Services
Hand raised parrots are playful, entertaining and highly interactive; many learn to talk and imitate sounds. Your relationship with a parrot will be quite different than with any other kind of pet, when properly cared for and raised with mutual understanding they will become endearing lifetime companions.
Foot toys provide amusement and offer benefits. Foot toys/handheld toys require exercise, offer rewards, arouse curiosity and encourage foraging. Toss them on the bottom of the cage, surprise your pet on the playpen, play ball or fetch on the floor, there are lots of ways for both you and your pet to have fun with parrot foot toys.

This is such a neat store! The aviary in the entrance is easily the best bird display that I've seen. Their red factor canaries are STUNNING. All of the store parrots were on large stands with lots of activities. Breeding pairs and babies were in a private space (with lots of windows) and appeared very healthy and clean. The staff was so nice and answered several of our questions very thoughtfully.and thoroughly. It's absolutely worth a visit! I look forward to going again soon.

I purchased a Red Bellied Parrot 20+ years ago from Parrots and Co. His name is Ernie Washington and he's still going strong. I'd recommend purchasing from them. They guided me to the best fit for my lifestyle. Taught me how to care and feed him, as he was a baby. Don't hesitate to shop there. Very knowledgeable staff. Thanks again.

The elderly woman with blonde hair and glasses behind the desk was so rude. A costumer in front of me was a woman with a small child, the woman bought four items. The customer asked the lady for a bag to which the clerk replied "we don't give out bags unless you really need them" the woman looked at her confused because obviously she needs one that's why she asked her for one and the clerk said "we have bags we just don't give them out unless you really need one and you can just carry your items out" The lady says ok thank you and walks out holding her child's hand and four items of bird seed.
When I went to ring up my order the clerk said to me with a very nasty tone" I have people that buy so many products and carry out all their items with no problem and she wants a bag for four items unbelievable, her and her child can carry the items out."I didn't reply back to her I was so shocked a worker would blatantly talk to a costumer about another customer.
The clerk should be happy that she has paying costumers and she should accommodate her costumers with a bag for their items. The fact that this woman spent money in this store to be talked about by the worker is sad. On another occasion I was interested in buying a bird and the owner told me he had baby conures when I asked him the noise level on these birds he said they don't make much noise and I almost put a $500 deposit on the bird until I YouTube conure sounds and realized they can be very noisy. He was blatantly lying to me to make a sale. This is the last time I will spend my hard earned money at a store that does not appreciate or respect the costumers.

Highly knowledgeable staff dedicated to caring for their birds. This place is awesome if your a bird lover. I bought a gorgeous, and gentle Meyer's parrot from them today. He's a sweetheart. Not the first time I've been there but the 1st time purchasing a bird from them. Fyi they also do much more than sell birds.

I got my two Budgies here, one a little more than a year ago, and the other almost a year ago. Parrots and Company has great service, and while the employees aren't quick to greet you, it's very understandable because they're running a business with tons of birds. I got to Parrots and Company to get my birds' seed mix (mostly used for foraging) and millet sprays.

Fantastic place for all things related to pet birds and Parrots. They hatch and hand feed quite a variety of parrots, parakeets, finches, conures. Last time I checked, they had Cockatiels, Indian Ringnecks, Alexandrian Parakeets, Green Cheek Conures, my favorite Caiques, African Greys, Cockatoos, Macaws etc but all depending on what they have hatched at that time.
They do not buy from outside to sell to you! Well run business, clean with well managed. They offer clipping and boarding services. Although at first they may seem to be expensive, if you are unaware of Parrot pricing, but after lots of comparative research, I found them to be very reasonable and fair for what they offer. Their parrots are all weaned by hand and so from birth don't see hands and fingers as something to fear.
They are healthy and kept clean and we'll provided for. The store offers toys, bird food, cages, perches. Very good advice from the people there who own and have much experience with birds themselves.

It's really unfortunate that I'm only leaving 2 stars because I can honestly say I have tried my hardest to like this place. I started bringing my bird about a year ago for simple wings/nails trimming and food/toys. The whole place is fantastic but the two women who work here (short black/grey hair and blonde with glasses) are both unbelievably rude.
The first 3-4 times I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were "busy" and that's why they were very short and snappy with all of their customers. I went today and I was the only customer in the store. They trimmed my birds wings and nails, then the blonde woman came out and told us to "never bring him back with his cage in this condition." It wasn't immaculately clean, because it's a bird, and birds poop.
So then the woman with the black hair rang me up, she didn't speak a single word. She tossed the pen at me, and walked away without thanking me for my business or anything. So for that reason I will never ever give these women my business again. It's truly sad because these women are passionate about the birds, but they have know clue they are destroying their business because they have zero respect for their loyal customers.

I literally cannot speak highly enough of this store and its staff/owner. It is my favorite place to spend time in all of CT. The birds (and tortoises, bunny, lizard and cat) are SO happy, healthy and well-socialized. The amount of time, energy and love that the owner and staff puts into the care of these beautiful creatures is truly remarkable. I have watched and listened to them when someone inquires about buying a bird, and they take the time to educate about the commitment of bird ownership while guiding the customer to which bird would be a good fit, and all that goes into the care of that bird.
They have an amazing selection of feed, toys, cages, etc.really everything you could ever need for your bird. You can watch them feed the baby birds in their nursery or be endlessly entertained by the parrots that hang out on perches throughout the store. One stop shop for all your bird needs. Plus they board birds, and I can't imagine a safer place to leave your bird!

This store is amazing! I purchased a baby cockatiel here a couple of weeks ago and was provided with all of the information I needed. They let me visit to the store to come bond with my bird before he was ready to come home and they obviously genuinely care about their animals. They have an amazing selection of birds and supplies and take amazing care of all of their animals. My cockatiel is now home and doing well! Thank you!

Giving 1 star because none is not an option. I called ahead of time to get the cost of services. Was grossly misquoted pricing information over the phone. Upon getting ready to pay, we were charged almost $40 more then we would have paid elsewhere for the same service. When we informed them we were given different pricing information over the phone they did not care.
I informed one of the employees, Laurie Fierst, who was very rude to us that we would be writing this review. She said she didn't care. I will never set foot in this store with our animals again.

Customer service is awful here. Female worker with short hair incredibly rude, did not approach or help a single customer. Allowed customers to chase and save birds that landed on floor. Blonde woman was much nicer, animals are in great condition and most seem very friendly. Prices on birds are also pretty good too, but the lack of enthusiasm and care from the workers is incredibly off-putting.
For such a great place with such amazing animals I would hope they get staff that is more personable and enthusiastic about having such a great job. Would not suggest a new bird owner to go here to learn or shop. Experienced bird owners only.

Really a different as so much of their birds are out in the open on various stands so it gives you a chance to interact with them directly -- be careful, we have nearly gotten attached to a number of parrots (the last few years, the baby blue and golds in particular tends to be so sweet -- and then there are those mischevious goffins). Laurie, Todd, and most of the staff there have always been nice to us; there is a lot going on sometimes there and there can a bit of a wait but nothing crazy and we are busy playing the birds. I find P&Co to be very knowledgable and helpful. The birds really seem so well cared for and pretty socialized. I definitely recommend a visit them if you are in the area.

The woman working the floor was very rude to me and not helpful at all. I just came in looking for a nice cage for my three conures, something that I could split in half, and she could not be bothered to help me. She rolled here eyes at me everytime I spoke. I drove an hour from Guilford to get some help - what a waste of my sunday.
