They are very caring and my skiddish pup loves them. We like that they get there own cabin to stay in.

DOG OWNER BEWARE. We were once fans of Companion Camp, but recently it has become about the dollars, and not the dogs. Just this month, we inquired if they had availability and the price. From just that inquiry, not a request to book a stay, they automatically reserved a space even though we never asked them to do so. The day before our trip, they emailed us to confirm and we noted that we had other plans and never requested a reservation.

Their response to this matter is to charge us a $150 cancellation fee to the card they have on file from our previous stay. To make it even worse, when we disputed, they threatened that we pay the fee or they will charge a full $500 for the entire stay. Needless to say, we can no longer recommend a business that auto books without your permission and then threatens charges. Very deceitful.

The dogs really love their private cabin with dog run. We appreciate being able to have full confidence and trust in them being cared for while we get away. I was disappointed in December, concerned asking why our dogs were on a deck outside at pick up when the temperature was 36 degrees, and I was told only 15 minutes!? Honestly, they are fine and I have been happy with top quality services. Other visits went great and we will return.

We absolutely love Companion Camp. I actually live in Cary and drive 45 minutes each way to board my dog here. The owners and staff love the dogs, and they were so accepting of my dog, who is over 100 lb. and can be very nervous in new situations. They were great with her, and she loves it there.

To be clear, this is a place to board your pets, it isn't a human campground. The owners, Tim and Jessica are fantastic and they take get care of my 2 dogs. A great place and far better environment than the 'pound' like kennels my wife and I checked out. There are 12 cabins with air conditioned interiors and private fenced outdoor space for the dogs. The dogs receive exercise daily and personal attention from dedicated staff.

I don't have personal experience with boarding my dogs, but when I went to Companion Camp for a tour Tim was very professional, helpful and answered any questions I had. The facilities are immaculately clean and the dogs I met looked happy and healthy. If you live in the Chatham County area or even if you don't I would I would highly recommend bringing your dog here for boarding!

I have seen many boarding facilities throughout my life and career and this is one of the nicest places run by staff who care not only about your dog but your whole experience as a consumer.

We've been using Companion Camp for six years. We love this place. I always disliked leaving them to be crated as I really love our dogs. We currently have one three year old fear aggressive pitt bull and our six year old extremely dominate female bull boxer mix. They do an excellent job keeping them away from the other dogs, but still give them the love and exercise they need.

Good thing, or our 80 lb scaredy cat would eat the walls. They listen when I tell them don't turn your back on her, as she is fear aggressive. She would never attack you face on, but her anxiety will make her nip a non family member from behind. Costs is excellent. It's about 45 minutes from our home, but worth the extra time. They used to send updates if you requested, but in the last couple years I guess they've stopped. I miss those updates, but it was a bonus.

I've been taking my dogs to Companion Camp for 7 years. They do an excellent job, especially with dogs who may not do well in groups with other dogs. We drive 30 minutes from our home in Durham because it is well worth the peace of mind. The best part is that my dogs (a lab mix and an Australian Cattle Dog) always come home worn out-- a sure sign that they are getting lots of attention and playtime. Couldn't recommend Companion Camp more.

Before I knew of companion camp I used a kennel very near my home. My Lab (who since went on to the rainbow bridge) would balk and refuse to get out of the car. Once I found companion camp, she very willingly got out of the car and ran in. This is a sign she had a good experience. Our present Lab, Buddy, also jumps from the car and heads straight to the door very happily. The few extra miles to get to companion camp is definitely worth it. I know my dog is being well taken care of and I have peace of mind.

Our Hope and Yogi loved Companion Camp! Now that they've gone on, I'm sure our new Potter will love it just the same!

Jess and the others at Companion Camp always take excellent care of our dog, Howard. It's such a relief to know that we are boarding him with such sweet, caring animal lovers. They always take time to play with him and give him a lot of love. It means a lot to us, especially because we know Howard is a big (80 lbs pit-mix) bundle of energy. Howard never wants to leave when we come to pick him up!

I really can't say enough great things about Companion Camp. I drive an hour from Durham to board my dog here. I've boarded at a lot of other places in the area and this place is cheaper than any of them, PLUS doesn't make you pay extra for things like giving medication or playtime. They hike your dog twice a day (1 mile each!) at no extra charge.

Each dog has a little cabin with a doggie door leading to their own little fenced outdoor space. They are super sensitive to behavioral issues and easy to correspond with via email.
