Services
The Tulsa Dog Training Club, Inc. was organized in 1947 and is the oldest obedience training club in the State of Oklahoma. All members offer their services on a volunteer basis and receive no remuneration. In order to carry out our objectives, the members work together to perform the many chores necessary to provide the services we offer.
We offer group obedience and agility training classes, from puppy kindergarten to the highest levels of competitive obedience and agility. We teach and encourage positive training methods using treats, toys, and verbal praise as rewards. All instructors are volunteers and have earned at least one AKC Obedience Title with their dog.
Classes will be 55 minutes in length so the instructor has time to clean the ring before the next class. You may either mail your enrollment form, drop it in the mail slot at the club, or email it to puppycoordinator@tulsadogs.com (if paying via credit card). Dogs that complete puppy class are ahead of the game when they start their obedience training.
We teach and encourage positive training methods using treats, toys, and verbal praise as rewards. All instructors are volunteers and have earned at least one AKC Obedience Title with their dog. All instructors complete a hands-on apprenticeship program and participate in continuing education. Classes often fill well before the enrollment deadline.

I enrolled Otto in Beginner's Obedience and had the good fortune to have Dan as our trainer. I am so impressed with Dan's style of training, he's very gentle and patient, and Otto made great progress. And Otto passed his exam today! 100/10 would recommend!

I have taken 4 classes now at Tulsa Dog Training Club. The club is entirely run by volunteers who are passionate about dogs- which keeps the cost down. My chocolate lab and I have had 4 different teachers who have all been great! The club also sponsors all types of dog classes and events. My favorite class so far is Nosework where your dog learns to identify and find particular scents. It is a fun place to meet other dog owners and teach your dog to behave!

Been training at the club for more than a decade. There is no better place in Northeast Oklahoma to learn how to train your dogs.

I took my dog in for 10 weeks of beginner obedience school. Before school, I thought my dog was a lost cause and was too unruly to finish the course. After the first two lessons, I almost quit. We worked hard and did homework 2-3x a week and finished the course. By the end end, it was like having a different dog. Her temperament improved. She didn't bark as much, obeys commands well. Jihrlea and Laura are fantastic trainers.

Best place in town. No paid positions. All trainers train because they want the best dog you can have. Your class fee is for up keep on building and property. Try them you will love them.

Friendly volunteers. But remember they are volunteers, usually retired and super friendly and love dogs, your trainers will vary on who you get. It is ran in a pretty old school type way, you cannot email your application to then you have to bring it in person.

Take all my dogs to TDTC. Started out for just basic training but became interested in agility training. Instructors do not get paid. Member dues and training fees go towards care of their facilities and putting on competitions. Won't find a better price in town for training.
