Services
My dad has a lot of experience in dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting, giving medications, and even administering needles to animals. But most importantly, he is a professional. He takes pride in what he does. He created a company where his clients feel safe knowing their animals are well taken care of.
Overnight Care is a 24-hour service and includes feeding, changing water, and administering medications as needed. For dogs, it includes one morning, one afternoon, and one evening walk. Our dog walks are 20 minutes long. You can choose from 4 to 5 dog walking days per week, from Monday through Sunday.
From day one that [Doggie's Playmate] came to meet my dogs, they were smitten with [John Amato]. Even Bubba, my Shar-Pei, who is aloof with strangers, at best, attacked John Amato with kisses. I knew then that he would be a great fit, and he proved me right. He is dependable and communicative, and the dogs adore him.
Doggie's Playmate loves your pet, and we are always thinking of ways to thank you for your for your continued and long-standing patronage. Each year on your birthday, we walk your dog, or offer your cat one-day visit, absolutely free. This perk applies only to regular and longstanding clients. If you're a Doggie's Playmate client, your pet(s) will be added to our online slide show. Wouldn't it be great to feature your favorite pooch or puss for all the world to see? Once a month, Doggie's Playmate chooses a "First Mate."

I've been going to the Van Vorst dog park for ten years now. I know all the dog walkers since I've always had weekdays off. John Amato is the most beloved dog walker in town. He truly loves each dog as if they were his own. He adores the dogs and they adore him. This you know when he enters the park and the lick fest begins! The dogs are crazy about John.
This I can attest to from what I've witnessed over the years. I've never needed a dog walker until recently, but there was no question in my mind who my choice would be. There is only one person I know, without a doubt in my mind, that would treat my dog like his own. With my new job, I can rest easy knowing my dog is not just well cared for, but loved and adored while I'm away. John offers me peace of mind that money can't buy.

I was very happy with the service overall for 2 months. then overnight, the dog walker who was taking care of my dog got fired (she told me she got fired at 11.30 in the evening over a rough conversation with the owner!). I was notified the next morning by text message by the dog walker, and tried all morning to email and call the owner to understand what was going on.
Since my dog gets her daily walk around 2 pm, I had to let the dog walker, who still had my keys, take care of the walk for that day anyway. When I managed to reach the owner (yes, I had to call back, he would not return my call or email), he could not give me a good reason to fire the walker, and just said he was sorry but he had no other person to take care of my dog in my neighborhood.
I was very deceived for this lack of service - he did not even offer to find an arrangement for the rest of the week (this happened a Tuesday). The only thing I am happy for is that I managed to find another company to walk my dog daily and hope they turn out to be more reliable and/or have a plan B in case something like this happens, which obviously is not a concern at Doggie's Playmate :(
