Dover Kennels

I took my 9 year old husky to Dover Kennels and she stayed there for about a week while I was out of town. I was a little nervous because it was her first time at Dover Kennels but I can tell that she was very well taken care of. I had previously left her at an another boarding company and she came back very nervous and stressed. However, she came back happy from Dover Kennels and has acted herself this whole time.

I called a couple of times to ask how she was doing and I was always reassured that she was eating and going to the bathroom well. I'm very thankful and happy with Dover Kennels.

The only place I'll bring my dog. When I've picked my dog up from other places, my dog was super anxious. He is always super happy when I pick him up from dover kennels

Tried this place on the recommendation of some good friends of ours. Just pucked up our dogs, and they seem to have had a great time! Staff so friendly, they gave us an update on how they were, we got to see photos while we were gone. We will definitely be back.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value My dogs were there a half day, every part of them smelled like urine and feeces. I had to pull over at the end of the driveway because they were crying from not being let out to go to the bathroom.

Had to use Dover when our usual kennel went on vacation. Not the happiest with the Sunday pickup hours since it results in you being charged and extra day. Little communication issues that were resolved. However, Georgia seemed happy and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely spendier but, willl gladly use them as a backup again.

My daughter's 2 little pomskys got out and ran away. These people were amazing! Talk about animal lovers! Thank you so much! We were devastated!

We love Dover! We have been taking our dogs here for years. The pups are always very excited when we drop them off. Other family members of mine trust Dover as well with their dogs we are always happy we can count on Dover to keep them safe & healthy! Thank you Dover

We have brought our 2 year old German Shepard here twice in the last year. They're very good with her even though her high energy can be overwhelming for some. They bathed her and clipped her toenails very well also. It's such a relief to be able to trust someone with our fur baby while out of town. We highly recommend the Dover kennels!

Dover kennels is the best place only place I'd take my dogs. Jill and Mark the owners are knowledgeable and my dogs always come home happy and fresh smelling.

I have brought my dogs here no less than 20-30 times over an 8 year period. They are always professional and courteous and my dogs come home smelling great and happy. The picture I posted says it all: it's my dogs waiting excited by the door to get back to their kennel. I feel lucky to have a place like this so close. The one stars on here are from people that had their dogs impounded after escaping. I understand that people would be upset by the situation but it doesn't reflect on Dover's services at all.

Mark and Kami are great. Recovered a dog there that belongs to a cousin. These 2 are very pet friendly. I hope they get the Ham Lake contract for animal control!

After we got our first dog, it was hard for me to leave him somewhere when we were on vacation because he was a rescue and I felt guilty. When I called around Dover was the first Kennel that said it was ok to come for a tour and see the facility. Mark was kind to answer all my nervous questions and made me feel at ease, leaving our rescue dog with them while on vacation.

When we picked Max up, he seemed conflicted to come home with us or stay with the girls at Dover. They treated him like he was their own. Here we are 3 years later an another dog, Jill and Mark are like extended family. Their love for animals and kind hearts make it easy to leave our pets in their care while we vacation and can feel a peace that they are in wonderful hands.

Our dogs are our kids and we would not trust them with just anyone. Dover is their home away from home and we love that feeling. Thanks Mark, Jill and all the staff for caring for our furbabies.

We have been bringing our dogs to DOVER Kennels for years! Our dogs love it there! DOVER is extremely clean. The staff is wonderful and truly cares about animals! I had two elderly dogs that were cared for while we take vacations and Jill & staff provided the extra care they needed. Such a piece of mind! We now have two black labs that we bring to DOVER and when we drop them off, I can tell they are comfortable there and feel at home! I highly recommend DOVER Kennels to care for your family dogs!

Dover Kennels kept my dog safe when a person found her wandering on a busy street and turned her in. I contacted them (she didn't have a collar on) and was able to pick her up right away. She had food and water and the facility was clean. They owners were super nice and the cost reasonable. I've used them for boarding since then and she is always happy and healthy when I get her back. Thanks for taking care of my fur baby.

Dover Kennels is the only place I'll take my fur babies. They are GREAT! The staff treats me and my dogs like family. I really like how they keep a small staff, which makes it even more comfortable for my dogs. It's easy to tell they care about the animals and love what they do! SCAM! Clearly this place makes its money 'boarding' impounded dogs. My dog got out while visiting MN from Indiana (which as her owner is on me). However Andover police did not contact me (ALL her tags were on her with my number) and instead dumped her off at this sad excuse for a kennel. It looked half built and the dogs did not look cared for.

It looked like they got nice kickbacks from pretending to be a pound. They didn't give her a kennel cough shot. They didn't try contacting me either. Claimed she was there almost 2 hours (which doesn't line up with how long she was missing). When I got there, the man running the desk had taken her collar off and had it among others at the desk.

While paying the $37 'pound fee', I noticed the daily cost was $24 and sarcastically asked why it was cheaper to have the dog boarded. the guy seriously tried to sell me on their services! It was just gross and unprofessional for a company to take advantage of people through their pets.

We stopped here a month ago to check out their facility. place looked and smelt clean, the girl we spoke to seemed nice and took time to answer our questions. So we made a reservation. So we left our hunting dog (Duke) there for a short week while on vacation. Duke has never stayed at a kennel before or cared for by strangers. We got home a day early so I stopped by a day before we were expected to pick him up (right at closing time).

Even before he saw me, he seemed happy and content being on the leash with one of the kennel owners. He was clean and smelt good, kennel owner said he ate all the food I left and ate every meal which tells me he wasn't stressed. Although we are rarely in need of a boarding kennel, I will use Dover Kennels again. Thanks for taking care of our boy.
