Met with Joel as a last minute appraisal appointment for my dog Nala. He was very knowledgable & had the confidence to make Nala & myself very comfortable. Very pleased with just this one encounter. Look up his page on YouTube for some great how to video's tips.

Hi I hear you regarding positive dog training. I have raised 7 dogs all rescue over the years. The Gentle Leader the most valuable tool. Main point- Someone put it to me this way- dogs are pack animals- like wolves- Wolves do not tolerate bad behaviors in the pack and they make that known clearly; sometimes just a growl some times physically that is working with the natural order.

Do those pups get hurt during a correct 99% of the time no. Wolves do not want to kill off their own species or hurt them. The pack needs strong healthy wolves. The Gentle Leader is the closest tool to for humans to make corrects as pack leaders I would like to hear you talk about this more often. The best human pack leader uses rewards and corrections.

Very similar to what a mother dog uses- Mother dog way more efficient timing right on with the correction Animals use corrections that may look harsh but are effective. Thanks Lj

The facility is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and they get the job done. I just wish they had a location closer to me, but it was worth the drive

My better half has been trying to reach them via online submission, email, voicemail and text and no response last six days! I guess they are out of business or not as responsive as they lead you to believe. Was hoping for clarification on some training and then to make an appointment.

If you haven't gotten on the Beckman Training YouTube channel, I highly recommend it. Especially if you got a covid dog, & are figuring out their lacking in socialization.

Every trainer at Beckman's gets results their approach is different than other trainers which has decreased our at home time investment considerably. Beckman's does free owner tutorials online thru YouTube so we can learn the technique he used during the in-person sessions. This saved us alot of expense and time! His service is Next-Level professional.

Extremely disappointed. After watching his videos, I thought he would be very qualified to work with my young, aggressive dog. After the short consultation and the staggering amount he quoted for a 1-week board and train, it was obvious that he didn't want to put the time and effort into training my dog. Drove over an hour back home feeling hopeless and in tears.

I'm finding your videos give me very crisp and clear advice and explain the, easily missed, nuances of training by a professional dog behaviourist in a way we can try to replicate at home with our own dog. Thank you

Mr. Beckman is very nice. He trains the animals with a high amount of respect. He is matter of fact eith the owners and the animals. He does not use shock collars or prongs to train the animals. He makes it clear to the animals as to who is in charge but he does not do it with any kind of abuse. The animals learn to love him yet know he is the boss. He trains the animals in a spa like environment.

We had a wonderful experience with Beckman's Dog Training with our three year old rescue dog. We learned tips that started working right away and it gave us more insight into our dogs behavior. I would highly recommend Beckman's!

Beckman's Dog Training has absolutely transformed our dog BAILEY. He had some serious behavior issues that we had no idea how to live with. We chose to commit to Joel's 2 week board and train program and we are so happy that we did! Bailey continues to go to school every week for the play day training and has made some wonderful friends in the process. As parents, we have a lot to learn too and Joel's team continues to teach us how to reinforce good manners at home. Highly recommend.

I took my darling Ellie to Beckman's Dog Board and Train. Joel and his staff were amazing. They all love what they do and they are excellent at what they do. Joel and Liz are amazing trainers. Their training facility is a dog's heaven. The dogs are watched at all times, they are petted and talked to. There are always teachable moments. They all get along, they swim, run, play, rest, and form friendships. Try them, you will not regret it.
