I buy a parrot here I pay I lot money. he had no tail. He told me that he would be out in a month. He is 3 months old with me. The parrot does not have a tail. ask again and she was very rude and arrogant. In the same way when I come to the store she has tried to insinuate that my children have stolen toys when I show her the invoice she says that humm okay you can go. I think it is a very bad service from the manager, she is arrogant and rude to customers. latinos

Ok for the most part they are a small pet store with a few different brands. I liked the customer service at the manteca store. They have a personality over there. The modesto store, although helpful, they are just doing their job. I have spent hundreds of dollars there since the beginning of this year and as soon as you question returning something like E-collar that my dog did not wear because it was too small.the attitude by the manager changes like your a nobody.
The return policy is posted by the register but they don't speak of it until you are in there trying to return it. So screw you lady, it's not our responsibility to verbally tell you you can't return it after 48 hrs. I don't live in town and probably would have thought twice about buying the collar if I would have known that. I ended up making my own collar for the dog.
The manager had an attitude that made me decide I will spend my $400 a month someplace else. I've been in customer service for years and the young people these days don't get it. So bye bye Carters in Modesto.

My favorite pet store. All of my critters came from here so far. 3 Tarantulas, 4 scorpions and a centipede! This store is ALWAYS: CLEAN, ORGANIZED, LOTS OF EMPLOYEES WHICH ALSO BRINGS LOTS OF HELP. THEY WILL HELP U WITH ANYTHING U NEED. THIS WHOLE STORE BRINGS GOOD VIBES. WATCH OUT FOR the vagrants. They are everywhere in this area but usually not too much at this store, but don't trust it.

This was the saddest thing I've seen. I was holding back tears at this pet store. Extremely Crowded conditions. A beautiful exotic bird kept in such a small cage. The snakes are in pairs in small containers. Dirty water. The smallest pet store I've ever been to but yet the most animals I've ever seen in a pet store.
