss you, so glad the club is opened again. My husband and I have been been students at the Port Chester Obedience Training Club for the past 5 years. We have taken everything from puppy class to advanced courses in competitive K9 sports. Teachers are wonderful. Fellow students are great. The club is clean and never smells like "dog". We have done well with our dog and her training at Port Chester Obedience Training Club. Just look at our little girl and what she has been able to accomplish in only 2 years of training.

I am so happy to have found this club. I started classes here with my new Puppy and she has grown and developed ever since. They have a variety of classes they offer and the location is convenient to all in Westchester and The Bronx. I'm looking to become a member so plan to stay with them for the long run.
