A Handsome Hound

We have been taking our fur babies to Handsome Hound Grooming for years. Dana and Nikki are just wonderful and we always feel comfortable leaving our pups with them! The grooming outcome is always beautiful and their love for their furry charges is obvious. You just can't find a better, friendlier or more professional grooming and doggy daycare home-away-from-home for your pets!

Ladies were able to get us in on short notice and did an awesome job. Our GSP is a handful and he seemed to fit in really well. Top notch service and great results. Favorite part of the experience was meeting Woody. Thank y'all again.

This was my first visit at this location I love the service I received. When I pick up my dog she seem very happy and she looked so cute I love the way she trimmed my dog. This will be my new dog groomer for now on and yes the price is very affordable. It was nice meeting you nicki and your mom thanks again. I wish I could post a picture of my dog but I don't know how lol

Easy to make an appointment. My pooch always comes out looking great and smelling fabulous after a bath and a cut. They are super gentle with her as she is an old girl. Very affordable. Would recommend.

Best groomer in Brandon. We have been using Handsome Hound for at least 25 years. From cocker spaniels to Maltese and now our Dorky. The owner and her daughter are absolutely wonderful.

The owner is someone who loves her clients. She has been amazing with my neurotic sweet dog and even alerted me to a medical issue I had missed. I was so grateful. I got my dog into the vet right away and got the problem resolved. I will never take my dog anywhere else.

I'm happy I came here. It was my dogs first time at a groomer and she thought it was a vet at first but quickly became comfortable. I love that they don't crate unless necessary. I will be coming back for all my dogs grooming needs

Dana is a talented groomer and has been taking good care of my puppy for many years. I highly recommend them.

I have been bringing my 2 Goldendoodles here for about a year now. The staff is always friendly and prices are very good compared to most other local places. They take instructions well and my dogs come home smelling great. I would definitely recommend.

I've been taking my dog there for a couple of years. Nothing special for the $50 charge (and I always tip on top of that) but convenient. I was told to drop my dog off today between 9 - 11 and when I walked in at 10:40 the owner asked what I wanted. Told her we were here and she RUDELY told me that I was suppose to drop off by 10 am and continued to sweep her floor.

I told her no, that was not what she told me and she proceeded to tell me I was wrong. She didn't care and she was not busy at all. Told her she was losing my business and again, she didn't care. She was in the wrong for sure but I guess her bad attitude towards clients wins over. Don't use businesses that don't care if they lose your business. This is one of those businesses.

Good lord, this place is terrible! Called a week in advance and was turned down once we walked in because apparently they don't take skittish dogs, even though we called and made it very clear. That was frustrating, but it wouldn't have been a big deal if the lady at the counter wasn't so condescending about it. Also, this place lets their employees parade their political views.

Extremely unprofessional. I went down the street to the petsmart, not only was it cheaper than the estimated price that A Handsome Hound gave us, but they DO take skittish dogs AND they had an appointment for the next day. Shame on me for trying to support a local business. Such a bad experience I had to download this app just to let people know to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

A friend referred me to this place and I am so glad! My dog came home smelling and feeling wonderful. She enjoyed playing with the other dogs and the entire interaction was so easy and pleasant. I never have trouble getting an appointment when I need one and this will definitely be my go to place.

I went out of town For Two weeks. when I came back I thought my dog had fleas, so I gave her a flea bath until her appointment when we got to her appointment I told them I didn't want to cut her but if she had fleas or if she had mats and that's what they needed to do then do it. She told me they were gonna cut it and give her a flea bath and oatmeal something to make her smell good.

They shaved her and told me that she didn't even have any fleas and they shaved a patch on her head. Nothing special and definitely not worth the 50$ they charged me for the oatmeal and flea bath for my dog who had less then a in of hair when I picked her up and they still charged me for a flea bath after she told me they shaved her first and didn't see any fleas. And those big ass cats walking around on the table in my face when I'm talking is so unprofessional.

I thought I had a good relationship with this groomer. But today I was very disappointed, they skinned my dog too low and never cut her according to my specifications. I will not take her there again I have already found another groomer. They offered no apology and I still had to pay. I do not recommend them at all. I wish u could give them no star.

It is always dog droppings everywhere outside you have to watch where you step and not great ventilation it smells like dirty pets and it never smells good. I am very disappointed!

We've been taking our dog here for several years. They always do a great job bathing and trimming her. She has a beautiful tail and they follow instructions to not trim any of her tail hair off.that alone is worth the price, which is very reasonable. We've had other groomers years ago who hacked instead of trimmed.so Handsome Hound is our favorite.

This place smells awful. I brought my sisters dogs and I will Never bring them here again. All the animals are loose, big and small. The employees show very little love and affection for the pets. Purely disgusting. I recommend a better place for her dogs. They deserve better treatment. And the amount of animals they take at once is unacceptable. The wait is horrific. If I wasn't forced to give them a star I wouldn't.

My partner dropped our little pup off in the morning for a groom, as we had been looking for a new groomer. When I went to pick him up I learned that all of the animals are dropped off at the same time in the morning and picked up at the same time in the afternoon. The reception area for customers to pay and leave is TINY, so when everyone is there at the same time, it's not a pleasant experience.

I personally don't care for that business model very much. That aside, the groomer cut the pups ears at two distinctly different lengths (almost a half inch difference). This seems to be a common problem for groomers in this area for some reason. If it's due to our pup, no one has said as much. Either way, I'll continue the hunt for a new groomer.

This is the ONLY place I trust with Nikko. Amazing place with a very welcoming & friendly staff. I have no doubt that my baby is being well cared for in his time spent here, & he's always excited to go back. Nikko always comes home looking, & smelling, like a million bucks. Would highly recommend!

Excellent service! The staff is very friendly and sweet. What I like the most is that the dogs are not kept in kennels all day (unless they misbehave) and get to play with other dogs while they're there. I always felt bad when I used to take my dogs to bigger grooming chains and couldn't pick them up until after work. Now when I pick up my dogs they don't seem stressed out. Anyway, staff is very professional and my dogs look great! Price is very reasonable in comparison to bigger chains. Support local businesses!

Been taking my puppy here for doggy day care for 3 months now, I must say she looks forward to going every morning. The Mother + Daughter owners and staff are the friendliest and nicest people I have come across. Even though my black lab puppy gets hyper around new people they help me in working with her to become a better dog and not give up on her.

I will always recommend them to anybody and they make my life so much easier by being the best doggy day care and groomers in Brandon FL Period. Also the rates are better than anywhere else but the customer service far exceeds my expectations! Thank you so much, you really are life savers!
