Sal and his team are fantastic and a true lifesaver for Zoe, our super active, somewhat anxious, city dwelling Irish Goldendoodle. She literally can't wait to greet Geoff and jump in the van in the morning and comes home happy and relaxed. We have consulted Sal on numerous city puppy issues and he is always responsive and very knowledgeable and helpful, so we feel in very good hands. He also does boarding which has been terrific as well and has an excellent groomer on staff, whom we use regularly. Truly a first-rate full service operation!

After 8 months out of NYC and in relative isolation, our two year old GSD had become skittish with other dogs and extremely prone to separation anxiety. Needless to say, when we had to find somewhere to board her, we were nervous about how she would do. Once we connected with Sal, we realized that we had nothing to worry about. From the moment she arrived for her boarding, we got tons of photos and videos, showing us that she was receiving constant care and attention from Sal, Taylor and the whole crew and that she was having the BEST time playing with a great group of sweet dog pals!

It made our time away from her so much more relaxing knowing how she was doing, and we looked forward to every update. Now that she is home, we continue to notice positive differences in her behavior from the work done with her at Athletic Club: she is 100% more confident with other dogs and way more independent-a great change given then we are headed back to the office. We truly can't say enough good things-we are so relieved to have found the Delighted Dog and our dog already can't wait to go back!

Sal and his crew are awesome! They care for our puppy, Jet, with so much love and attention. From the moment Jet boards the van in the morning, We're at ease knowing that he is in the best hands. He has leaned to socialize with a variety of dogs and his agility training has reached new heights! We're so grateful to the entire team for their expertise and partnership!

We are so grateful that we found Delighted Pets' New York Canine Athletic Club! Our Mini Australian Shepherd was a true Covid puppy, lacking in socialization with people and other dogs and exhibiting defensive/anxious behaviors. We were referred by our trainer, Brian Kilcommons at Great Pets, who we trust completely. Brian told us that Sal and his team were the only people he trusted to supervise dogs like ours, who are slow to trust new people but who need to get outside and get their energy out. Sal, Taylor, Brittany, and the entire Delighted Dogs team take such good care of our dog!

Our dog comes home at the end of each day happy and exhausted. We've seen positive changes in his behavior, energy levels, agility and obedience. And the team's door-to-door client service (including front door pick-up and drop-off) and constant communication (including regular pics and videos) is amazing and has made it possible for us to go back to the office without worry or fear. We don't know what we'd do without them! Highly, highly recommend if you are looking for daycare for your energetic dog :-).

Sal and his team are the absolute best! I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are professional, knowledgeable, caring and reliable. My dog Zulu absolutely loves them and goes wild when the car arrives to pick her up in the morning. The level of service Sal, Taylor and the team provide is exceptional. To provide a service where dogs can run around for hours and also get training to just wonderful and so unique in NYC.

She also boards with them when we go away and I know she is in the very best hands. They are always incredibly responsive and send pics throughout the day. Guys thank you so much. I really cannot express my gratitude highly enough.

I had only a few meetings with Sal and his team, and already my puppy (and I) are better behaved. Sal devised a playbook to help me deal with my energetic Goldendoodle who loves people so much that she jumps up on them. Sal recommended firm, clear communication and a strategy of asking our pup to work for reward at every chance. I wish Sal would record his training sessions so we dog owners could be inspired and encouraged on every dog walk!

I cannot say enough great things about Sal and his team at The Delighted Dog. As first time dog owners, my family needed quite a bit of hand holding. Sal was there every step of the way, and was available to chat or text pretty much 24/7. In addition, in terms of training, Sal has been an amazing resource. He gives great advice and always stays positive. Also, Sal has really exceptional boarding and day care programs for dogs.

Our dog loves spending time at Sal's when we go away, and Sal sends us just the right amount of photos and updates. We have also met several members of Sal's team, and they are all very high quality people. This business is simply best in class.

I love sending my puppy to Delighted Dog! He gets training, socialization, and exercise all in one place, and he gets so excited each morning when the van pulls up. Getting pictures and videos each time he is there is so enjoyable and provides great peace of mind for me. The fact that they pick up and drop off at my apartment is a huge plus and scheduling is easy and flexible. Can't recommend this place enough if you have an active dog that loves to get out of the city.

The Delighted Dog/NY Canine Athletic Club is the best thing that's come into Frankie's (my pup) and my life (as a dog owner)! Sal and his team are professional, responsible, responsive, caring, communicative and clearly love the dogs and what they do. As soon as I mention "Doggie Day Camp" to Frankie she runs to the door. When the air conditioned Sprinter van pulls up, she just jumps on in ready to go and is happy to get in a crate.

I then look forward to the multiple pictures (and videos) of my girl and her friends that get sent to me during the day. Watching my girl run around tons of land/nature with rocks, dirt, trees, etc. fetching balls and playing with friends truly warms my heart. I also enjoy knowing that they are constantly reinforcing training commands and are working on agility with Frankie.

A confident dog is a happy dog. I know I'm providing her with a great experience and it's all due to Sal and his team. Knowing that I can also use their transportation services when needed is also a huge help when I can't be in multiple places at once. So happy they're in our lives!

I cannot say enough great things about The Delighted Dog! They are truly attentive, amazing and they genuinely care about your dog. Sal is extremely personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. Taylor is a fantastic trainer, extremely knowledgeable and a really kind person. My 9 month old golden retriever pup absolutely loves attending hound hikes and comes home satisfied (and tired). All the dog walkers are extremely kind and make the walks enjoyable and productive! Highly recommend!

I've been a customer of The Delighted Dog for over a year. While i have tried many different dog care options (walking, day care, etc), the professionalism, experience and customer care at The Delighted Dog is bar-none best-in-class. First, The Delighted Dog offers more than simply dog-walking services. Their product offerings also include "Hound Hikes, " day long excursions to a nearby farm.

At the farm, my dog runs, plays and often-times trains for hours on end. The Hound Hikes give my puppy the (much needed) opportunity to burn off so much more energy, as well as socialize with other dogs and The Delighted Dog's best-in-class team. With brings me to my second point: top-notch, noticeably better dog-care professionals. Like almost any service job, what distinguishes The Delighted Dog is the passion of their staff for their work. I've dealt extensively with both Carlos and Taylor, who are extremely knowledgeable, personable and reliable.

This team is on time, puts the owners and their dogs at ease, amenitizes the overall experience (treats, prompt pickups, etc) and does it all at a reasonable price. They go above and beyond. I promise you won't be disappointed with this team.
