Services
Black Dog K9 is dedicated to helping dogs and their guardians live together in harmony and nourishing the natural bond between them. Every year millions of dogs are euthenized in the United States. Some of these dogs are homeless or abandoned but many are given up because of behavior problems. These dogs are misunderstood and could become loving family members with proper training.
The Black Dog K-9 Rescue Project was started to help shelters place dogs into loving, lifetime homes. We help adopters find the right dog for their family, test dogs, perform professional dog to dog introductions and much more. At times Black Dog fosters these dogs and assumes the cost of their care in order to get to know them and help them through the transition from shelter to forever homes. At Black Dog K9 we believe in helping homeless pets. We urge you to support the work of Sertoma Centre.
This special training is done in your home and can incorporate other family dogs who are healthy and have a history of friendly behaviors with other dogs. Class covers all 10 components of the American Kennel Club CGC certification. At the conclusion of the class students will be offered the American Kennel Club CGC certification test.

When we had a dog needing behavior training, we called Marty at Blackdog. He came to our home for a very reasonable price and worked with us and our dog. Our dog became very manageable and loving because Marty taught us cues so our dog understood the expected behavior. Marty is truly a Dog Whisperer!

One of the best trainers I have met in my entire life. Marty is able to make a great amount of progress with any and every dog. He handles them with care, caution, and confidence. he was able to take a dog that I did not think would ever find a home because of the aggression this dog had for everyone and everything. I thought it was a lost cause until marty came along and this dog did a 360! He can be around other people, other dogs and was able to find a good home due to the good work of Marty. Highly recommended!

Marty is one of the best dog trainers in the world. I went to him because I couldn't get my new puppy Yorkie to walk on a leash. In just one session, she immediately walked on the leash like a pro. No problem for Marty and she really listened to him. Second session, she was sitting. Third session, she was Staying on Command! Wow! I couldn't get her to walk on that leash in over a month, and he trained me how to train her to listen. If you have a problem with your dog, go to Marty. You will NOT be disappointed!
