Carolina Pet Resort in the Irmo area of Columbia, SC, is family owned and operated, and we are committed to making your pet's stay pleasurable and safe. We enjoy what we do and are proud of the excellent reputation we have built. We offer boarding for dogs, cats, and other small pets. We also provide grooming for dogs.

Carolina Pet Resort has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been a member of the IBPSA (International Boarding & Pet Services Association), or its predecessors, since we opened the pet kennel in 2001.

Boarding Report

Vaccinations - must be current on Rabies and Distemper; Bordetella vaccination for canine cough within last 6 months (nasal/oral) or 12 months (injectable) - vet record required. Bordetella must be given 3 days prior to coming. SPECIAL REQUEST above and beyond what we offer will be charged an $8 fee.

Grooming Report

Prices will increase in the New Year of 2022. We offer baths and all-breed grooming while your dog is staying with us (on request), or by appointment. Vaccinations are required. Prices shown below are starting base prices. Prices are based on temperament of dog, breed and condition of coat (mats, heavy undercoat, fleas, etc.).

Additional Services Report

Carolina Pet Resort offers raised beds for use while staying in the kennel for $1 per night. We also offer nature walks (each 10-15 minutes). The kennel sits on 8 acres in Columbia, SC, in the Irmo area, and we have cut trails through the woods that are used for the nature walks. There is an additional charge of $8 per nature walk.

Reservations Report

Holidays and peak vacation times are busy for everyone, and we impose a charge for a 3-4 day minimum stay during these times. This allows us to schedule the occupancy (and cleaning) of our kennels so that your pet's accommodations are ready when you arrive. It also allows us to minimize scheduling conflicts. At times when we are at capacity (and turning way business), if you show up late or not at all, you may be charged for the time reserved.

I've lived all over the country and this is still my favorite boarding & grooming facility. I've had 3 dogs that they've taken care of and the level of service I received when dealing with two senior dogs was phenomenal. My dogs are my kids and I had complete trust in leaving them here.

Our pups (two wirehaired dachshunds) have been day boarding, overnight boarding and getting groomed at CPR for 7+ years. They get super excited to go in every time. The staff spends time with our pups and cares about their well-being. They have reasonable prices all around.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! We were so nervous to bring our high anxiety Malinois here a couple of years ago but they did such an awesome job with her! Then we added a Pit Bill to our family and I was nervous about them not taking her. but again, they did amazing with our dogs! Thank you so much for being awesome with our dogs and their breed!

My fur babies always seem so excited to visit here. They are very well taken care of and spoiled by the staff! It's nice trusting and knowing my pups are in good hands, while we are away. The staff also doesn't discriminate or hold bias to particular breeds of dogs.
