Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital is a general practice that is proud to serve the Berkshires in Massachusetts and the surrounding areas for everything pet related. The hospital has been well-established since 1962. The veterinarians and staff provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures, dental, pharmacy, prescription food, hospital surgery, digital x-ray and ultrasound, holistic alternatives, acupuncture and chiropractic, boarding and outdoor run areas, daycare, and retail.

Shaker Hill Pet Resort is a safe and clean boarding facility inside the Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital in Pittsfield, MA. Our boarding facility is a member of Pet Care Services. We have a knowledgeable, friendly staff who care for your furry friends and give them lots of TLC and individual attention.
Emergency Care During Office Hours for Current Clients If you are not currently a client and your pet has an emergency please contact one of two local highly qualified EMERGENCY HOSPITALS. VESH in South Deerfield or Upstate Veterinary Specialties in Latham, NY. We do not offer walk in services. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet.

We really appreciate how informative the vets are, how patient they are with a multitude of questions, and their wonderful bed-side manner with both our pets & us. Everyone is very friendly and always the exam rooms are clean. Especially appreciate being able to be with our pets during their exams, which help to learn pertinent info in the moment and to be able to ask questions to be fully informed. Thank you for optimal care of our 6 pets and for being kind to us also.

Best place ever. Our dog just passed and the staff were incredibly caring, warm and sincere. They all knew Brodie and how wonderful he was while in their care. The physicians were gifted and marvelous but the support staff made this sad experience a very memorable one They will forever be in your hearts for they way they cared for Brodie and his loving family

Ernie has been receiving care at Pittsfield since his long-time vet retired last year. He is an older dog with diabetes. I cannot speak highly enough of the care at Pittsfield. Dr. Looney and all of the staff are exceptional. Ernie and I live nearly an hour away but frankly Ernie and I would drive twice that far to receive such excellent care PhotoDelete photo 1

I honestly cannot speak highly enough about Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital! I've been taking my dog there for about a year now after have disappointing care from another vet in the area. The time at Pittsfield Vet with Dr. Mady and the team has been so supportive, informative, and clear. Anytime something has come up with my pup, they are quick to respond and get us the support needed. Dr. Mady especially is so knowledgeable and kind and even my super shy and nervous dog loves her! I would very much recommend.

I have been using Pittsfield Vet for quite some time. The staff here are beyong amazing. The workers here truly care about the well being of animals and are very compassionate about them and what they do. They don't treat you like a dollar sign. They know you, they know your animal. The facility itself is beautiful and clean. This is the best place in Berkshire County, hands down!

Today was a bad day. I had to say goodbye to my best friend of 15 years. Dr. Mady made an awful situation manageable. She was knowledgeable, patient, and very kind. She explained what was going on with my cat and what his options were. She gave me advice and answered my questions, in a way that was calm and caring. Thank you Dr. Mady and the Pittsfield Veterinary staff. If you want your pets cared for by people who love animals, this is the place to go

Today 11/12/2020 my hubby and I brought our kitties (momma and daughter) to be put down. We wanted a check up on momma kitty before we put her down and I was told it would cost an extra 59.99. I agreed to it. but the Vet was so kind and wonderful he said I didn't have to pay for a check up. He told us they both needed to be put down just like we had thought.
They both had mamory glad tumors. Which is guess is common in cats when they don't get fixed and obviously ours where not. The care our kitties received was absolutely amazing. The vet and the tech where so sweet, nice, kind and understanding. I definitely give Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital 10 s. If you are looking for Vet for your animals this is the place to go.
