We have transitioned back to normal procedures, and are welcoming all owners back into the building with your pets. For those who don't feel comfortable coming inside, we will still provide curbside service for those who request it. There have been a couple of serious car accidents near our entrance on Boyette Rd. The ridiculous speeds that people drive on that stretch of Boyette, combined with the very annoying U-turn diversion that drivers must now take to get to the Post Office, have made our entrance intersection pretty scary.

I was born and raised in Valrico, Florida and my family roots in Florida extend back to late 1800's. I first remember wanting to be a veterinarian in 4th grade. I was strongly influenced by the memory of the farm vets who came to treat our livestock. I have always had a love of science and a soft spot for animals.
Did you know that you can help take care of your pets teeth at home? Just like we brush our own teeth at home in between dental visits, you can do the same for your dog or cat! The best time to condition your pet to toothbrushing is when they are young, but you can start about two weeks after dental cleaning.
Grain-free diets for dogs are the latest craze, and at about twice the cost of traditional diets, an expensive alternative at that. So why are grain-free diets better for your dog? Well the truth is, they usually aren't. Many people assume that grain-free diets are carbohydrate free. Not true. The makers of these foods substitute other sources of carbohydrates such as peas, sweet potatoes or cassava.

I've always known Boyette Animal Hospital was a class act, but today I saw it first hand. I would like to thank Dr. Luke, his technician Jo, Marissa and Amy from reception. Today I had to send my sweet Slash on to the Rainbow Bridge. From the time I arrived and checked in, I was take care of as if I was their only client. The compassion and loving understanding toward me and the hardest decision I've had to make in a long time was so comforting. I want to thank them all publicly for just doing what they do each day without the thanks they all deserve. Thank you. I am truly grateful.

I brought my puppy in for an extremely swollen leg, and Dr. Matt saw her. He said she had an abscess on her leg, and was able to get drain it and get us medication for her, and now she is as good as new. The prices were extremely reasonable, and Dr. Matt and all of the staff was super nice and helpful. You can tell that everyone at this office loves what they do, and it truly shows I'm their work. Thank you Boyette Animal Hospital!

Absolutely love this place! I boarded my Emmie for the first time and she has bad anxiety, they called me immediately with an update on her & put her in a quiet area for rest rather than leave her in a loud room to be traumatized by her first experience away from me. She was so happy when I picked her up and she acted perfectly normal after getting her home. I know boarding can be stressful or traumatic on a pup but I can tell she was given love and affection on her visit. Very affordable & felt like I was apart of a family.

This is the best Veterinarian facility I have ever experienced! The Doctors and staff are so friendly, sincere and knowledgeable. They really care about our fur babies and you can just tell it's a passion for them. My dog loves coming here just as much as she loves the park! I highly recommend to anyone if you want good quality care, then bring your doggos to Boyette Animal Hospital.

I bring my cats and bulldog here and every time has been excellent. I have trusted them with three surgeries and all three were flawless. I've never been rejected for a work-in appointment when there have been emergencies, which have been a handful. Super quick and easy to re-fill meds or pick-up food. They run a well oiled machine. A+

I have been taking my dog to the vet here since I got him. The vet experience has always been great. However, the boarding experience has completely ruined that and I will no longer be taking him to the vet here either. I had a work event from Monday-Friday. I was told I couldn't check him in until Monday evening. Since my work even started During the day on Monday that was not going to work.
Since they do not take drop offs on Sundays I was told I would need to drop him off on Saturday. Come to find out the Monday evening comment was completely untrue and I paid for two extra days of boarding for no reason. Since I was boarding him for so long he was supposed to get a bath and nails trimmed. Only two of his nails look remotely trimmed and definitely no others.
The worst part is that the whole layer of skin on his nose is completely scraped off. When I asked the person about it they said they were not sure so they went inside to ask. The supervisor told them to tell me that his nose was scraped off because he was rubbing it against blankets. So he scraped the whole top of his nose off with a blanket? I find that extremely hard to believe for obvious reasons.
I asked if he was left in a create (I explained that he doesn't do well in crates and should only be in a large kennel). I was told no. I think that is a lie. It is the ONLY time he will try to get out of someplace. He has been to several boarding places and has been fine. Idk what happened there but I am upset from beginning to end. He was super stressed when I picked him up. Has been off since I picked him up.

Thus place has turned into a non caring money making only factory. I have been with them for more than 20 years but I am done! I have a sick cat and they tell me we don't have appointments until next week but we are happy to charge you $92.00 if you want to just walk in and wait. Right! I am better off going to Blue Pearl, at least they care! Boyette Animal is HORRIBLE!
