Group Classes are a good starting point for Dog Training. They offer your dog socialization and help teach your dog how to listen to your commands in a distracting setting. Also we provide information on breaking bad habits. We offer several classes, starting with Basic Obedience, as well as more advanced classes like Rally, Agility and Dog Trick Classes.

Our custom-fit Private Lessons are a good place to focus on problematic issues specific to your dog's needs. Board and Train offers the consistency of a full time trainer to really break those bad habits.
Services
We can guide each client in the direction they want to go such as fieldwork, home pet, show in conformation, show in obedience, agility, protection, tracking, herding and others. We guarantee our classes such that our clients can come back to any of our classes until they are happy with their dog with no extra cost.
Janet has been mentoring capable people to help with dog class though-out the years, teaching them the special methods to teach at dog class and how to solve difficult dog problems. Now after years of training, she has put together a great 'Dog Training Team' for you. Janet started the dog training business, Guaranteed Dog Training, in April of 1975 in Fresno CA then moved the business to Stockton in 1980. When she moved to Stockton, her mother, Marion MacDannald, learned how to train and assist with the classes and then later teach classes.
Rally is a successful stepping stone from beginner dog training class to the world of Novice Obedience and/or Agility. Rally offers both handler and dog an experience that is energizing and fun. The canine team moves at its own pace, following stations while progressing through the training area. Benefits include a fast paced obstacle course that intensifies the bond between dog and handler.
The agility class is great fun and good exercise! It builds confidence in a bonding way for our client and the dogs because of the communication that is necessary. It's an enjoyable way to release that excess energy for the dogs. The dogs learn to jump hurdles, scale ramps, run through tunnels, balance on a teeter-totter and weave through a line of poles. Please Note: In the event that a class is canceled, you will be informed immediately of a lesson makeup date.

I've taken several dogs to this training, Fun for the Dogs, and always useful as each dog is different and requires unique guidance. The Owner is very patient and will work with you if your having special needs. a great opertunity to understand how and why dogs bad behavior occurs, plus education for pet parent on how to apply Praise equals correction method, where a dog not be frightened. Trust of human, brings happy rewards to man's best friend.

I'm a long time dog owner but a first time GSD owner. My pretty girl was a bit more than we expected. Janet and team were great with her. They gave me specific pointers just for issues we were having, outside the normal class obedience training. We went on from basic obedience to off leash training classes. While my pup is still too young to be trusted completely, she has made great progress.

With all the handouts and homework Janet gives after each class, I can go back and make sure I'm still doing things correctly. Especially now with COVID shutting gatherings down again. My pup needs constant training to keep her mentally stimulated (and not eating the furniture). The handouts are wonderful references.

This class is a great opportunity -- to train yourself to be a good owner. As with anything that's worthwhile, it requires work, but it's well worth it. They are crystal clear about what to bring, what to do, what co statutes good dog manners. There were a few red faces when owners would go off on how Fido was strong willed, whatever, then hand the dog over to the assistants.

Within minutes, Fido would trot through the circle, lie down, sit, perfectly fine. I grew up around dogs and have always had dogs, so I myself was embarrassed at how much I didn't know. There are degrees and there are degrees of training yourself. You decide. I chose medium trained for myself and my son. He doesn't have to obey every stricture, because I was too exhausted to be that great of a dog owners, but he occasionally gets complimented on his good manners. Getting dog training will vastly increases the quality of your life, and it's also a favor to your dog.

I am so thankful to the amazing trainers at Guaranteed Dog Training. I came to therm with a year old German Shepherd who was aggressive and fearful towards other dogs and some people. We had gone through two training classes at another dog training facility, but they were unable to help me socialize him and without that we were having obediance issues even after attending 12 weeks of their training classes With Guaranteed, I saw results as quickly as the second week of class, it was like I had a different dog.

With their direction, I was able to become the leader my dog needed and we connected on a whole different level. It has been so wonderful being able to take walks with him without any incidences and have house quests again. I cannot recommend Guaranteed Dog Training highly enough. They are professional dog handlers. They have four trainer at available, so problem areas like I had with my dog were addressed and solutions given immediately. Janet worked with us individually, until I got IT!

Not only are they experts with the dogs but their people training skills are awesome as well. We loved our Shepard before but now we are really enjoying him, plus we can be social again.

They guarantee behavior modification of your pet. They said that after the initial classes, you could repeat until their methods worked. Well their training did not work for our Great Pyrenees. We have a lovely white Great Pyrenees. She has never had any problems with people. She loves people and especially children. We also have 2 other dogs, 1 a lab mix and a Chihuahua mix.

My Great Pyrenees plays well with them and other dog friends, she knows well. However although she loves people, every so often for some reason some dogs set her off. She will tackle the dog and put it down on the ground. She has never bitten a dog or person but she has been bitten. We got her from a rescue group and as a puppy was very sick the 1st 3 months we had her and spent 3k on health and training.

We believe in socializing out dogs so they all start going to dog parks as soon as their shots are finished. When she was 5 months to 1 yr and 5 months, we lived in Virginia and took her to dog parks everyday and also she got to go to dog parks and beaches in VA, PA, NC and SC. In that time, the worst thing that she ever did was growl at some other dogs.

We also took her to dog training classes. However when we returned to Cali, she started having occasional issues with some dogs. We tried to find what would cause her to be aggressive to a few dogs and not be aggressive to 95% of other dogs. So when we saw the "guaranteed dog training" we hoped this would solve the issue. My wife explained the issue we had to the owner and was told they could train our dog.

We went to the lessons 2 times and they could not train or resolve the issue with our Great Pyrenees. After 2 sets if lessons, they gave up and told us not to come back - even though they assured we could continue until the issue was resolved. So count us as a very unhappy customer.

You know the saying "you get what you pay for"? Well in this case that could not be more true. I debated for weeks if I should just go to petco or pet-smart for dog classes but ultimately thought "class in the park seems like a better/more enjoyable location for training." Yes, guaranteed dog training comes with a steep $100 price tag for a 4 week session BUT IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT (And you are a "lifetime member"-meaning after the 4 week course you can come back for free) I am in week 2 with my dog and we are already seeing great results (she is sitting, laying down etc) Janet, the owner called prior to the first class to field questions and ease anxieties and then called again after class #2 to check in and see how things were going.

I really appreciated that and can tell she truly wants us to succeed! They email "homework" after the class which has pointers and a review of the class which is very helpful. There are 3 or 4 other trainers/aides there that are hands on in the class too (i was worried that with 10-15 dogs it would be hard to get one on one help but there are more than enough trainers there to lend a hand) I really don't know why we didn't sign up for this class years ago! We look forward to weekly class and my dog is really responding well!
