Services
Dr. Steve Crofoot began his career with Grand Paws in 2009 as a part-time doctor working only 1 day a week. Little did he know, we would need him much more than that as the years passed and our practice expanded. Steve grew up in Kansas on a large cattle farm that had up to 40 thousand head of cattle at a time!

Talk about cleanliness! This place was a pleasure to visit with my foster pup. Came here for the first time today for a well check on Roxy and was immediately feeling at home with her. The office doesn't look like an office at all; it's more like a home. The staff were keeping busy with attending to the phones and disinfecting/cleaning the office. Dr was nice, rooms were very clean and the prices here are very fair. Would definitely visit again, and highly recommend!

My pets have been patients for over 7 years. They have gone through lots of changes over the years some good, some bad. Love Dr. Johnson, Crowfoot and missing Dr. Sink, those are the only vets I see. Unfortunately, prices have increased over the last 3 years and dealing w/some of the staff has been a challenge but hands down I will continue to be a loyal customer. Plus, they have always done their best in getting my furbabies seen. Kudos to GrandPaws!

Dr. Crowfoot was the best vet for my beloved dog Sydney. He was there for her when she really needed him the most back in 2019. Such a caring man. I take my cat there now too.

Exemplary care from every aspect of their practice. All the veterinarians and staff are wonderful. I have traveled all over the country during my working life and I've visited several different veterinary practices. Grand Paws is the absolute best. Hands down. No one else has come close. All my rescue dogs love Grand Paws and so do I. Thank goodness I'm retired and don't have to go anyplace else.

We absolutely love Grand Paws. We have been bringing our animals there since 2009. We have done out vet checks and had to put down 3 of our beloved fur babies. They have been wonderful everytime. Very patient with you when you have to make that tiff decision and give you plenty of time to say your tearful goodbyes. I appreciate Grand Paws and all of the staff so much for taking such great care of our 4 legged babies.

This is the BEST vet in the state and I'm not exaggerating. They are amazing in their treatment and care. Every staff member shows that your fur baby is the most important thing during the visit and they offer the most unobtrusive options in care that they can. My dog is getting older and arthritis is becoming something to work with. Fearing we were about to start down a road of medication and frequent vet visits we brought her in for a check up. Vets recommendation? Tweak the diet. That change took 4 years away and I have a happy healthy dog that gives puppies a run for their money.

My experience was the absolute best! Everyone was sooo nice and soo helpful! Plus, they were willing to help our sweet Max out! I felt as though they seriously cared about him, as if he was one of their own fur family members! We will be bringing all our animals to you going forward!

Great clinic! They don't try to sell you everything under the moon. They are only about your pet.

Think their fancier then they are. Rush through appointments and don't listen to concerns or do thorough check up on animal. They push things you don't need. Will take my pet somewhere that's actually caring of animals that come through the door.

This review is based off my moms shitzu Ivan who passed away. He had a heart condition and they made the remainder of his life as comfortable as possible with meds, they thought this would give Ivan about a month to live, he lived an additional 6 months. When he passed they gave my option of cremation and would also give her a "paw print" of Ivan's.

We didn't have any idea what to expect. Well she received his print, it came in a very nice box and inside was a poem, a lock of Ivan's hair and also his paw print in cement. It was so touching and brought all of us to tears. They were so sweet to my mom the entire time. I highly recommend them. Thank you for making his end of life so special.

Dr. Crofoot is an exceptional doctor. He has seen my dog many times before. We were only there for his annual vaccinations but he took the time to check him thoroughly and ask about his health before administering his shots. We highly recommend Grand Paws, and we appreciate the wonderful care that all of you provide to our furry family members.

Won't go anywhere else. We feel as if we are treated like family here, and our puppy is treated as if she is one of their own pets. Everyone is beyond caring and we know she is in wonderful hands.

Wonderful Drs and staff! Always get back to you for follow up. Worked through issues with my GSD Jaxx and helped me through the pain of letting my cat Max over the rainbow bridge. Can't say enough good about these folks!

Knowledgeable, loving care to both my cat and dog for many years. Highly recommend. The only clinic Mr. Wiggles got excited to go. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed by the receptionist and other staff. You know they truly care about your precious pet. Whenever l needed to call regarding a concern about my pet l always received a response in a timely manner. Very much appreciated.

Love taking our pup here! We've had great experiences both times we've gone in. They take their time and answer your questions and they offer feedback/suggestions. There is a warm, inviting vibe here. I definitely recommend this animal clinic to anyone who is looking for a quality place to take their fur baby.

Best animal clinic to exist. Overall from the front door to the doctor great staff. I have two dogs and they both go to grandpaws and any future dog or pet will go to grandpaws. Dr. Johnson we had a couple times to help with my dog Charley, who was super sick the Emergency vets tried but not like her. She instantly knew what was wrong with him, got him On the Correct medicine and he went from being deadly sick to running around soon to make full recovery. THESE DOCTORS ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE.

The office staff is nice sometimes they are all booked up and they will advise you to call back in the am to see if there are any cancellations. Instead of just saying oh we're booked sorry call back next month. I refer a lot of people who are worried about their dogs here. I hope they took my advice, they care! And are very adorable.

I was going to Surprise animal hospital but after my favorite doctor left I started seeking other clinics nearby. I went online & looked at Grand Paws reviews and found a lot of good and useful reviews from other fur moms & dads. I taken my first fur baby a few months back for a second opinion & got some great feedback. Plus the visit was complimentary for new patients.

Especially nice! I had to take my second little guy yesterday as came down with an ear infection this past week. They were able to get me in the office in a few days which is great considering most places are booked out weeks. We seen Dr. Crofoot & his tech's and they are all fantastic! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice.

My min pin has high anxiety and they completely won him over and calmed him down. I was so happy he finally relaxed that they were also able to do a quick nail trim. They got his medicine administered in his ear & he's a happy guy 24 hours later. So happy to have found Grand Paws!

I called to set up an appointment on 5/28/2020, and they said the soonest they could work me in was 6/29/2020. I waited a whole month to be seen at this establishment, I was referred to them. I arrived 15 minutes early, went ahead and called the office as stated on their door. The phone went to voicemail, so I was calm and left a message, 15 minutes later I walked in and asked about the message, and being checked in.

They shrugged me off and I went back to my vehicle to wait, at 9A.M. 15 minutes after I physically went in, someone comes out for another car that had pulled up 5 minutes beforehand. I stated to the girl working that I was STILL waiting, and she told me someone would come out eventually. I left at 9:30A.M. After waiting in my car for 45 minutes. No one ever called me to ensure I was going to my appointment, not a single care was given to myself or my two pets. Save your money, this office could care less about your and your pets needs.

4 vets and no one could help us diagnose out dog Lily. We had so many tests ran. All the vets were nice but did not know what else to try. I ran into Grand Paws as they had some equipment other vets didn't to help us. It is such a comfy home like office. The staff from desk, to tech and all the doctors are so nice and professional, I am really impressed with the staff.

Their prices were fair and I paid a lot less with them as they didn't charge for things like another vet we were going to. They did some trouble shooting. We finally got to see the owner who was a vet and he confirmed our Lily had cancer. I felt bad she had suffered a year through so much testing and feeling ill. She was a real trooper. I wish we knew about them sooner.

They took care of her for us. Even sent a card apologizing for our loss. Everyone in the office signed. Talk about a tear jerking moment. Just when I thought I was done crying. Very thoughtful. Definitely recommend.

Years ago I wrote a positive review for them. The last year has been a disaster. It started with my Girls side wound. The assistant practically cover the wound with staples which became undone withing hours. Dr. Sink removed the staples and applied half as many. They held until removal. I let it go. My boy developed a small cist on the underside of his right ear.

The cist was clipped and a $50.00 head cover was put on. This cover kept coming off every hour or so and I had blood spatter all over the walls and furniture. I replaced it with a large Band-Aid. Fixed with a 10 ct. band-aid. I let it go. Today I took my boy for a rabies booster shot. He is a re-homed Vizsla and I changed his name from Copper to Captain.

He had a previous certificate under Copper and Maricopa County registered him under that name. In an email (prior to the appointment) I asked for the certificate to include both names. No problem they answered. just bring the records/documents. When presented with the bill they only had Cap's name. What came after their refusal to live up to what they promised was not pretty. Needles to say we will no longer use their services.

I've been to Grand Paws about three times now and the services is absolutely amazing. Each time I have seen different vets and so far I have no complaints. Everyone is very pet loving and the office is so clean. The staff is also very professional and efficient. I'm a mom of 4 dogs and I will continue to take them here. I highly recommend Grand Paws. Thank you! -Gordon Family

Grand Paws Animal Clinic is by far the best veterinary clinic we have ever taken our pets. When walking in the door, one can't help but notice how clean and organized it is. Actually nicer than many doctors offices we have been to. All the staff are genuinely so caring and helpful. The staff treats your pet as a human patient. We had to have a major procedure on our kitty and we are very satisfied with the results and the cost. We were told what the cost would be before the procedure, so no surprises. As a bonus, the clinic is extensively decorated for the Christmas Holidays.

The whole staff at this clinic really do care about your pets and their costs are reasonable. I researched all the veterinary clinics in the area for reviews and cost, they are the best clinic in the Surprise area. We had our 10 year cat in for a FHO surgery for his dislocated hip to relieve his hip pain and to give him another 10+ years of happiness. Dr. Johnson and us, discuss surgery options should we need to go to plan B.

Thank goodness she did, turns out his leg could not be salvaged and we went to plan B for amputation. Dr. Johnson explained the xrays and gave us clear directions on how to help our cat recover. Today, my cat is one happy pain free cat on 3 legs and I have Dr. Johnson to thank for this. I highly recommend this clinic and their Veterinarians for their professional care and their reasonable cost. I am super happy with Grand Paws for the last 3 years!

Best veterinary practice I have been to. Caring, genuine, easy going professionals from desk staff to Veterinarians. I have brought my cat here several times now and continue to be wowed everytime. The office is clean, beautiful and well organized. The care is affordably priced. This office is only 10 minutes from the 303 and El Mirage. An easy trip from North Peoria. So happy I drove an additional 5 minutes to this office versus prior vet offices.

We have been going to Grand Paws for years after going from Vet to Vet here in the Valley (after moving here from the east coast). The Doctors, tech and front staff are wonderful and I highly recommend them. I currently have 3 dogs and 1 cat. 2 of the 3 dogs are sick - one with congestive heart failure and the other with an unknown infection. I am a neurotic fur mom who is a bit crazy when it comes to our fur babies and everyone at Grand Paws has been wonderful about getting us in for last minute appointments, filling medicine requests and generally being kind, caring and compassionate.

A few years back before Dr Johnson and Natario joined, I would get frustrated because it was hard to get an appointment after Dr. St Clair left. I am grateful for the addition of these 2 wonderful doctors who have provided excellent care to our dogs. Dr. Johnson recently diagnosed and has been treated one of our dogs for congestive heart failure, and another for what might be Valley fever.

When she is not available Dr. Natario and even Dr. Sink have seen them for follow ups and emergencies, and all have been wonderful. The techs are wonderful too. We adore Lynn (I know she spells her name differently) and Amber. All of the techs we have met are so kind and we appreciate them. Nahla, Joe, Brenna, Stacie, Olivia and and all of the front desk team are patient, kind, compassionate and wonderful. I am sorry if I have forgotten anyone! Thank you for the wonderful care you all provide to our 4 legged babies.

Grand Paws was referred to me when I had to put my Rottweiler down. I was crushed but they were awesome. Made the whole experience less painful. They were very loving and sent me a condolence card which was nice. I now have an Australian Cattle dog puppy and have been going to a vet closer to my house. But I really didn't care for the vet there.

When my dog needed her last shots I chose to call Grand Paws. Wow we saw Dr. Michele Johnson and she was absolutely amazing! She really listened to me and she was very knowledgeable. Great office and I feel really comfortable going there. Everyone is very nice. Even though it's a further drive its absolutely worth it!

I have been using them for a while now. They are kind and caring and try to keep costs down. Pets are expensive, but they listen and do what is necessary. I highly recommend. They came in under estimate for a tumor removal. They understand that I have 12 pets right now (2 are not mine, including the tumor removal) and don't overcharge. Help me get blind dog Jasmine in and out of the car. Very pleased.

I've been taking my pets to Grand Paws for years! I personally wouldn't want to take them anywhere else. This is the best vet in the west valley! They give great care and don't cost an arm and a leg like some places. I'm glad that they're by appointment only and how flexible they are with the times. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It makes me happy when my dogs are being checked and the Dr is very loving towards them that all they do is lick their face

This is such a great place! My dog had crusty bumps all over her back. I took her in and she saw a different doctor this time. He was excellent. Very caring. He prescribed a shampoo and antibiotics which greatly helped her (total visit cost ~$80). We returned in 2 weeks to follow-up (free visit) and she was better, but not completely. He prescribed an allergy medication in conjunction with the shampoo and antibiotics and she's all better now (allergy medication cost ~$50). The people here are always nice. The prices can't be beat. I trust them with my sweet little Chloe's health. I'm grateful we have such a wonderful vet!
