Animal Aid of Tulsa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving sick, injured, and abused stray dogs and cats in Tulsa, Oklahoma and its surrounding communities. We help pets find loving homes, and encourage respect and awareness for the rights of companion animals.
Services
Animal Aid was founded in Tulsa in 1961, and has offered animal welfare-related services to the community ever since. Today Animal Aid is the only organization in Tulsa that stands ready to take in sick or injured animals without owners, day or night. Animal Aid is funded entirely by your generous donations.
Click the photos to learn more about these wonderful pets for adoption! Animal Aid adopts dogs and cats to loving homes with approved applications. Adoption fee includes current vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchipping. Since we are a volunteer based organization, it may take a few days to receive initial follow-up regarding your adoption application.
I wanted to share you all about our new journey with Journey. I have been blessed with the opportunity to take in our home girls who have been identified as victims of sex trafficking while we find long-term homes for them. Not only does Journey bring a sense of safety to the home, but she has been very therapeutic to the girls when they come.
We ask that you be prepared to foster a pet until a suitable "forever" home is found. It's impossible to predict how long this will take - some pets are adopted very quickly and others take weeks or even months. Animal Aid of Tulsa covers all necessary supplies (food, crate, bedding, toys, etc.) and medical care.

Went in Wednesday for the first time at new store. I was excited to see how it was improved. Well I was disappointed by far. Walk in and you're hit with a display that was to awkward to get around with people leaving. I couldn't make rhyme or reason what was wear except the men's pants. As I circled to the back an employee kept raising her voice to another employee about how she had to have a Dr. note to come back, over and over.
I don't think that kind of interaction with your employees should be done in 'public'. Not classy. I don't know if it is, but it feels smaller, darker, and less organized. The old store was laid out in a way you could wander around for quite awhile. I was in and out in less that 5 min this time. I don't think I'll make any special trip to that part of town anytime soon. AND no one even said hello or goodbye, need happier people there.

Cute little thrift store for a super great cause! Shopping here helps support the wellbeing of our furry friends. I've brought donations there during their business hours and shopped there myself. They usually have t shirts, stickers, mugs, etc that have animal aids logo on them for purchase as well. Highly recommend!

If you are an animal lover, this is THE place to donate! And it's amazing how much merchandise they are able to stock in such a small space if you are shopping. Good deals abound.a few years ago I got about 10 years worth of replacement C9 bulbs for my Christmas lights for about a buck seventy! If you are looking for vintage glassware, this is also the place for you.
There is a huge variety. If you follow them on Facebook, they also have sales all the time. They are often quite busy, so if you are out and about on a weekday, that would be my recommended time to visit, especially if you are bringing items to donate. If you need a tax receipt, they will complete one for you inside at the register.

This place is amazing, because not only are you getting AMAZING deals on thrift items, but your money that you spend then gets used to help save animals in the Tulsa Shelter. It's an amazing store with wonderful staff. I love the fact that they always have that precious dog in there for me to love on!

This is a great little shop run by animal aid. They have a variety of clothes, jewelry, housewares, and shoes in stock at great prices. I visited with my cousin today and was surprised to see all the items in stock. There were jewelry pieces in the original packages! The shopkeeper was very friendly and allowed me to look over the large amount of jewelry.
She said that one whole case came from one donation! I picked out a pair of barely worn Lucky Brand shoes and some jewelry. If you're looking for a great place to find some great deals and have your money go to a good cause, check out this shop.

I really like this store and definitely support their animal aid mission. I have donated a lot of items here over the years and I am pleased to see it seems to be thriving. It is small, well organized, and a cut above the standard thrift shop yet still cheaper than most higher end consignment shops, while offering a lot of similar nice and name brand goods. However, with all of these things said, they lose a star from me on pricing.
I just think a lot of items in the store are priced a few dollars above where they need to be for midtown Tulsa shoppers and would like to see that come down a little bit so that it would be more reasonable and perhaps items would move out the doors more quickly. I think it is a bad sign for a charity thrift shop when I continually see ten dollar items that I feel are worth five bucks and they're there two or three months later, marked down only slightly.

This place makes my soul so happy! If you love thrift stores and animals, Animal Aid is the place to be. There are usually animals in their store (cats and dogs), and they have some pretty sweet deals! During a promotional period last year, I got a brand new London Fog coat for $7. It was magical. Although it is smaller than some of the other thrift options in Tulsa, it is for a great cause. Also, the staff is lovely! 10/10 would recommend!

Very well kept. All animals here seemed healthy, happy and well cared for. When I was there they had a doggy door up because they allow some dogs to roam about the front area freely. I was there looking at cats and the worker really knew and cared about the animals. When I picked my cat up there was a 90lb mastiff/great dane puppy that ran up to me who was super sweet.

I used to shop and donate frequently to this organization. Then I noticed they price their household items (gently used or not) the same, if not higher, what they would be at the store. Once I even asked them to price match the bamboo flatware organizer to the price it was going for brand new at the store, they wouldn't. They had a single serving blender with almost all the attachments, they were asking $5 more than the same brand new set at the local megastore.
Out of everything I have seen and purchased from this place, I can't say any of those pieces were memorable, unique or out of the ordinary. hmmmm, let me think.nope, nothing. Oh wait, I found an almost new pair of Sperry's for my sister @$28. Towards the end, I would come here hoping to be wooed to continue shopping here, but was disappointed enough to give up.
Now I support children getting an education through the Assistance League of Tulsa & Operation Bell. They're prices are thrift store reasonable and on any given day you are sure to find literal and figurative gems and jewels!

The little thrift shop is well organized, I will give them that, but for merchandise that is basically outcast garage sale goods at best, it is overpriced and cluttered. The smell of cat in the clothing room is enough to make you turn around and walk out. There is a lot of nothing here. The best thing it has going for it is that it is for a good cause. For that reason alone, I rated it three stars. Reduce your prices and you will probably sell off some of the clutter so you can focus on better quality.

Any establishment that helps animals in need is automatically a 5 star stop to me! It's a typical thrift store, BUT.you are helping a great cause just by shopping here. So if you're feeling the need to peruse a thrift shop, please consider checking this place out first. They have some really great finds inside! This location also accepts donations for cat and dog toys, treats, blankets, bedding, etc. help some T-town pets in need and shop here :

I love shopping here. There is a nice variety of clothes and tons of other items (books, movies, household stuff, everything), the people are friendly, and I love that it's a win-win situation where I get something I want/need while helping out animals at the same time. The way the building is kind of tucked in, it can be difficult to find. If you get stuck, just call them.
