I tried to call about 2 dogs that were loose on the highway that had tags for CKC. I was on hold for 20 minutes and couldn't get through to anyone. Apparently the company is dealing with outages because of the storm Ida. Understandably then they were having difficulty with their phone service. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the information on the other side of the dogs' tags, but at least we got them off the highway.

I puchased a puppy 8 yrs ago. The breeder provided paper for a purebred dog registered with CKC. I did not register the dog at that time. 6 yrs later I had a DNA test done for the dogs health issues. Three knee surgeries at $5k each. Endless allergy problems with thousands more in fees. DNA showed the dog was not a Purebred but actually 4 breeds! I notified and sent DNA results to CKC.
I received back a letter stating 1st I had to pay to register the dogs with them. Then pay an additional fee of $65 for their Photo Analysis to determine if my pet is a Purebred or not (uhm. DNA is pretty indisputable). So obviously they don't really want to be sure dogs registered thru them are Purebred as long as they get fees. Do not buy a CKC dog.

You see that when someone complains about CKC they have the same lame excuse but all CKC does is cause backyard breeders to get their legitimately unregisterable dogs registered. You say you go by " standards of the breed" these are damn mutts! You are a joke and a pathetic excuse for a registration for" breed standards". How is a 3 or 4 breed mixed mutt a "standard breed"?
All CKC does is exploit animals and give people a so called registration so they can charge a ridiculously high price for their mutts. And what's more pathetic is the same computer generated response that I see when someone has a complaint hahaha. CKC should be ashamed of themselves and should be shut down! All they care about is making a buck!

I have dual registered dogs because even with a dna the akc will refuse to register them If there aren't any of the relatives registered. Ckc offers photo id's. The ckc is awesome. I am sick and tired of people putting down the ckc. Akc is a big money game. They allow people with puppy mills to be approved akc kennels. I know this personallt. When I brought it to the akc attention that one of their approved kennels was a very disposable kennel they said they already approved them and that was that. I hope the ckc is around forever.keep up your great customer service also.

CKC has an amazing registration and communication platform. My 4-legged children are all registered with CKC USA and we love it. The team is wonderful and always answers the phone. I have never waited for them to take a call. Plus I always get the same two ladies when I call. We are a family business and they make our lives so much easier. CKC has every aspect down to a fine art. That gives us time to love and care for our babies and have them ready for their forever home. Thank you! Cindy H

I Purchased an AKC registered Chocolate Lab from a nationally recognized breeder with blood lines of chocolate labs going back 25 years. CKC's joke of a registration system said that our $2,000 Labrador was not a lab according to their standards. I have scores of documents that prove that she is a pure lab, but since they looked at a few pictures and a witness attestation from a vet saying she was pure lab, they determined that she wasn't. They refuse to reconsider their obvious mistake. What a Ridiculous excuse for a registration system!

I recently sent in photos to get my female Yorkshire terrier CKC registered. She was denied for reasons that were not made clear on her papers that they sent back.now my question is if her mom is CKC registered and I just had her dad CKC registered this month how in the world can she not be able to get registered through CKC! I understand that a measurement might not be exact to your standards for the breed but that in no way means that she is not purebred and it seems that if her parents are registered with you then why on earth can she not be.
It seems that CKC picks and chooses who they want to be registered. You register mixed breeds but not purebred dogs, what a joke! I will be contacting CKC Monday and ordering a DNA test for my girl. If y'all evaluate dogs to match their ( ideal breed standards) then how in the world can you register mixed breeds?
