Iams premium pet food, fresh water changes twice a day, professional Kuranda dog beds and treats throughout the day!

Nicole grew up with a family that had many dogs. Her dad trained and sold duck-hunting Lab's. As a child, she grew up at field trials, watching dogs hunt and live. Dogs come naturally to her. "I feel like I know what they think." She currently has 4 in her home, all rescues: Jill - Jack Russell, Lily - Poodle mix, Texas - German Shepherd, Tahoe - German Shepherd.
Along with boarding dogs and cats, we also board small animals such as ferrets, birds, and rabbits. Please contact us to discuss your exotic pet needs. Yes, we are licensed and inspected several times a year by North Carolina Department of Agriculture. Yes, we are fully insured. We hold ourselves to the very highest standards regarding our care for your pets.
New Dog Assessment (this will only need to be completed for new customers who want their pet to participate in our group play time) - (Owner please complete until "initial assessment"). Play Care Waiver (this will only need to be completed for new customers who want their pet to participate in our group play time)- (please note-if first time playing, we require an evaluation day).
Due to USDA regulations, we can not take large bags or containers of food. All food brought into the kennel by a customer must be bagged per meal and labeled in a zip lock bag. This policy prevents cross contamination and confusion. We allow an extra toy and treats, but we are not responsible for items that are lost and/or destroyed.

Charlotte Kennels does a great job taking care of my dogs. It means so much to be able to get away and actually RELAX, knowing your dogs are in good hands. Their staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I've boarded at other kennels in the past and worried the entire span of my vacation, wondering if my dogs are OK. With Charlotte Kennels, the only thing I worry about is if my dogs are going to want to come home. Seriously, they really enjoy their time there. Scheduling is easy, and their rates are very reasonable, especially considering the level of service they provide.

We had to use this place because our go-to pet hotel and everywhere else was fully booked. They didn't have the size kennel we had agreed on when we first booked and the girl working the day we dropped off had 0 customer service skills and was not helpful. We were not impressed with this place and felt so bad leaving our 2 kitty girls here. Would not recommend for cat boarding.

My Goldendoodle Stone learned how to be part of a pack during his grooming and doggy daycare as a pup. He was lovingly groomed by Audrey and looked after so well as a senior dog. Love the staff, Audrey the groomer and Charlotte Kennels. He had 12 years of a good life that was enriched by his time at Charlotte Kennels. Would highly recommend.

I've boarded my pups with Charlotte Kennel for almost 2 year. When I did a tour of the facilities, it was immaculate! I like the fact that it's located with woods in the back so the pups have a good outdoor area to run around. Everyone who works at CK has always been extremely nice and you can tell they love animals. This is a great local, small business to support and small businesses need our support more than ever!

Charlotte Kennels is absolutely the best! I have boarded our dogs there for the past 14 years. Our dogs loved being there and I always feel confident that they are in good hands when I drop them off. The facility is very clean, the staff courteous and helpful, and the grooming staff is first-rate. I would highly recommend their day care program as well.

The staff at Charlotte Kennels are simply amazing. They are very friendly and will take the extra time to go above and beyond for you. They are professional and thorough, ensuring all of your questions are answered. I know that all of the pets are well cared for and that is a huge relief as a pet owner. Everyone here is so great and helpful. My dog is a 140lb Mastiff/German Shepherd and very cage aggressive but they do wonders with him. They are very accommodating and reasonably priced. Its so nice to have a place where I don't have to stress while he is there. I know he is in good hands. Thank you guys for everything. Best boarding in NC!

Taken our 2 puppies (both less than a year old) two different times. I sent emails daily to check on them and staff answered within an hour. Gave plenty of feed back to make their stay better. 1 of our puppies was adopted from a shelter and is very fearful of many things and people. The staff was aware and spent extra time with her so she could adjust better.
The kennel is located almost an hour drive from my home and they are more expensive than other kennels in the area but well worth the money and time for the quality of care given.

We are new to North Carolina. I took my dogs for an overnight stay at this kennel based on great reviews I saw from others. After picking up my two four-legged family members this morning, I knew I had taken my babies to the right place. My dogs were happy, they had done well overnight, and I was very impressed with all the staff members who helped me before and at the end of their stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Charlotte Kennels for anyone who wants a caring environment for their pets when they need to be in a temporary home away from home.
